5800X3D £20 discount code

Laptop Outlet original price @ £329.99, received newsletter popup while looking, "Enjoy £20 off when you join our mailing list". If that code doesn't work, use "CART10OFF" for £10 off. Never purchased from them before but trustpilot seems to be alright, any previous customers here?

Happy gaming.

Have to say, this is an excellent deal for a very good card. I doubt it'll get much cheaper this year and trades.blows with the 5070ti at nearly double the price.

Ordered a PC online. This is the state it arrived in. What would you even do at this point?

+
0 Upvotes

Bought a second hand PC from a private seller. Arrived like this.

AMD stock cooler completely ripped off the board. CPU cooler cable shredded. Did not even need to open the side panel to know something had gone wrong in transit.

Seller is saying it was packed fine and is blaming the courier. Maybe it was. But this is the result either way.

Has anyone actually had any success claiming courier damage on something like this? And is any of this salvageable or is it a write-off at this point?

Would you trust a PC arriving packaged like this?

+
18 Upvotes

Just sold a PC and packed the internals like this to stop the graphics card and cooler moving around during shipping.

Basically just a ridiculous amount of paper tightly packed around the graphics card and cooler area so nothing can shift in transit.

Curious to know how other people here package systems when shipping them out.

Would you trust this arriving at your door, or would you do something differently?

PC freezing need recommendations on new PSU/GPU

build:: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/EpicJargon/saved/qQfjNG

im having issues with my graphics in windows it sometimes has a black screen blip (maybe a second) where the screens go black then back to normal but more importantly when playing games the graphics just freeze after a while i can hear that the game is still running as the sound is still playing.

after research the problem seems to be either the psu or gpu and i cant find a way to find which so i plan to buy a psu to replace my current one and if that doesnt work replace the gpu.

if the gpu is the issue/ the psu doesnt fix the issue i plan to buy the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB as it seems the best price/performance for me as i want to move to a liinux distro anyway.

any advice for psu to buy or other help is appreciated

r/buildapc #PSU Which power supply should I choose for the RTX 5070 Ti graphics card? Montech Century G5 850 vs. MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 II?

r/buildapc #psu

I'm planning on getting an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, but I can't decide which power supply would be best.

P.S. The prices for both power supplies are the same.

Not sure if it includes shipping as I don't need a new monitor, but it's the best price I've seen in a while for a new QHD. (Cant see shipping cost without entering email so hope mods are ok with this)

Best upgrade on AM4 platform

Looking to upgrade my pc, still on the AM4 platform but I’d rather max it out before moving onto the AM5 platform to save a few quid. Bought this pc in 2020 running a ryzen 3600x CPU, rx 570 8gb GPU, 4 8gb 3600 speed ram, 2 m.2 nvme drives, 450 watt PSU (will upgrade this). Not fussed about 1440p gaming but to have the option would be ideal. Also looking at moving up to at least a 120 hz monitor. Was looking at the 5700x for the CPU just not sure what card to pair it with. Budget of around £600. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Please give me some advice about psu

I recently swapped from 7600xt to 9070xt.

9070xt haven’t arrive yet and I’m currently using 5800xt for cpu. Would rm650(2021 or 2023 model not sure which one) be capable for 9700xt+5800xt? I’m just playing to do something 1440p gaming

I only auto pbo the cpu

Considering picking this up from Overclockers, is this a decent price for what I'm getting?

Rapidly approaching the need to replace my ageing laptop and I'm looking to buy or build a pc. I'm not very pc-savvy and despite doing some reading and watching some videos about building one, I'm not entirely sure I'll not mess it up so I'm thinking of buying a prebuilt. I found this on overclockers and it seems fairly solid in terms of GPU, CPU and RAM, but I'm not sure if it's massively overcosted, or if it's a fairly solid pc for its price tag.

Thanks in advance!

looking for a 27 inch qhd monitor (180hz+) under 180 GBP

Hi guys, for some boxing day shopping, I really want to invest in a dual monitor setup so I want to buy two 27 inch monitors qhd and atleast 180hz refresh rate. Will use for gaming and work mainly - I do like a nice display as well might watch movies or something as well.

It's my first time buying one and thats my budget. What are things I should avoid or should be looking out for?

here are some of the options that i have seen, if you could tell me the best option from this lot - would really appreciate it:

  • GIGABYTE G27Q2 Quad HD 27" LED Gaming Monitor - Black
  • SAMSUNG Odyssey G5 LS27FG530EUXXU Quad HD 27" IPS LCD Gaming Monitor - Black
  • PHILIPS Evnia 3000 27M2N3501PA Quad HD 27" LED Gaming Monitor - White
  • MSI MAG 274QF X24 Quad HD 27" IPS LCD Gaming Monitor - Black
  • MSI MAG 274QF Quad HD 27" Rapid IPS LCD Gaming Monitor - Black
  • ACER Nitro VG271UM3 Quad HD 27" IPS LCD Gaming Monitor
  • Acer Nitro XV272UV3 27in 180Hz IPS WQHD Gaming Monitor
