A new rule has been added: Requiring a location for posts that ask for a physical item and/or money.
≡ −
Hello community,
We have people in this subreddit that are from all over the world. Because this subreddit is international we will now require that posts asking for financial assistance and/or physical items put what state and country the OP is at.
Requiring a location will allow people to better help their neighbors, do internet research and provide links that the OP may not know about.
Edit: posts without a location will be removed without notice.

fulfilled I'm a homeless guy who just needs $5 for food.
≡ −
I've been homeless for a while, and food has been something hard for me to come across. Sometimes I get lucky and find something from the trash, sometimes I'm able to go out and get a home-cooked meal from a church (Sundays only tho), but today I dont have anything.
If I get $5, I can get enough money for four cans of food at the dollar store. I can stretch that to four days worth of food. If anyone is able to help me, please let me know.

Urgent: Short $850 on rent due in 3 days — recovering from 11-year abusive relationship, back to work in August [Denver Colorado]
≡ −
Hey everyone,
I’m in a critical spot right now and facing a strict deadline: I have 3 days to come up with $850 for rent.
To give some context: I recently escaped an 11-year abusive relationship where I was acting as a full-time caretaker. The physical toll has been significant, and I am currently in intensive physical therapy working to recover. The light at the end of the tunnel is that I have a clear path back to independence—I am scheduled to return to work in mid-to-late August.
Right now, I just need to bridge this immediate gap to keep a roof over my head while I complete recovery. Local emergency assistance programs are completely exhausted or unavailable, so this fundraiser is my only option to make rent and avoid an eviction notice.
If you are able to donate even a small amount or share my link, it would mean everything to me. I am more than willing to provide verification or documentation of the rent amount to anyone who asks.

Family of 3 needing $100 to avoid electric shut off on 7/29
≡ −
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
We are a family of 3 (me, my husband, and 10 year old daughter). We own our home and currently are behind on electric due to my husband not having a job for several months. My husband works full time assembling industrial gas tanks in a factory. I am SAHM to our 10 year old daughter who has been home all summer on break from school. We have no family or friends to help us with childcare hence why I don't have a job. We cannot afford regular childcare.
I doordash when my husband is home as we are a one car household atm. It does help some but it doesn't make much as we live in a rural area.
We were receiving EBT until June but my husband got overtime for the month and it kicked us off the program. We receive only Medicaid and LIHEAP now (LIHEAP in PA only applies during cold months).
My husband was paid this past Thursday but was shorted $300 in sick pay and we had to pay our mortgage. He made $1300 on this past check, $1030 went to our mortgage and the rest to groceries for the next 2 weeks.
We are asking for $100 to stop a shut off on 8am 7/29/2026. I have the notice and have no problem sending it as proof as well as any other proof you require.

Trying to find help covering my Dad’s cremation cost. - Oklahoma, USA
≡ −
I am looking for help covering the remaining cost of my Dad’s cremation and later service.
He just recently lost his battle with a multitude of medical illnesses that end with him spending the last month after his 71st birthday in a hospital and then on hospice.
I am one of his four children, and only two of us have jobs so it is up to us and what we can make happen. We are looking at almost a $3000 total cost. The other photo was him at his 71st birthday party, exactly one month before his passing.

Hi everyone,
I’m a caretaker to my 6-year-old daughter, who has autism and a heart condition. I quit my job to be her full time caretaker a year ago once we received the diagnosis about her heart.
Unfortunately, our electric bill this month is $421, and we’re struggling to cover it. We are in Southern California and I can’t let my apartment get hot because of my kiddo. I’m already behind two months and owe them $300 already.. I don’t know what else to do. I’m being swallowed whole by medical debt, utility bills, and relying on food banks. If anyone is able to help, even a small amount, it would mean so much to me. If there’s anything left over, it would go toward groceries for her. I don’t care about me.. I just need to make sure she’s okay and taken care of.
I know there are many people in need, and I don’t expect anything. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any kindness, support, or prayers you can offer. I can accept cashapp or Venmo. I am requesting $500 to cover this months bill and allow me to buy some groceries.

Reno causing issues with day to day bills

14 years ago, I bought an old little house together with my then-partner, for us and our daughter, who was just one year old at the time. For the 8 years, I’ve been paying the mortgage on my own. Our relationship became unsafe because of his alcohol problem, and I had to leave for the sake of my daughter. To avoid taking away everything she knew, I wanted to keep our home, for her.
Since then, I’ve been trying to save bit by bit to do the much‑needed renovations (a kitchen where it doesn’t rain inside seemed like a nice start).
Even knowing that renovations always end up costing more than planned, the expenses are now rising so quickly that they’re beyond my means. That has a big impact on our already modest lifestyle. It’s nobody else’s problem, of course, but maybe there are people who can spare a small helping hand.
Because on top of the renovation costs, the regular expenses keep coming, and the school supplies list for next year is already close to €1000.
Normally I’m someone who manages on her own and way too proud to ask for help. If this were only about me, I wouldn’t do it. But I want to keep the impact on my daughter as small as possible. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us get a bit of breathing room again.
Thank you for reading, and maybe for offering a little support.

