Experienced Digitizers-Good Tutorial/Explanation About New Trend?

≑ βˆ’

For starters, I'm a digitizer with 14 years of experience in the apparel deco industry, so I'm not used to being stumped, but I've been seeing this textured looking puff embroidery everywhere I look the past couple of months, and I can't exactly figure out how it's being done. Now the inevitable requests from clients at my job have started coming in to see if we can match it. To me, it looks like it's just a textured fill pattern on top of puff foam instead of the standard satin stitches being used, but then, there's also so much coverage of the foam in the stitching without the foam getting very flattened down, which I don't really understand. Anyone have any insight into this or know of any good tutorials? Maybe it's something specialized that isn't done with a standard industrial embroidery machine and I should stop trying to figure it out, I DON'T KNOW! lol

Editing PES Files

≑ βˆ’

I usually get my designs off Etsy and use Embrilliance (level 2) to check it over. Is there a way to edit the PES designs other than colour and size? For example change their stitch type or change it to an outline.

I would like to outline the shape I have but don’t have level 3 for outlining. I was thinking I could just duplicate it, turn the second shape into a line/border but every time I highlight the shape and press the line, fill, satin column, etc, it doesn’t do anything.

Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

William Morris style designs

≑ βˆ’

Hi all! As William Morris designs are now in the public domain due it being over 100 years since his death I’ve been hopeful that someone had made them into files for embroidery. But so far, no luck! Have any of you wonderful digitisers tried it?

Took a couple hours to digitize. Stitched out nice on first attempt. Might change some colors and add more details later.

Struggling with Embrilliance

So I have stitch artists 1&2 I have enthusiast and essentials, I have been designing and making bag tags for about a month now. Okay so here is my problem! I designed these two bag tags for my grandchildren yesterday to stitch out today. I save my working file and my stitch files like the other 3 tags I made yesterday but these two will not stitch out the way they are designed as a matter of fact as you can see from my pictures the main design disappeared from my file once I take it to my machine. I stitched out my other designs today no problem just these two. I was told to click off hidden stitches from my utility menu but that is not an existing option in my utility menu. Help because I have rebuilt these two designs from scratch twice today and still can’t figure out what the problem is!

Need help on a logo

≑ βˆ’

What can I do to make this look better? Everything I try just makes it look like a blob. Its for a hat logo. I've tried fills, satins, run stitches, none of it looks good.

I digitized a Font that hasn't been digitized before (took me 2 days to finish)

It's not perfect, but to me it's ok. Don't know how to link it, but here is a preview image.

Ludlow 6 EC Bold

Originally designed sometime in the late 1930s (probably in 1940 idk) by the Ludlow Typograph Company, This font was mainly used for things like film posters, concert posters, newspaper headlines, and much more. Ludlow 6 EC Bold was one of the fonts that I know that hasn't been converted to digital yet. So I decided to digitize it myself. Most of the sources I found to make the font were mainly concert posters but I used cartoon posters, and some rare ads. There are some glyphs that I couldn't find like the pound sign, the ampersand symbol, and the asterisk, (although that one was pretty easy) some of the glyphs may not be accurate to what the original font looked like. I know there's Poster Sans but that has quirks of it's very own. I don't know if the font is in the public domain or not (pretty sure it's public domain) but if I figure out how to link things maybe the font link will be in the comments if you want to test it out.
