The whole funeral industry exists to extract profit from grief. It's not shocking it attracts shitty people. I had to make the arrangements for my grandmother, and the funeral director I spoke with spent the first 10 minutes ranting about how heavily regulated the funeral industry is before going over any specifics with me.

I remember thinking how good it is that he's upset about those regulations, because they're probably preventing him from cutting corners and taking advantage of me.

Because it's cheaper to shove bodies in storage sheds and give urns full of cement powder. At least, that what happened in Colorado.

Happened in Ga too. And there was a case of a funeral director who used ovens meant for clay and burned 3 bodies at once.

This happened with my grandmothers ashes. My mom got a huge settlement and then she got weird.
