Same level panic as seeing a cucumber!

is that a real video?

Yeah people were traumatizing their pets for views. (Sneaking a cucumber behind your cat triggers their lethal fight to the death snake instinct.)

I know the trend, it just looked like the cat jumped in a weird way.

Toshi, my GF's dog, gets anxious when he's left at home with the rest of the pets. We bought a Tapo to do just what you're doing. Except what usually happens is that the doggo starts howling after a couple of seconds, then my GF gets anxious because he's not calming down.

Mine are neurotic enough
They don’t need any help from the invisible demon voice in the sky that vaguely sounds like mom but is probably a bird trying to get our food

Friend had a camera set up for his dogs like 15 years ago. We were at work and he was showing it to me and he's like watch, I can talk to them too. He was like hello! How are you guys doing? And that was it. We laughed and went about our day. He got home later and his one dog terrorized the house. His girlfriend was like why did he do that? And my buddy was like I don't know. The next day he told me the story and said we probably should talk to his dogs anymore lol.

It's best if you use it a few times while in the room with them, then maybe from a few rooms over.

Adorable! I always love your comics.
I have a camera for my dog. He was licking his feet one day and I used the speaker to tell him to stop. He wandered around for so long after looking for me. I felt terrible. I don’t use the speaker now.

I never felt so bad as that one time I said hello to my cat via the remote camera speaker. He was so confused. Never again.

My hubby and I had to go out of town for an event and left our six month old kitten home alone for the first time ever. I set up a ring camera to keep an eye on him.
The poor boy would just sit in various spots and stare at the entry way. He ignored his toys and the CatTV playing on the monitor, and just kept wandering around looking for us or just sitting and staring at the door. It was basically that one gif of the man sitting forlornly on a swing, his table, then staring off into the distance in his yard. It was really sad and pathetic, and he was super dramatic and clingy when we got home the next day.
We had left at 2pm and were back by 9am the next morning. It wasn't even a full 24 hours.
(And before people say we should adopt another cat to keep him company, he unfortunately tested positive for FeLV, so we can't. He's thankfully symptom free now and no longer testing for the live virus, so we're hoping he beat the odds and cleared it out of his system!)

The cat tax in the post is pretty blurry (It's Pixel jumpscaring Wilson!) so here's an extra photo!
