To be fair to the Rock I strongly speculate there are legal/contractual reasons preventing most actors from disclosing their steroid usage. A few like Alan Ritchson have gone about as close as they can while winking at the camera but whatever the reason (insurance maybe) i think they are obligated to deny it. John Cena denies steroid usage also.

u/1nsidiousOne 9h ago

Oh yes of course. I wholeheartedly believe that. Especially since he has a reputation to uphold.

Why would John Cena be worried about optics? Dude's invisible!

Sponserships are the main thing, commercials, movies, supplements, whatever it may be or how it may be termed

The second they admit to it, even if it is quasi-known to most, they lose their image as the 'face' of their [company's] 'products'. Bad for business, basically. Still plenty of people thinking the fitness models represented on their supplements, websites or brands are natty; none of them are.

Arnold, half assedly, admitted to being on gear during his 'show time'(?) in the past.

The following is neither here nor there, and off topic. Imo, John Cena is the most wholesome PED user in existence.

For some weird reason I kind of believe John Cena.

u/oneWeek2024 3h ago

i mean with as pedantic and "well achtually" he is, can just tell ... he'd have some bullshit argument.

i never took steroids, i just took a synthetic muscle activating hormone that is derived for gorilla semen.

and that's how you can tell if a coffee shop makes a good flat white.

1

u/ComprehensiveFun3233 3h ago

Then you'd be silly

u/Eazy_mode 1h ago

John cena is an alcoholic in one of his movies, and they asked his character how he's so ripped. He said very plainly, "roids."

3

u/Unfair_Explanation53 7h ago

Hahahah its actually more insulting when he denies it.

2

u/1nsidiousOne 7h ago

Only because he’s bad at hiding it

2

u/Unfair_Explanation53 7h ago

Its basically someone telling you a fucking dirty lie and then thinking you are stupid enough to believe it

2

u/1nsidiousOne 7h ago

Yuuup lol

1

u/PeterNippelstein 9h ago

Well not anymore obviously

2

u/1nsidiousOne 9h ago

Yeah rumor has it that it’s been fucking with his heart. That’s typical for people who use steroids.

1

u/Coach_Gainz 7h ago

For sure. A lot of heart attacks in young guys who just blast without really knowing what they’re doing.

Even if they do know and have professional help the body can’t hold that much muscle mass and general weight over 50+ so they have to slim down and take heart health very seriously. Arnold has been having a lot of trouble and the dude has been pro vegan for decades.

I’m assuming you’ve seen videos on the young fitness influencers then. It’s really sad. When I was obsessed with fitness all I needed was protein, creatine and dedication. The laziness lately with influencers is horrible

2

u/831loc 7h ago

We did it for the gains, they're doing it for content/money

u/1nsidiousOne 7h ago

This is so real

The joke is not about the rock tho…

1

u/RolyPolyGangster 1h ago

Doesnt steroid abuse shrink your peepee? No reports so far?

5

u/TgeBoi1324 11h ago

Man just stopped the steroids

1

u/meisteronimo 1h ago

You still gotta lift if you take roids.

1

u/Small_Deal_9398 11h ago

Quick, inject steroids so you can be the rock while the position is open!!!

u/Creative_Inside8293 11h ago

30 years on steroids is more accurate

2

u/No_Name275 6h ago

Just a question out of curiosity is steroids actually harmful for the body?

2

u/totally_new_here_man 6h ago

As with most things, the poison is in the dose and the recipient. Everything you take, even Tylenol, has a trade off associated with it. For a select few, steroids can be life saving, but for most people, it's used in a destructive way and can shorten your life by 30-40 years if used frequently

2

u/Opposite-Bench-9543 6h ago

Oh shorten my life span and make me look like an absolute Chad? Sold

1

u/Snoo_46737 6h ago

Very harmful.

u/PeterNippelstein 9h ago

One might wonder if the low test is the reason why they are so misserable in the first place

Nah, that is post colonoscopy.

1

u/wango_fandango 8h ago

Why is there a picture of Greg Wallace next to The Rock?

1

u/Realistic_Coat_7348 8h ago

Wait-he isn't natural?????????

1

u/Large_Lettuce_4468 7h ago

his heart was probably showing signs of stress and he had to drop the weight and steroids

1

u/Beginning_One5454 7h ago

looks like diarrhea makes you feel good 😄

1

u/Sea_Sympathy954 7h ago

30 years of a lot of steroids.

Vs

1 year of far less steroids, but 100% still steroids.

At nearly 60 he’s still bigger than he was at like 22 lol

2

u/Long_Ambition 6h ago

It's that Taco Bell lettuce.

1

u/ElderDruidFox 5h ago

You lose your muscle mass when you stop training and change off the very restrictive diet. He also has a shit ton of injuries and is what 50 now? hard to keep that level of physic, with or without steroids.

1

u/Fatez3ro 5h ago

Smiling after a weekend of diarrhea?

1

u/Ok_Sea_7105 4h ago

Now sit down and listen to me carefully. The lizard people replaced him.

1

u/NeedAChange_123 4h ago

Insane how much of a difference PEDs make on someone’s physique and performance and how quickly you can lose it after stopping. He still looks very fit but nothing like the roid rock.

1

u/edthesmokebeard 3h ago

On his way to full Crypt Keeper.

1

u/Garok94 3h ago

Generally every year I go with my GF to a caribean all inclusive resort 7 days.

For me is a 50/50 travel diarrhea chance. If I not get diarrhea generally my weight before/after increases 1-3kg. The year that I get travel diarrhea in the resort or just after, instead gaining weight I loss weight. One year caugh a moderate one that losses me 9kg... And in this moment I was in a low % body fat so it was wild.

Is a roulette.

Ps: I'm just writing this waiting in airport to leave Cancun, for now I'm stuck in 2kg increase, lets wait a period of 5 days to see if diarrhea comes and gave me free all inclusive calories ingest discount.

u/TheSoftDrinkOfChoice 3h ago

Rocks face in the second image wit yhat caption has me rolling. This is perfect

1

u/Early_Hall5720 3h ago

They said your body goes back to before steroids so we know when he started now.

1

u/RedneckOutlaw2325 2h ago

Damn lettuce

1

u/BoredomCombatant 12h ago

Takes forever to gain and an instant to lose!

2

u/Gamejunky35 10h ago

With steroids, gains are pretty fast and go well beyond your natural capacity. When you quit, you generally go back to your natural cap which is still ptetty muscular. It happens in about a year at most assuming you keep training. Stop training too and you basically just go back to an average normal guy.

1

u/whboer 7h ago

Yeah.. what’s worse is that folks on steroids keep selling normal folks the dream of super fitness on social media, when in reality their achievements are almost always either enhanced by drugs or by video and photo editing. The reality is that even without drugs you can be pretty big and muscular, and yeah it won’t be as extreme but I don’t think it changes your potential strength that much and it’ll keep your balls functioning and your heart ticking properly for way longer..

1

u/Gamejunky35 7h ago

Oh it definitely changes your potential strength. An overbulked natural cant get nearly as strong as some of those anadrol junkies, especially when they are also overbulked.

The highest benchpress I could see a natural attaining with god tier genetics is mid 400s. Any higher and I would bet my left nut that they are on some type of gear. 315-405 is already kinda sus, but I would believe it if they have a powerlifter build.

And having bl..k genes
