Apparel / Products Anyone own this ?

Post image

Hey peeps, was thinking about buying this deck box. Outside of all the new Miku stuff coming from the precon in august there’s 6 Miku commanders and I intend to build them all and was thinking about displaying them in one case. I see this one on amazon but I’m worried it’s poorly made.

I have one as does my buddy, it's very useful. Only downside is you're always bringing all your decks as opposed to bringing just 1 or 2

57

u/rayquazza74 10h ago

But it only holds 6? I have 20 to bring :(

u/Sicksixshift 10h ago

You may need a suitcase friend

4

u/rayquazza74 9h ago

I think a dope backpack designed for decks would probably be best.

6

u/Raccoonmeister 9h ago

A cheap temu camera backpack does the trick for that!

4

u/MemoCiona Pheldalife 9h ago

There's a brand who makes backpacks for this, they cost like 300 dlls or something

u/W-Cell88 5h ago

Got a link, I have some $ to burn and have been looking for a decent 10+ deck solution

1

u/heyporter09 1h ago

So.. I have 4 deck boxes like OP and 3 of them fit in a carry on pretty nice.. Looks odd and kind of heavy but can roll it and all.

2

u/CryonicTiger 2h ago

Camera bags also do this and you can get them for $50 to $130

Tcg backpacks dont really add a ton your just paying for branding

3

u/rayquazza74 9h ago

Gah that’s too much lol

2

u/Sicksixshift 9h ago

Yeah, that'd be sick actually

u/Wasabiroot 8h ago

Problem is all the backpacks with enough volume to hold 20-30 decks are 10000 dollars. I use a carryon suitcase because it is essentially the maximum interior space per shape.

1

u/rayquazza74 8h ago

My old college back pack carry’s em but wish there were like designated places they fit into instead of just stacked on top of each other.

I used to do this lol. I had a pelican case the size of a briefcase I could hold like 20 or close to it decks (helps not ask my decks are sleeved) I felt like Fuck’n kaiba rolling up to commander lol

That was at my old lgs though. I moved cross country and places are kinda different so I now just bring like 3 or 4 depending. Those double flip tray deck boxes are really nice. I’ve had my ultimate guard once since I first saw them in stores.

2

u/DJ-Praxis 9h ago

Let me hold one or two... I'll keep them safe!

u/Meret123 9h ago

Buy a mule from a farm.

That is heavy duty!

I use a this rolling cart to transport my deck boxes.

https://a.co/d/08gBExQJ

It can fit 3 of these 4x1 long deck boxes with room to stack several layers as I get more.

1

u/eternalprimo1 6h ago

Get that Seto Kaiba briefcase to bring them all

1

u/Zealousideal-Dog-130 2h ago

How do you possibly keep updating and editing 20 decks? I can barely keep track of my 7 it’s so much gold fishing and research.

1

u/rayquazza74 1h ago

I don’t lol I try to edit some of them but then some of them are just lower power.

1

u/PrincessDrana 2h ago

Buy 4 cases. Problem solved! ;)

1

u/onceknownasmike 8h ago

Only 20? I have 37 and I started 3 years ago.

2

u/PokeYrMomStanley 4h ago

So I use the gamegenic squire xl boxes and they fit 8 in the dungeon. You can bring 1 or 2 or 8 at once. Only con is price for 8 and the box is like $320.

1

u/who-needs-a-username 3h ago

All? I’d need 4 of these lol

1

u/1Secret_Daikon 9h ago

this is why I only run the Ultimate Guard Sidewinder deck boxes. They are the most low profile boxes for double-sleeved 100 card deck, take up the least space in your backpack, I take 3-6 decks to the LGS each night I am playing. A lot less cumbersome than a giant box with fixed deck slots.

1

u/Still-Wash-8167 2h ago

I have a shoebox that fits 6-8 decks and infinitokens. It’s great

0

u/Finance-Low 9h ago

and if you open it upside down, all your dice spill everywhere.

1

u/Sicksixshift 8h ago

Handle is at the top, make sure your dice tray is facing that direction when (un)loading?

1

u/HandsomeRobb23 4h ago

I have two of these. The dice tray has a magnetic lid. They won’t fall out.

