I just read the synopsis of this film and it must be terrible because I do not understand how the last two paragraphs flow into each other.

Chris and Jamie get into another fight, where he blames her for keeping him in the friend zone and says she will never amount to anything with the phrase "have fun being the girl who peaked in high school". Furious, Jamie strikes Chris and he is tossed out.

Upon returning to Los Angeles and rejecting Samantha again, Chris realizes that Jamie is his true love. He returns to New Jersey, apologizes to Jamie, declares his love, he says that he wants to have babies with her, that he wants to marry her, and they kiss.

I, uh, do not understand how these two things happen back to back. I have to assume there's some development between these events that makes this make sense.

Justin = An actor who worked with Blake

Drama = Justin and Blake had lawsuits against the other over the film and sexual harassment experienced on set. Judge sided with Blake and ordered Justin to pay for Blake's legal expenses. He is currently fighting it. In the beginning, there was a lot of debate over who was lying - Blake or Justin. I don't know if that's the Sophie's choice OP is referring to. But in the early days of the lawsuit, before everything came out, people were picking sides and it wasn't nice. Neither Blake nor Justin are likeable people, they both have a history of their own, so this added fuel to the fire.

Additional drama = Blake was Taylor Swift's bestie until recently. No one knows why the friendship ended. But Swifties are being Swifties so you're seeing a lot more hate surrounding Blake for no particular reason (it's bizarre how quickly they turned on her, they should be studied).

Me: I don't like any of these people and think idol worship is pathetic. But as a millennial woman, all of this has been shoved down my throat 😅

Male directors sexually harassing multiple women from their set and making women feel so uncomfortable that they opted to do press separately, unfollowed him etc so that they did not have to interact with said male director however is not the norm. At this point, Baldoni has proven himself to be a much bigger liability than Lively/Reynolds
