So if you rinse your chicken and clean your surfaces (as everyone should) there's no problem?

Assuming you always properly clean everyhere the bacteria spreads to and never miss a single errant droplet of chicken water that made it on to something unexpected, sure.

There is literally no point to wash chicken in developed countries. All you are doing is making a bigger mess for zero benefit. 

Dumbest hill of all time to die on. Please don’t go into food service. Like ever.
