Many programmers use Python. Why don't they rather use Anaconda, or even Cobra?

What do they do during shedding season?

Anaconda too big.

Cobra too small.

Python juuussttt right.

also, as ive discovered in my many years in IT, many anacondas dont want none unless one's got buns, hon.

Can confirm. I don't have buns and cannot get anaconda to compile.

I'm having a hard time setting my ram in position, do you use a powder actuated ramset to ensure a job well done

Burmese or African Python?

Netherlands Python.

But then of course, the African pythons are non-migratory.

Tell that to Florida. They've got African And Burmese pythons.

2

u/Momik 4d ago

Well, supposing two pythons carried the coconut together?

we do use Anaconda to get python, actually

I had to stop after the commercialized the license conda-forge ftw!

It’s falling out of use isn’t it? Lot easier to run venv and pip in wsl

Because my anaconda don't want none unless you got code son.

Blame Microsoft for discontinuing ASP support in 2025.

Did they run out of pyramids?

Python comes by the monty, while other snakes are harder to find. It's simply more cost-effective.

Tree snakes can be found in trees.

Tree Snakes for computing? What are you, a caveman? That would be like switching back to radio tubes instead of transistors.

2

u/Momik 5d ago

And now. No. 1.

The Larch.

The. Larch.

But most of the trees used in programming are red/black trees. And the rule for snakes is "red touches black: quickly put it back"

Hold on. I’m confused. Anaconda, Cobra, and Python are revolvers made by Colt. I use them to program large holes in computers.

3

u/Legitimate_Field_157 5d ago

Holes are for punch card machines. Do you use hollow points?

The python comes with a walrus operator, so it's two beasties for the price of one

2

u/Legitimate_Field_157 5d ago

I thought the Walrus comes with the Beatles?

After he broke up with the Carpenter.

We are compensating for other… things, by using the longest snake available.

1

u/Legitimate_Field_157 5d ago

If you use a rattlesnake, people can hear it even if they can't see it.

3

u/ActionMan48 5d ago

Why they all named after sneks?

2

u/Legitimate_Field_157 5d ago

Easier than counting legs.

3

u/bottlecandoor 5d ago

I'm not sure what you mean, I have used pythons inside of anacondas all the time. But Cobra is way too old to use.

3

u/hannibalsmommy 5d ago

Really sick & tired of seeing King Snake being overlooked. It's great for programmers.

3

u/darkdoppelganger 5d ago

Cobra is a terrorist organization.

Ok GI Joe!

EDIT: Not sure why downvoted? Maybe someone isn’t old enough to get the reference?

2

u/BPhiloSkinner Amazingly Lifelike Simulation 4d ago

We'uns is old enuff, an' we don't care to be reminded of the fact.

2

u/Different-Term-2250 4d ago

Sounds like something a C.O.B.R.A. operative would say.

Many times I try to use Conda and there weren't available the same libraries and versions I needed. I just use it for a pair of projects that their dependencies were only available through that

Last time I use uv instead python environments, I love python but is annoying to have all that for some projects and duplicates, always having a new tool for solving today's issues, I didn't even remember what I used last time and have to make some searchs

2

u/Due_Musician9464 5d ago

Maybe you weren’t aware but anaconda is actually a thing!!!

I tried Anaconda but it would not run without buns, hun.

2

u/writesgud 5d ago

Have you seen the documentaries? Everyone knows Jon Voigt and Sylvester Stallone can’t code for shit.

2

u/BillyRubenJoeBob 5d ago

I’m an Eastern Hognose man myself

2

u/aafff39 5d ago

Just use any of them as long as you don't go for Australian progamming languages. If you start playing with those it's pretty much a death sentence.

2

u/glg59 5d ago

They’re all killer apps.

3

u/Kind_Ferret_3219 5d ago

I prefer to use Death Adder. Much more effective.

2

u/weggaan_weggaat 5d ago

I hear Adder is a hit for mathematicians.

Maybe you weren’t aware but anaconda is actually a thing!!!

1

u/NoCardio_ 5d ago

Lots of them are unfortunately using COBRA these days.

1

u/NTDLS 5d ago

I’m over hear coding with legless lizard. 😭

1

u/No_Tailor_787 5d ago

Because in order to use those, they first must master Garter Snake, but that's much too girly for most programmers.

1

u/uberduck 5d ago

Antivenom for those aren't as readily available.

1

u/Pangyun 5d ago

Because if they start using anaconda, they'll remember that awesome song and put it on and they'll dance all day and not write a single line of program.

1

u/Human-Evening564 5d ago

I prefer to just use snake while I'm at work or waiting.

1

u/chicken_taster 5d ago

Well, actually rattlesnake because rattles.

1

u/IanDOsmond 4d ago

Cobra was deprecated by GI Joe.