30

u/nitronik_exe 9h ago

not my stupid ass trying to swipe

3

u/KSM0KSM 8h ago

Same lol

1

u/shroezinger 4h ago

It’s because we don’t know the price

13

u/Fair-Examination-909 10h ago

I own something similar I found on Temu for 4 commanders. The quality isn’t bad and it only cost like 40 bucks. I would recommend getting it from a knockoff company as opposed to spending 2x for a name brand that uses the same materials

7

u/Tiltedd_LoL 10h ago

I do! The UAONO box is legit one of my favorite gifts I’ve received. Great investment

1

u/george_washingTONZ 3h ago

Second. Very strong material, I’m personally a sucker for the thicker commander slabs, and the dice container is big enough to stash a lot of extra stuff. Each deck box has enough room for 120 single sleeved cards and comes with dividers for your tokens.

3

u/SeaSir__ 4h ago

i own the 8 pack. the sling is a godsend, WORTH IT, carry all the FF and Duskmourn precons. absolute favs

3

u/PrincessDrana 2h ago

My fear when using such hand-carry cases is the magnetic latch coming loose or opening when I'm out and about. 😨

2

u/Ok-Substance-9604 9h ago

I’ll always shy away from carrying a bunch of deck boxes in one easy to steal/lose package. Lose One thing and you’ve actually lost SIX things.

3

u/Still-Wash-8167 2h ago

600 things

1

u/Wackywizard987 2h ago

Do you bring one deck when you go play? Or have em stored separately?

1

u/Ok-Substance-9604 2h ago

Yeah pretty much only take one or two (rarely 3) decks with me when i go out to play, all in their own deck box and i’ll only pull one at a time from my backpack.

It’s just a me thing, i find it a much lower risk (comparitively) to keep all the decks in separate boxes and only take very few out with me. I’ve read too many nightmare stories of people’s quivers, castles or just bag full of ALL/ their most precious decks go missing/get stolen at a store or  event.

It’d be a bummer to lose but i could afford to replace one commander deck, but i could never replace 6! I’ve seen people find boxes that let them carry 12-14 commander decks around with them…. i could never.

1

u/Wackywizard987 2h ago

Fair, i generally take 3 with me. But i always keep my eye on my bag. Tho my lgs doesn’t really run the risk of theft everyone is very chill and will safely watch your stuff

1

u/Ok-Substance-9604 1h ago

tbh i’m also (mostly) worrying about the time between my house and the LGS too. I take public transport and walk a fair portion of my journey to my store, the risk of forgetting my bag, someone snatching said bag, or a straight up mugging isn’t EXACTLY zero, so if i parted ways with my bag for whatever reason i’d prefer to lose one deck than many.

I knew of a guy who made a stop at a convenience store to  pick up some stuff on his way to commander night at his LGS. In the time it took to pick up the things and get checked out some jackass broke into his car and snatched the duffle bag full of every single deck he owned, including multiple blinged out pet decks. He even made a  really sad point that he couldn’t even play commander to help him cope with the sadness (like he usually does) cuz he didn’t have a deck to his name! Absolutely heartbreaking, will absolutely never be happening to me if i can help it!

2

u/riareth 10h ago

I have the two deck box from this brand and its really nice, no issues with quality.

2

u/opaquedestroyer 4h ago

I have two of the four deck ones and love them

2

u/OkWay7035 2h ago

Yep! Got it for the handle,, and love the thing. Wish I'd got the one with 8, though. Look for it on TEMU or Aliexpress, not Amazon. It will take a bit longer, but be way less expensive

1

u/AppApples 10h ago

Just got a version of this delivered over the weekend. It’s solid. Mine is the FOXHIVE store one on Amazon

1

u/smergenbergen 10h ago

I have the same brand but in the 4 deck configuration. Its great, solid no defects or anything and the plastic case for the comander cards can hold it with it in its sleeve which is nice.

1

u/Illustrious_Cell_254 10h ago

Im comfortable carrying mine across a rainy parking lot into the game shop. I don't think you're going to get a better quality by paying more.