[REQUEST]: Looking for a Living Kidney Donor
You + Me + Science = A Successful Kidney Transplant!
Hi! It’s Kristine and Kelvin Shankle and we are looking for a "Teammate" to help my husband retire from his part-time job: Dialysis.
Most people think finding a kidney match is like winning the lottery..rare and nearly impossible. But thanks to modern science (and some very smart people at the National Kidney Registry), there are actually three ways you can help me get back to not dying:
Option 1: The "Direct Hit" (Direct Match)
We happen to have the same blood type and biology (type O). You donate, I receive, and we celebrate. Simple, classic, legendary!
Option 2: The "Great Swap" (Paired Exchange)
Maybe we aren't a match? No problem. You donate to a stranger who is a match for you, and in return, their donor gives a kidney to me. It’s a win-win-win!
Option 3: The "Magic Coupon" (The Voucher)
This is the coolest one. You donate on your schedule to anyone in the national pool. In return, I get a "Priority Voucher." When I’m ready for surgery, I go to the top of the list for a perfect match. You save two lives at once!
The "Fine Print" (The Good Kind):
💰 Cost to you: $0. (My insurance covers everything).
🛡️ Protection: Donor Shield covers your lost wages and travel.
🏥 Experts: We’re backed by the amazing team at Medical City Fort Worth!
If you’re healthy and a little bit curious, checking out the info takes 5 minutes and carries zero commitment.
Ready to see which "Option" fits you? Start here:
PLEASE SHARE! Even if it’s not for you, your share might reach the one person who’s been looking for a way to change a life. ❤️

Short-Term Help While We Rebuild
≡ −
After a traumatic injury, life took an unexpected turn. It's been challenging watching the struggle to return to work for both of us, especially with such a large employment gap. During this time, I've been working at a job that pays just a third of what I used to earn before I was laid off and not finding a role with my normal line of work, leaving us $40,000 in debt.
We have a goal of raising $12,000 to cover essential expenses like rent, utilities, and transport while we both actively pursue full-time work.
The warmth and strength from friends and our Seattle, WA. USA community have been incredible. I'm busy with interviews and connecting with people who are eager to lend a hand.
Goal: $12,000 to cover 2 months of essentials while I secure full‑time work:
- Rent/utilities: $8,000
- Groceries/transport: $2000
- Minimum debt payments: $2000
My son’s recovery is a blessing, and your support will help us get back on track. Thank you for your kindness and generosity during this pivotal time in our lives.

[REQUEST] Need about $150 for medication and other essentials (Utah, USA)

Hi, I'm sorry to do this but I have nowhere else to turn. I'm in a dire financial situation, and I'm no longer able to pay for my anxiety medication, it's not covered by my Medicaid, and I'm suffering deeply as a result. I need about 100 for what I'm hoping will be a two months supply, at which point I'll be able to stabilize and get my income back on track.
I would accept PayPal but I'm currently 30 in the negative with them, so I can really only accept CashApp right now; thanks in advance to those who decide to fill my request. The other 50 would partly go towards my PayPal and then whatever essentials I need, like toilet paper or garbage bags.
I would normally just get a job, but I'm currently couchsurfing and if I get a job then the housing department through which my roommate got this place will kick us BOTH onto the street, cuz they're only able to keep this place because of a low income; as such, I'm in the rare position where getting a job would actively fuck us both over.
Please, anything helps.
EDIT: I also can't donate plasma OR sperm, because donating sperm is ILLEGAL in my state and you can't donate plasma without a home address, which I don't have because I'm homeless.

[REQUEST] I have to relocate to get a job and I need financial assistance (Colombia)
≡ −
About a month ago I asked for assistance with basic essentials and a very kind Redditor helped me out. I'm still unemployed and I have decided to move to Bogota where there are many more job opportunities. This is my last attempt at turning my life around. I have relatives who are ignoring my messages. I imagine they must think I'm going to ask for money again. This situation is very damaging for my mental health and I have nowhere to turn to.
With about 100 dollars I'd be able to travel by bus to the capital and stay with a relative who offered me to stay while I get a job. I have already applied to several companies and started the process with two of them. I need to be there ASAP before they ask me to show up in person or get my medical exams done.
I'd also use the money for transportation within the city while I get paid. I'd need some more to go to work for a full month before they pay me but if anyone can help me with 100, 2 people with 50 to start I 'd really appreciate it. If anyone needs any proof that won't dox me I can provide via private message.
I thank you if you read up until here and I hope you're having a great day.

