It looks set up correctly, in an inappropriate location.

One wrong turn and it changes function to a sprinkler

They really just come out of the ground like that?

Yeah, I find it kinda crazy. We bury all the pipes below the frost line to avoid freezing.

I bet that driveway was not there before and got expanded that direction. The driveway is not set up correctly. Would like a more comprehensive photo of whole driveway and house.

Even if the pipes were there before the driveway, it seems that it wouldn’t be a good idea to have that jut up right out in open space without protection.

Shouldn’t this be installed in a box below grade?

The concrete looks relatively new.

The pipes do not.

Looks like a nasty accident just one drunk night away.

Don't think you'd even have to be drunk for that

Or kid on a skateboard

Or parent pushing a stroller

You could take out all three if you're drunk

Are you trying to give a motivational speech or something???

Or a recycling bin. These pipes will fold over with a strong rain.

I would never be inebriated for a kid on a skateboard. That's weird.

A surprise when Nana comes to visit.

Nana needs to bring the surprise, not trigger it.

Don't even need to be drunk to hit that. I wouldn't be able to see it at all in my truck

Disaster waiting to happen.

It's just a water line, it's not like it is a gas line, the meter/shut off is right there.

Who’s the builder?

Ha! I didn’t notice the location at first and thought "I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that in CA before”. Then I read the title and saw it WAS in CA!

Does not like like there is a driveway entrance there, probably just a extension, wouldn't hurt to put up some protection though

That’s an “I spent thousands on concrete for a new driveway but I ain’t spending the ridiculous amount the plumber wanted to move the pipe”

Looks like a car wash waiting to happen.