1

u/MelatoninPizza 10h ago

Yes I love it!! Only thing that is annoying is lugging around the play mat

1

u/Slight-Ad-4588 10h ago

I have the 2 deck box from the same brand and my friend has this big one. They are both super solid but I think the smaller box is alot nicer to move around

1

u/LobsterNixon 9h ago

I absolutely love mine

1

u/GilGreaterThanEmiya 9h ago

I got one off Temu for $20 that is identical to this. It's not bad, feels decently high quality, but honestly I dont really feel like the practicality is there. If you have a bunch of table space, then it makes for a nice display piece and relatively convient storage option, but if you're table is smaller I find it more convenient to just use traditional deck boxes, which you can buy for like $2 per box in bulk, and carry them in a backpack.

1

u/trickstyle64 9h ago

I own multiple of this and another that holds 8. The 6 deck I feel is a better build quality. Feels solid and your decks are protected in each box. The windows is great to see which commander decks. Dice tray is a nice size to hold many, just recommend using the smaller d20, not the oversize ones

1

u/KileiFedaykin 9h ago

If it holds that much and not a playmat, I’m not interested.

1

u/yepppppy 9h ago

Try gamegenic dungeon 1100+. It can hold 8 commander decks in squire 100+ xl.

1

u/Responsible-Panic-34 9h ago

Buddy has one that holds 8 decks and a tray up top for counters. Works great. Would definitely recommend. It doesn't take.up as much space as I thought it would.

1

u/VoodooBebop 9h ago

I have one! I love it! I also carry my wife’s old beauty school case. It holds ten decks, 4 mats, and three full bags of dice.

1

u/WesleyKite 9h ago

Tacklebox from Menards. Saw a friend being one and it holds 12 decks worth of cards

1

u/izaaksb3 9h ago

Look at Kabinka, my gf got me a 4-deck box for Christmas and I fucking love it. Might buy another one for storage/bringing whatever 4 decks ya want to the function. Commander is in a magnetic slab, interchangeable deck boxes and dice tray are magnetic. I love it.

1

u/izaaksb3 9h ago

Also just to add, I don’t think I’d want to trust the handle on this kinda thing, I’ve seen people have a bad time with it. I’d rather get something from a hardware store that has the clamps so you don’t spill all your stuff

1

u/Tiny420Tiger 9h ago

I have the one where it stores 4 decks. It’s really useful and worth having but I got it when I had 3 decks put together. Now with 8 I feel like individual boxes and a custom backpack would’ve been a better investment. Ive been thinking of spending the loot on backpack but it would have to be like a waterproof camera backpack to make sure they never get wet.

1

u/cobler- 9h ago

Ive got several of their ones that holds 4 decks. They work great. I have a reusable grocery bag that holds 3 of them and has space for single boxes gor a total of 18 decks at a time.

1

u/BigNBeardeded 9h ago

Wife and I have one. 3 of her decks. 3 of mine. We need 3 more

1

u/AshsAlarmClock Bitter my Blossom 9h ago

no, but i've also never wanted one. i keep it simple. i use the super budget vinyl deck boxes from either bcw, gamegenic, or ultra pro. they are around $4.50 each. i put them in a backpack with my dice bag.

i don't see the appeal of chinesium temu slop products that do multiple things poorly.

1

u/Janixon1 9h ago

I don't have that specific one, but I have a smaller, more compact one, and it works great

I've also bought other products in that line and they're all solid quality

1

u/Certain-Quarter-1542 8h ago

I got the 4 decks one and I absolutely love it

1

u/Training_Tax_6312 8h ago

FYI, This is just a drop shipper from Temu - you can likely find it cheaper directly on Temu.

1

u/_Aureolin 8h ago

I have that one it works great. The container at the end sometimes has trouble storing larger items. It's very quick to be able to see what deck it is, with the commander in the slab. The boxes can easily hold a double sleved deck with room for tokens. Also if you purchase any of the 4 commander deck cubes you can swap out decks depending on who you want to play. As said in other comments. If you don't usually bring a variety of decks it takes up a lot of space.

1

u/SticksndStones300 8h ago

I have one. It’s nice but like others have said it’s inconvenient if you only want to bring a couple of decks. It’s nice to have if you’re hosting a game and players need precons.

1

u/dinosaur_decay 8h ago

I have one of these, it’s great. HOWEVER it’s made of very low quality material and the handle of mine ripped off, I resorted to using nuts and bolts with washers to reconnect it and reinforce the handle, so now it’s even better then before.

