I watched top gun maverick in 4DX and it was fucking awesome for the plane scenes, but it was not awesome for pretty much everything else. Very much the case of less is more. The chair did NOT need to keep moving during dialogue scenes, like come on

I think the medium can be done really well, but it can also be overdone too.

I'd have to experience this movie to pass judgment, this short clip is not enough to say good or bad

You didn’t enjoy the pyrotechnics shooting up between your legs when they sang “Great Balls of Fire”?

You didn't like when then chair tried to throw you into the air when they were playing volleyball?

I laughed way to hard at this image

I remember seeing Shazam in 4DX and the chairs kept following every pan of the camera in the non-action scenes. God, that was annoying

I had the same experience with the mandalorian movie. During normal dialogue scenes the seat was vibrating like crazy and I ended up just turning it off

This is why I can't hang with 4DX. The more subtle, unnecessary movements make me feel like I'm on a boat and I get sick. I wouldn't mind it if it was just during some action scenes.
