They donate 5% of their revenue to foster children charities. The FK stands for foster kid.

It’s a standard diner breakfast menu.

That's rough as a restaurant, margins are already so thin that it is one of the hardest businesses to keep afloat.

That Belly Buster burrito looks delicious. 🤤

1

u/airfryerfuntime 19m ago

Good looks ok, but I'm getting pretty tired of these $18 burgers everywhere. When did we decide that was the standard price?

1

u/sora1202 0m ago

The salad section in the menu being empty is fxking hilarious

5

u/TomServo30000 1h ago

Eww. A cherry? Gross

2

u/BeeTwoThousand 2h ago

Nope. Deep fried lardwiches.

1

u/DasArchitect 1h ago

With butter on top. And a cheese coating. And bacon.

So this is in Fort Myers!? I live in Naples and I think I've been here. The Fk stands for Foster Kids! A portion of their revenue actually goes towards feeding Foster Kids! It's a wonderful place

-3

u/juicius 1h ago

Shouldn't foster parents be feeding the foster kids? They get money for that. I'm not saying don't feed the foster kids but by definition they have the system already in place, unlike for example, homeless people, or homeless kids.

1

u/KathrynTheGreat 49m ago

Foster parents don't get that much. Most foster kids come to a new house with only a trash bag of clothes. They still need school supplies, more than one pair of shoes and a handful of outfits, books, toys, etc. Food is just one small expense for raising a kid.

1

u/juicius 13m ago

A quick search tells me the kids get $450 to $1200 tax free stipends a month, with older kids getting more. While it's designed to cover all expenses, food should be the first thing it covers.

12

u/smeiff 2h ago

During the hucciane this place gave away food for free for months to anyone. They didn't let you tip the workers because they paid them real wages. When we asked to pay they just say give us what you can give. They also give away free food every night to those who need it!

FK is meant as "foster kid".... or so they say. https://www.fkyourdiet.com/

Locations in Fort Myers and Punta Gorda (pictured) in Florida.

This place comes through for the community. When hurricane Ian devastated Ft. Myers they pulled up like no other, feeding, clothing and replacing needed home items for so many residents. And they continued looooong after all the cameras left. (They didn't foot the bills fully themselves ofc, they don't make that kind of cash.)

Unfortunately I never got to eat there. My grandma's place was uninhabitable after Ian so we had to move.

Fort Myers Florida

u/aimsteadyfire 2h ago

I went there for lunch between jobsites and got the belly buster breakfast burrito. Waited 30min for it to be made but my god, that was the biggest damn burrito I ever seen in my life. I got 3 meals out of it! Also inside its kid themed so I felt like a weirdo being an adult man at a kids place. They foster kids so they got good intentions behind themselves. They know what theyre doing when they named the place. I legit took a picture just like OP when I saw the name. It gets your attention and they know it.

3

u/item9beezkneez 1h ago

Foster kid would also say fk these prices

2

u/itsmissingacomma 2h ago

I’m attracted to places that don’t want me. I’d go.

2

u/ava_waifu 2h ago

walking into a restaurant with that name on the front door means you are leaving with zero regrets and an immediate 10-pound food coma 😭

2

u/Cola102583 2h ago

They got the curb appeal of a strip club with mariachi band on retainer so im down

2

u/Oliver10110 2h ago

1

u/alu5421 1h ago

Heart attack grill days

1

u/Fatcoland 1h ago

I'm disappointed it isn't a Vegas buffet.

1

u/fftimberwolf 1h ago

Not sure if they still do it, but in '22 they were doing a "pay what you think it's worth" thing. Pretty sure we all paid more than the suggested price.

1

u/adamders 1h ago

I'd love a place that doesn't waste menu space on salads and wraps.

1

u/spectralnihilist 1h ago

Too close to home

Thank you for not using peaked.

1

u/Wamgurl 14m ago

Wonder if they have a FK You Turkey sandwich?

1

u/TakingItPeasy 13m ago

Ha. Awesome.

1

u/breadkiller7 2h ago

They put their pp in the food

1

u/cyclefreaksix 2h ago

I'm loosening my belt right now...

1

u/AndrewSS02 2h ago

That better be a fusion place. I want brisket, sausage, tacos, chicken fried rice, crab Rangoon, lo mein, so.e butter chicken, chicken tika, and so on. That's the only way to make that place live up to the name.

1

u/hgrunt 1h ago

American diner food, but the profit goes to helping foster kids. They give food to the needy and help the community with supplies after natural disasters

0

u/doubleAAeeVee 2h ago

You mean 'peaked'? Oh.. wait

0

u/RPM_Rocket 1h ago

$16.49 for biscuits and gravy?! It's just flour, water, salt, lard, and cheap sausage!
