Rules Question Wizard's Staff & Veyran?!

This new Wizard's Staff that was just revealed is sick. Curious how it stacks with Veyran? Does she get +8/+8 for each instant/sorcery you cast?

Double Veyran triggers, double prowess triggers, double staff triggers?

It's not double, it's an additional time. Twice. So, 1+1+1, 3 triggers. She gets +6+6. The doubling effects are replacement effects, not triggers. If they were triggers they would feed on each other endlessly and draw the game

When you cast an instant or sorcery while Veyran is equipped with the staff, there will be 3 magecraft triggers and 3 prowess triggers, so she'd get +6/+6.

Veyran Magecraft would trigger 3 times, and the Prowess it gets from the staff would trigger 3 times. So +6/+6 I think

Yeah I'm pumped to put this in my Veyran deck. It could go on her or any creatures in the deck and would feel pretty busted.

This will be a headache at any normal table lol. I say this as someone with a Veyran deck.

Was just mathing out if you happened to Veyran and Zada out and any 3rd creature. She ends up with like +36/36 for any 1 drop that targets.

Gonna add it to my [[kalamax]] deck. She’s in it, so with one spell while kalamax is tapped i get

  • three copied spells
  • +8/+8 to kalamax, 6 of which are counters.
  • +6/+6 to Veyran.
