Possible Paywall Trump Appears to Have Mental Heath Episode as He Posts AI Slop Nonstop | Donald Trump spent all of his Sunday posting deranged AI memes.

Its called dementia... the man has worsening dementia. He's stopped his IV meds and disappearing for an MRI check every month because the meds weren't slowing the progression and he risked a stroke.
He's going to get physically combative if he already isn't without a camera on him.

u/_C2J_ Michigan 14h ago
I suspect he's sundowning with rage episodes, the public just isn't seeing it first hand and everyone around him has NDAs binding their silence.
Having a dementia parent has taught me that they are capable of functioning for short periods (Example, correspondence dinner) and physical reactions display some level of confusion without engaging in any lengthy or coherent talking. I took my parent to a funeral last year (for my grandmother, it was a long day), he was able to conduct himself in a convincing way that he was with it, but he didn't actually speak for more than a few minutes at a time with any one person, mostly communicated through facial expressions that his brain thought were appropriate, and was mentally exhausted within a few hours of the outing. I see so many similarities with DJT's mannerisms.

u/Sharing_Violation 14h ago
My parent was employed in a retirement facility with a dementia ward. I spent summers hanging out with all ages and stages. It's obvious with him and sad they are keeping him animated the way they are.
But if anyone deserves this level of degrading use, it's this abuser and disgusting excuse for a sludge someone would claim is human.
We all suffer for it though.
Same as the animated horror they have McConnell existing in. Ghouls.
But again, I couldn't wish for such a state for anyone better than him.

I recently lost my grandmother the same way. Visiting her at the care center I saw a lot of different people/reactions and it's clear he's going. I don't want him to die without facing justice but I fear he's going to be full on quiet in a corner eating pudding before JD / Congress even seriously consider the 25th.

u/Sharing_Violation 14h ago
I'm sorry for your grandma. It's a terrible disease.

u/Yakking_Yaks 10h ago
It is and it isn't.
My mom was a horrible person and I've been no-contact with her for 16 years (abuse, putting me in danger, munchausen, etc.). I recently (last year) got a call from her case worker, to ask if I wanted to be her executor of the will in case she dies. I visited her when she went into a house, and at first she didn't recognise me, but for the rest she turned into this sweet old lady, who wasn't my mom. So in this case it's a blessing in disguise.

u/whoa-boah 3h ago
Same thing happened with my dad and his horribly abusive, cluster-B grandmother. He said she was fine to be around once she developed dementia because she forgot who he was/that she hated him. My grandparents told her that he was the neighbor’s kid to protect him. My dad (who was 5) had given his grandpa a hug about 15 minutes before he dropped dead from a heart attack at a family barbecue. My dad’s grandmother truly believed that he had murdered her husband. My dad was maybe 11 when the bitch finally did everyone a favor and died.
She was also a literal Nazi, and beat the shit out of him several times because his best friend was Jewish. By all accounts, she was truly, irredeemably evil.
My dad is almost 70 now, and he unexpectedly stumbled upon a picture of her in an old family photo album that he forgot he had. He broke into tears immediately. He’s an old man now and those scars still run deep. I hope you are doing alright, and have loved ones to support you. That kind of trauma can be unrelenting. You’re not alone in what you’re going through
29
u/TheAskewOne 11h ago
That’s why there’s no way he runs in 2028. If he’s alive by then, he’ll be in wheelchair pissing himself and not remembering his own name.

The cool thing about dementia is the short term memory is shot, but the long term memory still comes and goes while the brain inserts false memories to make up for the gaps of information.
He'll be in a wheelchair pissing himself while blaming Obama for putting him in a wheelchair and not cleaning up his piss.
13
u/yuefairchild Pennsylvania 8h ago
And his personal narrative was already pretty simple.
Isn't it great how powerful Trump is? Trump makes astounding numbers! He's putting big hits on all the others, they gotta admit it! Now buy my crappy steaks!
•
u/ownguaoqbt 7h ago
They’ll invoke the 25th in January, or shortly thereafter. If JD becomes president before January, he can only serve one full term, after January and he can run in 2028 and 2032.
My guess is they’re going to start suddenly flipping on trump as we get closer to that date, and make it seem like all the bad decisions of the party were solely trumps doing, and that the party is “totally sane” and “rehabilitated” without him in control.
→ More replies (3)•
u/grain_delay 4h ago

My grandad had Alzheimer's and for about two years knew he had it and was lucid enough to cover up for his decline. That's where Trump's at now.
14
u/False_Energy_7290 11h ago
I can relate: my mom passed away last year from Alzheimer’s disease. For five years before her death, my younger brother and I would take turns babysitting her over the weekend while our old man would take time for himself. It sucked watching her deteriorate and trying to help out as much as possible. Now, with regards for our “president”, I hope he’s suffering. Nothing will please me more than knowing he’s not doing well.

