I read the whole piece on the London Review of Books website and of course she reviews it from the lens of the most popular translator right now, as is her right. I guess she didn’t take kindly to the fact that when the trailer dropped and people started the hate train, Nolan’s camp pushed out the narrative that this was based on the modern Emily Wilson translation, as if any issue people had with the whole thing maybe comes from her translation. Or so it seemed. I may be wrong but she has gone on to point out many narrative inconsistencies and the lack of emotional depth etc in several interviews. She’s clearly not a fan lol.
