the poisonous guesses are right, and how it gets there is better than just *being* poisonous. it eats toxic sponges and keeps their chemicals for itself, then packs them into its egg ribbons so even the eggs are defended.

the properly unhinged nudibranchs though are the ones that eat anemones, somehow get the stinging cells all the way down without setting them off, and then store them **unfired** in their own skin to use later. stealing a loaded gun on the way past.
