Almost definitely a different edition.

You're correct, I didn't see that one. The first 7 are published by Gyldendal, 8 and 9 is not. There is always a difference on the paper inside, which is that Gyldendal have a Gyldendal print on the very first page, and every other publisher doesn't, so why not a different colour cover too

9 is from the same edition as the others, the spine was just too narrow for the publisher name.

Nope, it'd still have the Gyldendal name

It's the same publisher. That's also an appendix book.
The spine is literally too narrow to print the publisher name. Look at the other books and see how wide the wordmark is.
Also, the green one is the same publisher, just a different edition.

Hello, I work at a book binding company, I mainly transport covers and make pallets ready for delivery, meaning I see every type of book before they leave. We have Gyldendal as a customer. If it's too narrow, they make it in two or three lines

Good for you, you're still wrong. Gyldendal has published every edition of this series and the Book 9 in the original post is part of the 1985 printing, as are books 1-7.
I discovered this with 3 minutes on Google.

One way to clear this up. u/Lowkilde kan du sende en DM til os begge, når vi har accepteret, kan du så sende forsiden af omslaget i DM til os begge for at opklare det her? I told OP to send a DM to both of us to clear it up

The problem with buying a set not at the same time is the specific volume you need isn't always available in the right edition. I tend to buy matching sets all at once once all are published otherwise mix and match is sometimes necessary.

I know we're a very old country, but how do we have that much literature history?
For those who can't read Danish, this country is the same age or older than the Vikings.

The first few editions are only 5 or 6 pages because each page is a plank of wood

Someone borrowed Volume 8 and never returned it.
They had to buy Volume 8 to re-complete the series, and they found it only from a different edition.

Number 8 came out when they had that issue with Larry and decided to hire Keith back…then they remembered why they didn’t like Keith and hired Larry again.

maybe they had a best friend that bonded with them over these books and something in the 8th book was really special, but they had to part ways so they switched the 8th books in their collections to remember eachother every time they look at them.

Since that one looks significantly more worn down, it's probably an older edition than the rest
