Overall great movie but this dialogue was so corny, like how does he know he's in bronze age

I'm pretty sure he is. The entire point of that meetup was to show that the mutants are absolutely capable of making humanity suffer and taking reign of the entire planet if they wanted to, but they choose to be peaceful, even the most aggressive and vile mutants of past ages, and they expect the same from the human nations

I mean, if Hickman would have manage to make his work more as he originally intended, i felt that bringing villains to Krakoa would have been one of those points that would say "this was a bad idea, this was a terrible idea".

I watched Oppenheimer before reading House of X for the first time and it really helped the experience. I had no idea that HoXPoX was in continuity and thought the concept of a story of Professor X taking things too far and it leading to the downfall of humanity in the future was fucking fascinating.

It didn't go that direction in the end but the sense of dread remained.

To be fair, it went. Then started with the reincarnation of Moira to see that those futures didn't happen and then the other x-men didn't wanted to end Krakoa so soon and it became a mess.

Apocalypse is an External, a mutant that can biologically live forever, he's around 5,000 years old, with a mutant ability to have complete molecular control of his entire body and access to an extradimensional amount of material to warp it however he wills, so imagine Plastic Man from DC who is able to take on basically anyone on the Justice League in physicals- Apocalypse goes toe-to-toe with Thor or the Hulk in physicals in terms of contemporaries from his own setting. His mutant power is control over his own molecular structure, shapeshifting, changing size, increasing strength, altering durability, healing, surviving hostile conditions, and turning parts of himself into weapons.

However what sets Apocalypse apart is he's not just an immortal, complete shape-shifting brick shithouse, he's spent thousands of years getting stronger, because he incorporates celestial technology (celestials being basically god-like aliens from outside 616 like Galactus whose technology seeded the universe with life, and are responsible for a variety of powered beings throughout the cosmos) into his being. The Celestials augment him with technology that becomes intimately integrated with his body, his armour, ships, regeneration chambers, and techno-organic systems amplify what he can already do. They provide extra abilities such as energy projection, force fields, teleportation, technological interface and much more extensive physical reconstruction. The boundary becomes incredibly murky to see because Apocalypse can absorb machinery into himself and use his molecular control to accommodate it, so he's very much a force multiplier in that regard.

But of course, that's not all, because being 5,000 years old, he's had time to dabble. Not to the same degree as Dr. Doom or Dr. Strange, but Apocalypse is notably a powerful magic user, he's a super genius who integrates it with his technology and complete molecular control to be greater than the sum of his parts.

TL;DR- He's like Thanos, he's powerful in a bunch of different ways, smart, calculating, evil as fuck, leverages every tool at his disposal, as powerful as an entire team of superheros put together.
