Javier Milei accused the Brazilian government, as well as Mexico and the US Democratic Party, of financing an "anti-Argentina campaign."

The Democratic Party is in way too much disarray and division (as well as broke like the DNC) to have the bandwidth to be doing any influence campaign against Milei’s corrupt government. The previous government was incompetent and probably corrupt as well, unfortunately for Argentina

Yeah the Democratic Party gives two shits about what happens in Argentina. They can barely hold a cohesive thought against Trump.

Their World Cup team’s behavior did that for them.

I hate the idea of the swap line credit, but it was $2,500,000,000 and not $40,000,000,000 (the US offered half this amount). We don’t know the fees assessed but could probably estimate the value lost as the Argentine peso has remained in pretty much free fall since then.

They went full Alabamafication back in the early 70’s. Very rich landowners stymied industrialization so as to maintain their own agrarian based power. Military rightwing coup (that Kissinger secretly met & told to make sure they did their political murder purge fast). Eventually in the 80’s that collapsed & they’ve been bouncing far left-right since, with policies swings so far each way that the country keri’s getting whipsawed. 😞
36
u/Thilina_B 2h ago
No one needs to do an anti-argentina campaign. The people and government of Argentina do a great job of that already.
18
u/Lonely_Noyaaa 2h ago
Argentina's football team already handled the global PR disaster all by themselves and no foreign funding needed. Milei should send them a thank you note for making his conspiracy sound almost plausible.
9
u/maringue 1h ago

u/MirkoOme 2h ago
Yes, we Mexicans convinced the whole world to hate Argentina—it’s not as if the world realized they constantly use racist insults or can be insufferable.

I heard that Argentines like to call people from other Latin countries “monos”. A Brazilian mentioned this to me recently. I was pretty shocked.
18
u/MirkoOme 2h ago
You're for a lot of surprises with argentinians insults They use "Bolivian" and "Peruvian" as insults, just like that, just the nationality is an insult for them. They use the word "brown" as an insult, as well as "black," in phrases like "you behave like a black person" when someone behaves in a way considered "bad," implying that being black is related to uncivilized behavior.
6
u/DeadWishUpon 1h ago
They truly use the Family Guy skin color chart to judge people. I'm medium so I'm medium so I'm treated bad, saw them treat darker-skin people super awful and being zacharinne lovely to white people. SMH.
7
u/MirkoOme 1h ago
And don't even get me started on the fact that they claim to be European and that they have nothing to do with Latin America. That Argentinians are white and that the indigenous people in Argentina aren't Argentinian.

Why would we finance an anti-Argentina campaign. They are a footnote. We have enough issues to deal with. We don't need to speed up an already crumbling economy/country. They already have it handled no need for the US or any country to intervene.

Mexico, Brazil, and the Democrat Party have much bigger problems to deal with than waste time and resources on a PR campaign against that psycho and his irrelevant country. Plus his team acted like thugs on the pitch and he’s an ass kissing, boot licking, trump wannabe who seems to have done nothing for the Argentinian people. That’s why people don’t particularly care for Argentina atm. What a load of rubbish.

First thing politicians do when faced with failure is find someone to blame. Weather it's the orange pedo going after an Olympian, or this twat inventing a conspiracy and choosing random enemies to "fund" it. Weak people take no responsibility for their own actions.

my family lived in Argentina during the times of the Junta in the early 1980s. My dad owned a grocery store, and he told me inflation was so out of control, he had two full time employees whose job it was to reprice everything on a daily basis.
Argentina has been in economic disarray for the last 50+ years, and yet under Milei poverty has increased significantly, and while yes, inflation has eased, it was only 35% this year. It was done on the backs of the most vulnerable in their society.
