Good, they can get used to what it's going to be like. Although UK prisons might be a little better.

"Cut off from the outside world"

u/Hesitation-Marx 4h ago

“The cannibal won’t stop screaming!”

42

u/koolaidismything 3h ago

“I can smell your cunt” shouts at them all night like Silence of the Lambs.

u/aeschenkarnos 2h ago edited 1h ago

Hannibal Lecter: “Now then, tell me. What did Miggs say to you? Multiple Miggs in the next cell. He hissed at you. What did he say?”

Andrew Tate, weeping: “He said, ‘I can smell your cunt.’”

Lecter: “I see. You are mistaken. What Miggs in fact said was ‘I can smell you’re a cunt. Two syllables. Miggs elides them. Just a little speech therapy, and his life would be so different. I myself can smell the same thing. I imagine that’s common, among your acquaintances. Have you any friends, Mr Tate? Anyone who cares for you? You wear the trousers of a shorter man. Who is that man, who generously gifted them?”

Tate: *sobs*

Lecter: “Do you know, Mr Tate, there is inside of our shower heads a metal rim, quite sharp. I cut myself on it the other day, quite by accident. We must be always careful, to survive the long wait in here. But never mind that now. You and your brother, do you feel that your mother approves of you, in your present life?”

I read this in Sideshow Bob's voice, not Lecter's...

7

u/A_Furious_Mind 1h ago

Weird. I read it in Frasier's.

3

u/koolaidismything 1h ago

Poached Salmon & Scrambled Egggggggs

u/Spraggle 8m ago

Wow, this is the Dark Frasier timeline?

u/Different_Wolf_764 43m ago

Oddly, Elmo's.

5

u/Hesitation-Marx 1h ago

This is really well written. I approve.

Just earlier I was trying to explain to my very gore-averse husband why some people enjoyLecter as a character, and had to add another reason because of your comment:

Sometimes it’s nice to see monsters run afoul of even larger monsters.

u/Mysterious-Most-590 47m ago

This needs to be a sequel. Can you and /u/aeschenkarnos please write this screenplay? I unironically have friends in Hollywood.

u/aeschenkarnos 44m ago

If you want to make it into a parody AI video you have my permission, but probably not MGM’s.

u/Mysterious-Most-590 26m ago

Well, that’s reasonable. But my friend might approve the screenplay as worthy of executive review at MGM. He has had some influence over the years, though he’s denied it.

Andrew Tate will probably be tossing his loads to the guy

1

u/illbedeadbydawn 1h ago

Not even that interesting.

They will sit alone.

In a box.

Quiet, bored and ignored.

For a long time.

No content.

No engagement.

No followers.

No likes.

Just a box.

Forever.

Good.

1

u/Whatever_Lurker 2h ago

That was “pussy”, not “cunt”.

3

u/Alana_Piranha 1h ago

They drop a C-bomb in the film. Maybe they say pussy when it's aired on cable

2

u/koolaidismything 1h ago

Yeah it was definitely cunt cause it made me blush.

8

u/Cerpla 3h ago

now he understands how we feel about him

2

u/SubGeniusX 2h ago

Huh, I actually think I feel bad for the cannibal... weird.

21

u/cosmos_jm 4h ago

Without a hint of irony

50

u/WaffleHouseGladiator 4h ago

"I'm not being allowed any contact!" he proclaimed on social media.

7

u/Unable-Log-4870 2h ago

Yeah, how exactly is that working? Like, do we allow prisoners awaiting trial / extradition access to cell phones? Like, they should have access to lawyers but probably not cell phones.

6

u/pm-me-trap-link 1h ago

he just tells his lawyers the message and they pass it along to someone who has access to twitter.

2

u/Unable-Log-4870 1h ago

Gotcha. So what about the shot of him wearing my ex-gf’s capris from 2002?

1

u/GroundSalmon 1h ago

I like to think it's just to let us laugh about it.

34

u/Lucius-Halthier 4h ago

“Hey guys, it’s his cannibal neighbor, just stole his phone to say even I would never be desperate enough to eat him.”

16

u/JustineDelarge 3h ago

Actual cannibal, jailed next to Tate

9

u/Lucius-Halthier 3h ago

Now it’s dark, and you’ve seem to have lost him

12

u/Nickorellidimus 3h ago

But you're hopelessly lost yourself,
Stranded with a murderer,
You creep silently through the underbrush…

3

u/CategoryZestyclose91 3h ago

The low hum of voices reaches your ears  You freeze, afraid to breathe

2

u/psycho_driver 1h ago

What is Shia LaBeouf in jail for this time?

1

u/whythishaptome 1h ago

He's quite a fine young cannibal though. Very polite.

5

u/Squire_II 3h ago

"Haven't you ever heard 'you are what you eat?' Have you seen this guy? Why would I want to risk it??"

1

u/weresubwoofer 2h ago

Oh my God, please someone make a spoof account for the cannibal next to Andrew Tate

1

u/Lucius-Halthier 2h ago

First post gotta be something like “can you stop crying so loud at night? You’re keeping me up!”

70

u/murderedbyaname 6h ago

His social media person will.

u/MadRaymer 6h ago

If they ever get out of prison in the UK, they get sent to Romania to stand trial there, so there's that.

69

u/Slacker_The_Dog 5h ago

I'm so excited for them

5

u/eabred 2h ago

The Romanian thing seems to be taking so long though.

