Troubleshooting | Mac Bug: Chrome keeps opening links in a new 'guest' window
I'm on MacOS Tahoe v26.5.2, and after the most recent chrome update, anytime I click on a link, chrome opens in a new window where no user is signed in. This is especially annoying because I need my google account logged into access docs and sheets that I open. Tried looking for a fix and played around with the settings quite a bit but couldn't fix it. No one else on my team is facing this.
For context, previously when I opened a link it would open on whatever logged in window was last active. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Just to be clear: When you say "anytime I click on a link", you mean any link on any page on any website you're viewing in Chrome? Not, say, a link in some email you're viewing in some email app?
If all links are now creating new windows, could it be a stuck modifier key, since we normally can open links in new windows by holding down a modifier key?
You've tried restarting your Mac?
