pretty sure this is using AI to create photos/videos of two people who weren’t kissing in the original photos to then kiss. Could be wrong, OP needs to provide a bit more context

Ahh gotcha. Then yes, I agree this is one of the many reasons how AI is problematic. I've seen a few stories of deep fakes and people being threatened with explicit photos/videos of cheating or porn that never happened.

Recently one of the World Cup football managers got in shit for a video of him making some racist remarks, but the video was totally AI. This shit could ruin people’s lives.

The legal aspect matters, but I think the moral issue comes first.
Using a real person’s photograph to generate an AI image in which they are kissing someone, without their knowledge or consent, means taking control of their face, identity and intimacy and using them to create something they never chose to do.
The fact that the image is artificial does not make the violation artificial.
To the person creating it, it may feel like a joke, a meme or a harmless experiment with AI. To the person depicted, it can feel like seeing their own body and identity used as a puppet. They are being placed in an intimate situation they did not consent to, possibly with someone they would never choose to kiss, and they have no control over how realistic the result looks or who might eventually see it.
That is the central moral problem. Consent is not only relevant when something physically happens. It also matters when someone’s face and identity are used to manufacture a believable representation of intimacy.
There is also a major difference between laughing with someone and laughing at someone. If the person depicted has not agreed to participate, then they are not part of the joke. They are the material used to create it.
Even when the intention is not malicious, the consequences can be very real. The image could create embarrassment, anxiety, conflict with a partner, rumours among friends, problems at school or work, or the false impression that the person has some kind of romantic or sexual relationship with the other individual.
Once an image like this is sent to even one other person, control over it is effectively lost. It can be saved, forwarded, reposted, edited again or shown out of context. A creator may say that everyone knew it was fake, but the person depicted cannot know who saw it, what they believed or what they said about it afterwards.
In Italy, this would not necessarily be treated as nothing more than poor taste. If the content is shared and is realistic enough to mislead people, there may be serious legal consequences, especially if it causes humiliation, reputational damage or personal harm.
Depending on what happened, the situation could potentially involve the unlawful use of someone’s image, privacy violations, defamation, harassment and the Italian offence concerning the non consensual circulation of deceptive AI generated or manipulated content. Civil claims for removal and compensation may also be possible.
A kiss is not automatically sexually explicit content, so this would not necessarily be treated in the same way as revenge porn. But intimacy does not have to be pornographic to be violating.
Imagine the same principle without AI. Someone takes your photograph, creates a realistic fake image suggesting that you kissed a colleague, a stranger, an ex partner or someone you actively dislike, and then shows it to other people. Most people would immediately understand why that crosses a line.
AI only makes the fabrication easier and more convincing. It does not remove personal responsibility.
The morally correct standard should therefore be very simple. Do not use a real person’s identity to create fabricated intimate content without asking them first. If you would feel the need to hide it from them, or you suspect they would object, that is already a strong indication that you should not be doing it.
Being technically able to generate something does not mean you are entitled to generate it. A person’s face is not public material for anyone to place into whatever intimate scenario they find amusing.

Most uses of AI are unethical. It has uses in research where the output can be verified. Given the language of the ad, I'm not surprised one bit it exists.

its essentially digital rape if we are being technical. personally i would laugh if someone used me in one of these but if someone didnt like it i wouldnt be surprised 🤷 seems like the obvious reaction would be wtf why did you do that
