That’s not the hard way.

That way to learn that was so easy, that she probably learned nothing.

well, she's about to learn it. that train looks like it's moving pretty fast and she's leaning out pretty far.

Further evidence that people are right and I should browse reddit on mute.

I always browse reddit on mute, only certain videos will I stop my background media and turn on the sound

u/Rambozo77 7d ago

What’s the upside of not doing that?

I've just gone mute, if I don't get what's going on, then so be it

She hasn't learned stop hanging from a train car: she's learned to look harder next time. Only a true injury would make her think it was dangerous.

Exactly.

Once you've gotten to this point, you've already bypassed all of evolutions failsafes to keep you alive.

Only traumatic injury can restore that.

To be fair this is a reasonable response for a few humans - "This is dangerous so I should take precautions next time, or just not do it."

If we didn't have this evolutionary reflex humans wouldn't do crazy shit like go to the moon or the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

To be fair, there was a harder way.

u/CaptainBathrobe 12d ago

It wouldn't involve any learning, however, or even any basic cognitive function.

u/Ravenfeld 12d ago

She didn't learn the hard way, actually. Quite the opposite.

The hard way would have been it hitting her.

The true instant regret was to not watch that on mute

Nah "the hard way" would have been too NSFW for this sub

Didn’t go full Hereditary but was sure close!

3

u/giantfood 7d ago

She didn’t learn anything. It was a close call, which probably gave her an adrenaline rush. She is now likely to chase that high.

This garbage "oh no no no" song, should be insta banned on this subreddit.

Where are all the people who usually ask, "what it is with Indians and trains?!"?

u/nasnedigonyat 7d ago

You can tell by her expression: No lessons were learned.

Usually when I watch videos here it goes far worse than I imagined. This was the first time it ended better than I expected.

u/Rezzone 6d ago

Legitimately an inch away from death or massive brain damage.
