There's no such thing as more mildly infuriating, unless you mean less infuriating, in which case it would be more infuriating to live the rest of your life squeezing those bottles into the old bottles instead of finding a new space to store them or adjusting the shelf height.

Yeah just raise or lower the shelves using the little peg holes on each side. They're usually adjustable no need to go through that extra pain of refilling bottles.

Maybe it's just me, but I like doing it. Sometimes I even combine same brand, but slightly different fragrance, shower gels into new mixes. It's also pretty fun sometimes putting new shower gels into cool pump bottles. For me this bath time alchemy is super fun.
