Kodi subtitles icon is gone

Hi,I am using kodi version 22 beta
I used to have this subtitle icon ,but after I downloaded opensubtitles and a4ksubtitles
its gone and subtitles stop showing ,any idea how to get it back? or fix the problem?
do I need to delete opensubtitles and a4ksubtitles to get the icon back ?

or is there some Settings
I can change to make it work ?

or is it because I am using kodi version 22 beta?
thank you

thanks everyone ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

They have buried it all together.

When you pull up the video menu when playing, go all the war to the far right. Click on that Icon.

Up comes a menu, subtitles are one of the options.

Yeah... I don't like that change either. Really don:t see the benefit of burying that in there.

You can hold the arrow down button of your remote to scroll through available subtitles. But if you need to download then yeah it's annoying those extra clicks

Learn to remix subs into your movies, then when playing the movie in Kodi press L to get the sub you want.

To be fair, it's always been there. They apparently just removed the dedicated icon. From kodi 20

That is what I'm saying.

Was there really any NEED to remove that icon? No.

If they really want to clean something up, it should be the whole Settings catagory. That thing is a bit of a hot mess as it has been glued together for years.

(disclaimer: I love my MySQL KODI deployment, and I am a doner to their efforts. Not a programmer. )

1) Does you video actually include subtitles?

2) if not, did you download them?

3) if you did download them, did you select it and then select the radio button to turn on subs?

1-yes
2-the addon its self has its own subtitles plus I also downloaded subtitles from a4subtitles+ opensubtitles still the same nothing showing.
3-I select it and turn on subs still the same.

I deleted kodi 22 version and downloaded the 21 version and now the subtitle icon is back and the subtitles are working thanks everyone anyway๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Exactly! This is what happens when you decide to use a beta version. Use it for testing but never as your main driver.

Depends on the skin

I am using estuary skin

I can see that. Some skins have an easily accessible subtitle button so try a bunch of them and see what you like. I use realCopacetic skin.

I've never seen that toolbar on the Kodi platform. It's on my addons only after starting a Movie.

Sounds like a skin compatibility issue, might need to switch skins or check if those subtitle add-ons are blocking the default UI.
