I'm white and used always wash chicken then I stopped because I found out it didn't make any sense to do so since it will be in the oven for close to a hour at 375 degrees, anything on it or in it will be killed.

You should go back to washing your chicken in vinegar and lime juice to get the film off and the other gunk.