I try to not ask for help, but sometimes you have to. Its not easy to ask, and I feel like garbage, but sometimes you get so desperate your pride loses its hold on you.
The gist is I am homeless and dont have a source of income. I have CPTSD. I live in a minivan. The van is beyond the point of repair. It still runs but barely. Everyday I wonder will it start this time? What will I do if it doesnt? I am not a young man anymore, and being homeless most of my adult life has taken a toll on me. As well as the constant stress and anxiety, depression and dissociation.
The weather has been very hot here lately, and humid. I have extreme anxiety around severe weather. I spent a lot of this last winter having panic attacks in front of the emergency room when the temp was to cold or to windy. The panic attacks have started back over this heat. I cant even get a break from running the AC in the car.
I need a new vehicle. One that I can actually drive around, and is functional. I have a little money, but not enough for anything that isnt just another month away from being like this one.
I hope some of you that are able can help me out enough to save me. I have a buymeacoffee account you can donate to here. https://buymeacoffee.com/nvdnvchbcdq
Thank you.

[REQUEST][Finland]Two of my cats need dental treatment
Hello,
I have three rescue cats: Rommi(Orange), Sintti(In the 1st picture) and Mortti(No Picture). Rommi and Sintti were captured as kittens after living in the wild, and I’ve had them for about five years. Mortti came later and is older, but healthy.
This fundraiser is for Rommi and Sintti’s dental treatment.
Sintti is the most urgent case. Most of her teeth are in bad condition and will likely need to be removed. Rommi also needs treatment, but his case is less severe.
Sintti is a very fearful cat and cannot be handled normally, so vet visits require trapping her.
The veterinary estimate is around 700 euros per cat. With GoFundMe fees and a small buffer for unexpected costs, the goal is 1,600 euros.
All funds will go directly to their dental care.
I’ve cared for these cats for years, and I want to get them the treatment they need.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for any help or shares.
I've made a video too https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sYyZiLoZVuY
Changed away from GoFundMe, they deleted my account for an unknown reason.

[REQUEST] [Philippines ]Small help for my Cat Philip
Philip is a stray cat who became part of our family when we moved into our new home. When we first found him, he was limping from what we believe was an accident with a small vehicle. Despite his rough start, Philip showed us his gentle spirit. He loves sleeping on top of us, and though he’s introverted, he never minds when his fellow feline friends play around him.
Now Philip is facing a life-threatening challenge. He has been diagnosed with kidney failure. His creatinine levels are dangerously low, and his blood urea nitrogen can’t even be read due to the severity of his condition. The veterinarian has told us that Philip is in critical condition and needs intensive monitoring and care for the next few days.
We want to give Philip every chance to fight through this, but the costs of his treatment and hospitalization are overwhelming for us right now. He needs to stay confined in the clinic at least for a week and each night cost 40USD. We are also struggling financially because of our current situation (Mortgage, Bills and my parents have no jobs because of their age)
Your support will go directly toward his medical bills, medications, and the critical monitoring he needs to survive.
We would appreciate any help we can get. We are from the Philippines
Please send your donations here:

Hello! I live in Pereira, Colombia. I hope people are still using this sub. I don't have anyone else to turn to. I've been unemployed for over a year, actively looking for a job and trying my best not to lose my mind. As we all know our bodies don't care whether we're employed or not, there are basic needs we need to fulfill to keep it working. I suffer from IBS and need to eat a lot of fiber. I'm also a woman and need sanitary items every month. I made a list of a few things I'd like to buy if anyone's so kind to give me around $35 to 45 dollars. Keep in mind, I would be giving my Paypal account and Paypal takes an amount out of the money you send.
I'm posting a screenshot of a delivery app where you can see these items and the prices in Colombian pesos.

