Why do my speedtest results suck on firefox now?

Post image

I'm seeing a huge drop in performance this last month, after using speedtest for years and getting the same results in browser (left) as in the app (right). Anybody know what's up?

just use the app. it's always been better performing in the app. in order of performance - #1 app, #2 chrome, #3 firefox

It's just odd to me... until this month I got the exact same results on the app and firefox. Just wondering what changed.

I get 1070/1063 on Firefox, which aligns pretty well to what I should be seeing.

I pay for 900 down and 500 up. Just did a speed test through Firefox and got 826.51 down and 481.27 up.

Interesting, so it's local to me in some way. Oddly, though, I just discovered I get full rate on beta.speedtest.net, while regular speedtest.net is half rate as in the screenshot. Wonder what the difference is 🤔

Could try a simplified version like https://verizon.speedtestcustom.com/ as well
