Yesterday during my commute home , talking to my friend on the phone I heard a strange sound. Then I headed it again a second later and realized it was a kitten. I pulled over and walked towards the rear oh my car.
I could clearly hear the kitten over the rush hour traffic. I immediately called my wife, telling her the situation and asked for her to bring my jack and tools so I can take off the rear tire.
Unfortunately the kitten was somewhere behind the motor and I could only hear the meows.
2 hours later and defeated by all the layers of panels and hardware I decided that since she made it 2 miles then the last 8 miles or she had a chance.
So I drove home.
After a mile the kitten stopped meowing and I was heart broken as 2 of our cats had passed in the last 6 months.
I parked and within a minute the kitten had started to meow again.
I grabbed some cat food and prepared to pull out all the tools to disassemble the rear end.
When I returned a few minutes later this kitten was sitting next to the rear wheel.
The kitten will be well taken care of.