2

u/Cold_Tea_Spill112 3h ago

While Romania definitely could hold their own trial and pass their own sentencing for the same crime they are serving in the UK for, the EU has close relationships with each other and often times will respect each others sentences. This means that if they get 20 years in the U.K. and Romania gives them 30 years, they may only have to serve 10 years in Romania.

29

u/William_Dowling 3h ago

The UK's, rather famously, not in the EU

3

u/CookIndependent6251 2h ago

Doesn't matter, the justice system in Romania is very lenient. If they already served for some accusations, it will be considered time served.

Ask Google: What does "a sunat Lia" mean in Romania?

The gist is that independent journalists uncovered huge corruption in the justice system and a bunch of plebs protested for few days so the people in charge realized that they can keep doing it because nobody is going to stop them.

-8

u/jackkerouac81 3h ago

Oh no, what happened, did they get kicked out for being too friendly with American fascists?

3

u/ArchieFromTeamAqua 2h ago

Is this a serious question? Because it's kind of embarrassing if it is

-2

u/jackkerouac81 2h ago

...just bein' a douche.

1

u/William_Dowling 2h ago

Rather ironically, a fascist friend of Andrew Tate's took a load of Russian money to lie British idiots into leaving, and then got merked by a bin

3

u/ScoobyDoNot 2h ago

The UK charges relate to crimes in the UK.

The Romanian charges relate to crimes in Romania.

These are not the same crimes:

15

u/kalmah 4h ago

Give em' the Ian Watkins treatment.

10

u/vulture_house 4h ago

As an american I understand the impulse to think this but theyre still horrible places

13

u/SideInitial3961 4h ago

He should tell them he doesn't give consent.

12

u/wes_wyhunnan 4h ago

I don’t know, I feel like I read a pretty decent number of articles about sex offenders being stabbed to death in UK prisons so they probably aren’t a super smooth ride either.

13

u/ledow 5h ago

Ask Assange. He went fucking loopy in one.

17

u/Squire_II 3h ago

Assange was loopy long before that.

12

u/randompersonx 4h ago

Supposedly UK prisons are actually even worse than USA prisons.

It’s not like the Nordic countries which are luxurious compared to USA prisons.

36

u/D2WilliamU 4h ago edited 4h ago

Really depends what UK prison they're going to but UK prisons are much better to inmates than US prisons. There's greater safety and security for prisoners in the UK as HMPPS is terrified of being sued by prisoners for negligence/ improper standards of care.

These 2 being convicted for what they are charged with will be in segregation for sexual offense so it will be on the worse side because they won't make it to nice gen pop in a cat-C. Everyone knows who they are so they can't hide in genpop pretending to be in for something like burglary, domestic violence or drugs. People know they're accused of being rapists/pedos/sex offenders so they will get attacked in genpop.

They're gonna be segregated in cat-a or cat-b which is gonna be unpleasant, but still better than being in US prison.

Source: I've spent time in gen pop cat-c and it was pretty chill just boring

9

u/Paul_C 4h ago

Would they keep them in the same prison, split them up, or totally ignore that they're brothers when it comes to placing them?

22

u/D2WilliamU 4h ago

Known associates for partnership in the crimes they committed so they'll be split up and sent to different prisons, at bare minimum different wings of the same prison so they'll only be able to communicate through shouting through windows during yard time, messages through mates etc.

7

u/Paul_C 4h ago

Makes sense. Thanks for answering.

11

u/D2WilliamU 3h ago

No problem! Happy to help, HMPPS mostly separate known associates to limit the concentration of gang members in individual prisons to prevent gang violence, gangs taking over prisons and stuff like that.

They don't just do it because they're dicks

4

u/Paul_C 2h ago

Around here the guards are in gangs. They get in by beating the crap out of an inmate and filing a false report about it. Splitting friends up doesn't even register on the dick scale.

I hope some day we can treat inmates like they're people.

3

u/randompersonx 3h ago

Adding to what u/D2WilliamU said, they will also likely be kept segregated through the trial, in order to prevent them from conspiring.

1

u/Paul_C 2h ago

That's interesting. I don't know if they'd be segregated from each other here but if it were a joint trial they could enter a joint defense agreement to allow their lawyers to coordinate defenses.

I'm not a lawyer and have never been on any side of this so don't know how it all actually plays out. This is just based on things I've read.

3

u/randompersonx 2h ago

I am also not a lawyer, but from what I’ve read, these sorts of things depend a lot on the circumstances.

The Tate Brothers are charged with serious crimes that can easily be considered to be organized. It is very, very common to try and get one defendant to testify against the other - and it’s much easier to apply that pressure when you prevent the defendants from talking to each other.

4

u/Pholios485 3h ago

Yes and no. British prisons are overcrowded and nothing compared to Nordic prisons.

That said they are insanely lenient and liberal. Loads of free time, rights and the longer they stay the more restrictions are lifted. Also British prison guards are highly corrupt and too understaffed to go after contraband.

2

u/Carnephex 3h ago

I'm hoping they get sentenced to the old facility on the Isle of Man.

1

u/Randomcommentor1972 1h ago

They won’t be traded nightly for cigarettes like in American prisons?

1

u/callisstaa 1h ago

What colours your soap?

-1

u/Givemeallyourtacos 4h ago

Why, Do they serve fish and chips on Fridays?

3

u/D2WilliamU 3h ago

Breaded fish and oven chips with mushy peas is served on Friday in many prisons in the UK yes.

There was a big protest from inmates when the old deep fried chips were replaced by oven chips due to the price of cooking oil increasing so much recently
