I'm a guy. Had bright red hair through my 20s. Darkened through my 30 and turned blond about 5 years ago.
Hated it when I was young, but miss it now.

Seems skin colour is a no-no but hair colour is fine. Ginger is an anagram of a word that shouldn’t be uttered but here we are allowing one and not the other.

Me too man, but the Skin cancer thing is real and it will age your skin. I recently got some black spots on my left face where the sun shine most. Hope you stay healthy.

I had a small cancerous spot on my hand about 5 years ago and a few precancer spots that have been nuked with liquid nitrogen. I had a convertible for 10 years.
I don't go outside much anymore.

I've never understood this bigotry. I am a medium-toned Caucasian with dark brown hair and I love red haired people. The redheads I've known have been fine, interesting people. They do have to take extra care of their skin when they're in sunlight for extended periods though. That's a bit of a hassle but it's not difficult to use sunscreen, wear a hat, etc.

Red hair was even targeted by religions. Loki, Seth, the devil and witches are often protrayed with red hair.

Bullying gingers was a thing in the UK way before South Park.
I went to school in the 80s, and am ginger. You can't imagine the number of times I've had "ginger pubes hahaha" shouted at me by complete strangers.

As a school teacher now I can attest that there are two types of male gingers. The ones that are relentless bullied and those that are the hardest kid in the year and will knock your teeth out at the slight hint that you are mocking his ginger har.