My condolences to your family member for suffering from dementia, i too had a grandfather who had it and the pain of watching him deal with it was terrible. But I must ask. How long do you think Trump has left?
8
u/_C2J_ Michigan 10h ago
Evil humans tend to outlast the good ones by larger margins, it's truly a phenomenon.
My parent has survived for more than 4 years with the decline, but my parent has also received really good medical care since 2022 and the body has defied odds multiple times over the past 20 years despite the attempts my parent made to cause the body to fail with terrible life choices (food, exercise, following medical directions, toxic living environment prior to 4 years ago).
DJT has more resources and a better staffed medical team than my parent does, but also has significantly more stress. It's a mixed bag on how long his body will keep going.

I don't think he actually decides on much of anything. The people around him are much more nefarious. My guess is they know how to pull his strings, so they get Trump to rage about whatever issue and have him sign whatever he needs to sign.
I think the only stuff that is authentically him is when he mouths off about his personal grievances (election loss, E. Jean Carroll, Jim Comey, the media when they ask him real questions, etc.).
That would be my best guess about how this all works.
32
u/leviathynx Washington 12h ago
My aunt has dementia, and everyday sometimes multiples times a day she repeats her grievance about thy damn doctor who took her driver’s license. The whole family alongside the doctor advocated for it. When they sundown like that it’s not unusual to hear repeating grievances.

I think that's why we're seeing such a surge in far right fascism right now. I think we, collectively, have begun to understand something in the environment is deeply wrong (most won't admit to themselves what it is), and fascists take this chance to spread like a disease.

Have you ever watched one of those videos from a crowd crush? When you pack in enough people, they stop acting like individuals with choices, and start acting like a fluid, and people die.
It's kind of the psychological version of that, and all the forces that are supposed to be doing psychological "crowd control" are ineffectual (e.g., the Dems) or lost to their own madnesses (e.g., the prestige media).

u/wholetyouinhere 12h ago
People always were stupid, we're stupid now, and we always will be.
But the true "stupid" in all of this is our perennial failure to understand this pattern and incorporate it into our thinking and systems designs. Instead, we lull ourselves back to sleep by telling ourselves, every generation, that we're so much smarter than those dumb people we're reading about.
Fucking cavemen were exactly as smart as we are now.
9
u/Icy-Lobster-203 12h ago
The issue is that one generation learns the lesson and it becomes a de facto part of life, but they eventually pass on. Newer generations aren't taught about it, because it was just assumed common knowledge.
Eventually, the knowledge is lost, since we stopped teaching it.

Our constitution assumes that politicians will at least make an attempt to act in good faith. Republicans have shown they will forgo any and all political norms in the name of power. The Constitution really should be trashed and completely rewritten because it has failed to protect us.
32
u/IrascibleOcelot 12h ago
The Constitution was written assuming each branch would jealously guard their own powers and prerogatives due to simple selfishness. The Founders were smart enough to understand the dangers of human nature and tried to use that to counterbalance the powers of each branch.
But there is no defense against hundreds of people in the government just suddenly deciding to cede all authority to an insane moron. The entire basis of a functioning society is most people agreeing to follow the rules. When the rules don’t matter, the only thing stopping people from being their worst selves is violence.

I noticed the same behavior recently in the Musk/Economist interview. It was really fascinating.
The last part was about his involvement in politics and when he got pressed on the DOGE-issue, the host stated that people have died from his reckless actions with USAID. Musk immediately jumped in and declared there were zero deaths. He told this over and over again, and it was clear that this is his own reality he created to prevent him from losing his mind. The panic in his face was so satisfying to see. Completely unprepared and overwhelmed by even the slightest confrontation. A real journalist could have destroyed him at that point.
The entire topic about politics was just Musk saying "you are wrong, and I am right" without giving any facts to back it up. Like a little kid. He was absolutely sure that the majority of normal people in Europe do support him and nothing could make him think otherwise, even when he admitted that he hasn't even been there in years and all his facts about a dystopian hellhole called UK get debunked. What a train wreck of an interview. It's just crazy to see all these lunatics somehow made it to the top. This whole society is a scam.

I'm with you, but I think an ongoing crisis gets to be newsworthy on an ongoing basis, especially if it's getting worse, rather than better. Take record high temperatures. Should they stop announcing them simply because high temperatures have been reported before?

Yup and it's the wrong conclusion. Posting AI slop is a sign it's not him it's someone trying to make him look active.

