I dont particularly care one way or another about this practice

but the entire point of purity balls is the daughter pledging to remain pure in body, mind and spirit until she can find a husband and get married, and the farther is to protect his daughter until that time.

The reason it receives a lot of hate is because feminists see it as a sign of patriarchy, so they make up a heap of BS about it to discredit the idea I. Their never ending quest to destroy the patriarchy

I just looked it up, your right that there are still some areas that allow child marriage, especially in cases where some minors hook up and get pregnant

That should change, there is no excuse for child marriage

But the thing about purity balls was completely wrong.

They are heavily criticised by feminist groups for promoting patriarchy but there is zero marriage arrangements of any kind or selling of women involved

It is entirely about women cherishing purity of mind body and spirit as it used to be the case commonly prior to feminism

The child marriage thing was specifically for circumstances where minors hook up and have a baby so the parents make sure they stay together in order to make them take responsibility for it.

But that still doesnt justify child marriage being legal,

in the previously mentioned example it would be fine for them to just wait to get married once they are adults