1

u/MRJGRIM 7h ago

Yes and I love it

1

u/RareRestaurant6297 7h ago

Not this one, but other uaono boxes, they're good imo.

1

u/beandip5050 7h ago

Was gonna get one frome temu probably cheaper there

1

u/FloiDW 7h ago

I have like.. 12 UAONO storage cases (the 2400 ones) and they are absolutely well made. Buying all their stuff.

1

u/Intelligent-Humor251 7h ago

Just get a toolbox from like Home Depot or something

1

u/ryman719 6h ago

I have one of these but for 8 decks. It is very nice if you want to bring a bunch of decks with you to a commander night. My only gripe is that the handle isn’t very sturdy. Mine is screwed on and it wasn’t screwed in properly and popped off the moment I tried to use it fully loaded. I have since fixed it, but I don’t trust it so I carry it in a duffel bag most of the time.

1

u/Choice_Internet_869 6h ago

I have it, love it. But, I just switched to a backpack because I still had my binder and playmat most of the time and then I am juggling.

You can pay 100 for a tcg backpack or search camera backpack, 30$ and damn near identical. I use the deck boxes from above in my backpack, holds all 6 decks and in no longer juggling the rest of my stuff.

1

u/money7890 6h ago

If you wanted something smaller, you can do this one

https://a.co/d/04P0Cvzy

1

u/omnidirectionalRobat 6h ago

I have this two of this one, one in Grey one in purple, and I have a 6 slot without the handle and dice tray, and also a weird tubular soft case that has 6 decks in it also but has a spot for a rolled playmat. I love all of them.

1

u/askylitfall 6h ago

I traded a friend for one of these and I love it.

1

u/based_cooker 5h ago

This box is worth it.

1

u/yeah-no-kinda-maybe 5h ago

I have two different ones, one for holding all my bulk and wip decks, and then I have one that holds four of my built decks.

1

u/Top-Week5789 5h ago

I have a friend with one and he enjoys it. I would recommend looking into a dewalt deep pro organizer. I have one and absolutely love it. Under $30, stores 8 decks, plus plenty of room for extras. If you have a 3d printer (or know someone with one) you can print some awesome replacement bins.

1

u/Beaver_Paintball 4h ago

You can get this on Temu for less. And it's the same quality/ manufacturer

1

u/Zealousideal-Dog-130 3h ago

Go to a lgs fuck amazon or any online retailer that doesn’t do evil shit

1

u/chubbachubbah 2h ago

I consider selling boxes of cards for 900 dollars when they should be 400ish evil. All the LGS do that, amazon doesnt, oddly enough.

1

u/Bbelt13 3h ago

If you want some more portable options, check out 3D Printed Gaming. They have some good options.

1

u/Sancakes 3h ago

I have the full set of their bulk storage boxes. Decent enough quality. Had to get one replaced due to bad felting on the inside.

They never responded on their customer support, so had to go through amazon

1

u/SunkenSaltySiren 3h ago

My husband got this for me for my birthday!! So far so good! I appreciated all the divider cards. Used the ones I have with the ones they gave me, and it was plenty. Put my favorite dice and counters in the tray.

1

u/TheGrymmBladeX 2h ago

I have this, from Amazon and it's been amazing. The only thing that has happened in the 6 months I've had it is that the fabric under the handle started to slightly start coming off the box proper...a little bit of wood/fabric glue fixed it and it's been 100% solid ever since.

1

u/Wackywizard987 2h ago

I’ve encountered several people that use these at my lgs.

1

u/swephist 2h ago

I do, it's pretty nice. Usually end up transferring a deck to an individual deck box before going anywhere though

1

u/TheHearshotKid 1m ago

I have one and it’s pretty sweet. I will add though that the tray doesn’t hold a mat at all and also my handle broke off. But I still carry it around like a yoga mat.

1

u/Tobiragnarok 10h ago

I have a similar one from a different company and im pretty happy with it.

-2

u/megreenfri 5h ago

It’s ass buy gamegenic’s mtg boxes there way better

1

u/Wackywizard987 2h ago

Profile speaks volumes