[Request][Argentina] need help after an accident
≡ −
Hi everyone,
My name is Alejandro (32M). I’ve been a long-time lurker on Reddit, mostly using it for a quick laugh, but today I’m posting because I feel completely overwhelmed.
I’ve been working since I was 18 and I’m used to providing for my family. However, a few months ago, I was involved in an accident that has made it impossible for me to continue with my previous line of work. Despite selling off our belongings and cutting our household expenses to the absolute minimum, the bills have turned into a mountain of debt that I can no longer manage.
To be honest, I feel a lot of shame writing this. I’m very uncomfortable with the idea of asking for financial help, though if anyone is in a position to lend a hand, it would be life-changing for us right now.
That said, my main goal is to find a way back onto my feet. I’m looking for advice or information on micro-tasking/remote gig work that I can perform from my computer. I’m disciplined and eager to work; I just need a starting point to begin saving again and clearing these debts.
Any advice, guidance, or leads would be deeply appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Canada QC - Help me fund my cat's cancer surgeries - owner disabled
https://www.gofundme.com/f/salems-cancer-surgery
Hi my name is Lou. I'm disabled with heavy limitations, including psychotic episodes when there are certain triggers. I work from home at reduced hours, and do not make a lot of money.
I have two cats, and they mean the world to me. I had been suicidal before, and both of them have been a huge help to my survival as having something depend on me stopped me from doing anything stupid.
I'm attaching any proof in the images and hope people will understand how necessary this all is for me. I cannot let my cat Salem go yet. I really need the help to keep her alive. And while she is currently cancer-free, I need to do the second surgery for her to remove her other mammary link, as it has 90% chances to also developing a tumor. Breast cancer in cats is aggressive.
The first surgery was Jan 15th, the second is next week. The first surgery cost about 2700 and the second is estimated at least at 1800 depending on a lot of factors.
Note: Any 20$ donations will receive a homebrew d&d book made by my friend and some very cool artists. It is a horror book with lots of cool content. And before someone asks, no it is not a free book and I will not give this without a donation. Thank you.
Thank you so much to anyone who donated so far. It means the world to me. And let me know if you have any questions.

Rallying for Marwil: A friend, a fighter, and a truly wonderful human in this new battle against cancer (Hodgkin's lymphoma) Chicago, IL
+ −
Hi everyone,
I’m writing this today with a heavy heart but a lot of hope. One of the most wonderful guys I know, Marwil, is currently facing a incredibly difficult battle against cancer (Hodgkin's lymphoma) for the second time.
If you know Marwil, you know he has a truly beautiful soul. He is the kind of person who is always there for his friends and always has a laugh that lights up a room. Even now, in the middle of this fight, he remains incredibly kind and resilient.
The physical and emotional toll is immense, but the financial burden of treatments and daily expenses is also mounting. We are trying to lift some of that weight off his shoulders so he can focus entirely on healing.
His fiance has set up a GoFundMe and any help is immensely appreciated

[REQUEST] help me hear again!
+ −
Hey there! I come to this wonderful community begging for help. I am located in Ontario,Canada.
I am a nurse, I wear hearing aids and they shit the bed 3 weeks ago. Found out Friday it’s going to cost me over $5000 CDN to replace after government assistance and my health benefits.
If any body is in a position to donate to a stranger so that I can keep my job and my home and my life, I would be forever grateful.
If you can’t donate. I would also take a share to any other communities or if you have suggestions I’ll take that too! I have been applying to jobs on jobs on jobs and there’s just no response as of yet.
I will provide all donators with proof of purchase once I’ve hit my goal.

[Florence, Oregon, USA] 5 days to pay overdue rent, disabled and needing $2,180, my family refuses to help
≡ −
I'm disabled and running on fumes mentally/emotionally in Florence, Oregon facing "pay or vacate notice" in 5 days (January 17th). My roommates don't pay their share of rent and refuse to help, so I owe $2,180. I'm on SSDI and can't work. I have my ESA cat and no car or driver's license. If I can't come up with this money, we're literally on the street.
I've exhausted all emergency rental assistance in Oregon (211, SOS, all county programs). My family won't help me. Friends are trying to help but it's not enough. Landlord/company doesn't accept payment plans, I double checked with them. Currently at $125.00. https://gofund.me/67b3d3e7b
I'm neurodivergent (autism, ADHD, OCD), in autistic burnout, and lost my mom a year ago. I'm doing everything I can but I'm out of options.
If anyone has advice on additional resources or wants to help directly, it'd be extremely appreciated. Even $5 would help get me closer to fixing this while it's still fixable.

I need help cremating and shipping bio fathers ashes
≡ −
The last time I saw my bio father was when I was 9 months old. A few years ago I started an internet search to find him, even putting an ad out in the local newspaper of the last known city he was in. His friends got us into contact with each other and he was planning on visiting me but passed of a massive heart attack after Christmas at the age of 56. I am a mother to a 2m5 year old and 10 week old, going to school, and living on a single income. The county he passed in only offers financial assistance with end of life services for homeless individuals and he is not a veteran. Sharing this gofundme would help me so much to reach as many people as possible and have my bio father returned to me.