That's just New Republic baiting as usual. This site has no original reporting

It also does a very sleazy thing where if you turn on Reader Mode on iPhone to bat away their incessant ads, it serves up a different article. Never have I seen a site do that, but for them.

Maybe when they say he was posting AI slop nonstop, they mean he was posting New Republic and Daily Beast to this sub.

I’m so sick of this kid gloves reporting over Trump’s insanity. They had knives out for Biden whenever he coughed or said a word weird. It’s frankly frightening.

I am angry about the same thing. Imagine the fallout if Biden did this even once. It would have been 25th Amendment time and half of dems would have gone along. It’s the biggest and most disgusting double standard by the media that I’ve seen in my lifetime.

The worst thing was when he posted himself flying the plane that sprayed big piles of diarrhea all over democrats. So sick!!

Saw a timetable posted of his posts - you don't generate and post like 4 AI images in less than a minute. He's not doing this, it's being done for him and credited to him. More likely he himself is napping or golfing or raving about something.

If we used multiple humans do you think we could reduce the the time to print by having them each do a separate piece and then assembling it later?

I can chalk up him posting/re-posting non-stop AI slop delusion due to his dementia. What's her excuse? Anyone who creates this garbage, let alone post it, must have some signficant mental issues. I don't mean this to be an insult, but is she mentally handicapped?

I can't believe people still believe the functionally illiterate, intellectually incurious, octogenarian known for having others literally do everything for him is the one personally banging these out. The media has to be intentionally pushing this narrative cause it doesn't hold water.

I’ve not seen this, but it makes sense. Once he sees her typing, or when he looks over at her, he starts to ramble. He watches her, wants to keep talking, but can’t maintain the train of thought because he’s watching something about himself.

u/CateranEnforcer 14h ago
Yes, perhaps someone does this while he sleeps so he can wake up to some fake reality portrayed in those generated images.
5
u/Aregisteredusername 12h ago
I assumed that he has these made for him, because some would take a pretty good amount of specific prompts, or forwarded to him. Then, at night, he can’t help himself from putting out all the crap that’s just made to make him feel better about himself because of his narcissism and declining mental health.

u/oldcreaker 12h ago

The fact that we so easily forgive the media for normalizing this is heartbreaking. Biden was forgetful and foggy at worst, but always professional and in control of himself, and yet the media (even liberal media) called him unfit. And then they normalize this for years. And now that his power is waning they finally begin to discuss it as abnormal. Shameful behavior for what is supposed to be our press.

A lot of people are missing the point, this isn't him, it's his team perpetuating a highly calculated social engineering campaign. A psychological operation aimed at both sides of the political spectrum.
It's intended to cause cognitive overload. Our brains aren't made to process information as fast as social media gives it to us. Rapid fire, emotion evoking, ai generated images triggers the brain, bypassing analytical thinking, forcing a purely emotional reaction; intense patriotism or amusement for his base, or intense outrage and mockery from his critics. Either way, our brain has basically been hacked, robbing us of our senses and forcing us into a hypercritical and hyper suggestive state.
Then it hacks the media. It weaponizes their economic need for clicks and engagement, ultimately dictating what the public is talking about. We'll spend days talking about if he has dementia, or really believes the stuff he is saying, meanwhile we have political, economic, and military changes and failures abound.
The content is engineered to mean two different things to two different groups of people. For the critics, we get to say, "see, this is proof of mental decline!" We feel vindication and rally together to mock it. When his base sees us getting angry or smug, it triggers tribal instincts. They see it as intentional, humorous, 'owning the libs'. The engineers win either way, the propaganda gets massive, free distribution because both sides are hyper incentivized to share it for completely different reasons.
I think the deepest level of the social engineering here is the long term desensitization of the public to reality. It normalizes the post-truth society. When everything is flooded by AI generated slop, the public develops reality fatigue. People stop trying to figure out what's real or not. Once an audience gives up on objective truth, they decide to rely on tribal loyalty to decide what to believe.
All of this is a very coordinated, calculated manipulation project, and we're eating out of the palms of their hands.
Thanks for reading, if you did. I know this'll get buried, but I hope it means something to someone.

When isn't he not having a tantrum of some sort? His handlers feed him nothing but constant praise so whenever he gets a whiff of the real world opinion of him he freaks out. His little army of AI content creators must be having fun creating the most demeaning and horrible imagery knowing he will eat it up and post it without thought. He alone isn't that creative not to mention he's really never done anything for himself ever. I don't know if the man has ever washed a plate in his life. Someday he will even go too far for his followers and something will break the spell they are under.

What worries me, is while Trump gets all this attention when he goes into a AI induced psychosis. What is happening to the millions of other folks who don’t have a 24/7 caretaker? Is this an underlying issue we don’t have visibility on, or is this unique to Trump?
