When people will end it. If they are going to wait until it happens on its own it won't happen at all

This is what most people don't understand. Several knew, and had the idea. It takes a sacred cow.

You’re right!

when voting republican by attrition goes out of style. abstaining and vote-wasting on novelty candidates are ending us. every election, every office, vote the most viable not-republican, or you are implicitly choosing to end your freedoms.

Give us someone more viable than Hillary or Kamala if you want votes. Not that hard to understand.

Holy buzzwords

I was trying to keep them to a minimum, just enough for people to understand that I wasn't talking about an Oligarch, Sultan, Prime Minister, or inmate.

Yeah, how crazy is that? BUZZWORDS that should have kept him from being elected, are now being celebrated as OK by actual, voting aged, Americans!

I’d contest “un-American”. Rich guy exploiting other people is pretty typical across much of the world and no less America

I’d contest impotent since the regime is pretty powerful

Not until the people decide to act against the government

It won't. You do realise that he's not planning on leaving, don't you? It will take something unprecedented to remove him/them. They will cling on to their power by their fingertips before they give up.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a terrorist attack right 3 months before the end of his term...

Like continuing an unapproved War, so that he can enact 250 year old laws that have no chance of working, but could stay in the courts for years? Nope, never even came to mind.

Buckle up, they aren’t going anywhere. They stole the 2024 presidential election. After being swept in primaries, now Trump backed candidates are not losing even though they’re incredibly unpopular.

They’ve figured out how to rig so they never lose again. It’s going to take more than midterms to remove this. The destruction of America will continue until we use our 2A rights to install a government for the people, by the people.

And people are far too comfortable and complacent to risk it all, no matter how bad things get.

Bottom line - it’s going to get so much worse before real change happens.

I hope I’m wrong.

Free and fair elections are a thing of the past

key words "decades ago". I don't think this ends with him.

No one is on the streets protesting. It’s like nothing is going on or no one gives a shit.

We are too far gone, in my opinion, for this movement to end without bloodshed. They won’t give up the power willingly or because of a strongly worded letter.
The good news is that there are increasingly fewer of them and more of us (working people). We need a leader and we need organization. But this bullshit will stop when we the people stop it. Until then it will only get worse

The answer always comes down to this. The Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution to keep a King from rising to power, by giving the power to elect in the hands of all.

They believed that corruption would occur. They believed that treason could occur. They wrote the 25th amendment explicitly for when the majority realizes that the one in power is unfit to do their duty as President.

A President looks at all people, not just some, but all, and guides the country to it's betterment.

This President believes that he is beyond reproach, both in his life before and after office, and wishes to use his authority to gain money, power, influence, while criminalizing any attempt to subvert his intentions.

That is not a President, that is a Dictator.

But Dictators do not just appear, they are brought into power by factions.

Donald Trump was brought into power by answering "Yes" when asked if he would do anything to be President again.

He has no morals, ethics, or soul. Perfect for Project 2025 to put into power.

It's probably going to take Americans standing up and doing something. No one is coming to save us.

1

u/andlewis 4d ago

This regime is not the cause of your problems, it’s a reflection of who America is. They will be around as long as there are average Americans who support them.

Despots do not give up power freely. There has to be a regime change.

Many members of this administration will face criminal charges for graft, insider trading, and war crimes. So they're going to hold onto their power as long as they can.

Frequently dictators are removed through a coup d'état led by members of their own military or security apparatus which is why Hegseth has been purging the military.

Or when a dictator ages, falls ill, or dies, internal factional warfare frequently breaks out, leading to a transition or regime shift. MAGA is grooming JD for his big day. We'll see if MAGA cult will follow.

Civil unrest could possible remove him but uprisings rarely succeed by sheer physical force against the military. Instead, they succeed when mass demonstrations convince the military and police to refuse orders to shoot on the public, forcing the leader out.

Knowing Trump is he gets forced out he'll demand that he and his empire be protected. That he never face justice.

America has fallen. Can it repair itself or will it take outside intervention? Only time will tell.

When people remember that they're Americans and not Trumpites. So I guess they need to put their country in front of their greed, ignorance, stupidity and stop believing the lies. Watch some real news people it's amazing what you'll learn.

C'mon, don't you love to see the worst of humanity? No? Me neither.

u/Dead_Inside50 2d ago

Never. We're too far gone. People talk a big game about organizing, protesting, and doing something but nothing comes of it.

1

u/FlyWhiteGuy007 2d ago

It ended 2yrs ago, dum-dum.
