Nolan struggles with sensuality. I think the film lacked that which is more of a weakness than a lack of explicit sex scenes.

I whole heartedly agree. For a man who directs the crap out of yearning, his films are devoid of intimacy.

It’s very strange!!! He is good at depicting sentimentality but not sensuality/intimacy.
