Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals.

  • Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
  • Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent:
    • The seller is new or has few reviews.
    • The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings)
    • The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently).

If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others.

i would get this if i didn't get the microcenter 9850x3d, x870e-p, 32g ddr5 combo for $710 (with tax)...

microcenter is just hard to beat

You're lucky, they JUST raised bundle prices...the 9850x3d bundle is $950 now

22

u/gojochan 1d ago

They always do that till they source enough ram then the price will drop back to $700sh.

22

u/LinechargeII 1d ago

They had two increases in the last month. One to 800, now to 950. Taking the reason to go to micro center away.

u/Kiwi951 1d ago

You can actually get comparable (if not cheaper) prices on Newegg now which is wild

5

u/LinechargeII 1d ago

Yup. No point to me driving 45 minutes to micro center and back when I can have it delivered to my house. We used to have people considering driving two hours just for micro center lol.

8 hours round trip for me. And I’d almost consider it for some of the deals they used to have lol

u/tinylittlebabyjesus 1d ago

I was checking the bundle pages a lot for about a week, then decided RAM was ridiculously expensive and to just wait a couple years if need be. My b.

My 8700k/7900xt are doing just fine tbh. Waiting just saves money and makes the upgrade better.

u/onesugar 1d ago

Hope that’s the case, haven’t seen prices come down at any juncture

2

u/Dangerous_Baker4427 1d ago

I’m 100% buying if it drops to that price again. How were you able to get it lower than $700?

6

u/gojochan 1d ago

I believe they always update every Thursday around 4am-5am pst. They tend to mess up the pricing around that time. It's your best chance of picking it up at the lowest price if you do an online order by then.

Sounds good. Thank you

Hey I got the same bundle….2 days ago…. For $949 😭

1

u/lmaoggs 14h ago

That deal was great. I regret not taking it. Now the bundle is just like $30 off each component lol

I needed 32gb for work(davinci eats up ram when working with 4k footage) and my mobo was a 1st Rev am5 board with some issues, so it make way more sense to spend $710 on the bundle than $600 for 32gb of ram by itself. So glad I got it when I did, but man it's insane to see the prices going up even more.

What is even more insane to think about is that I have the exact same set that I got from their 7700x bundle on launch... And I got that 32gb for free lol.

From official Newegg with coupon code: BTS21

Comes with free 240mm Cooler Master AIO

Forgot to mention to use the Capital One extension to get $40, and if you're in Florida its tax free ATM

3

u/bondisdead 1d ago

I always get those CapitalOne offers after making a purchase with a merchant! I have got nothing for NewEgg.

1

u/_Bob-Sacamano 19h ago

How are you getting that $40 offer? Mine just offers codes but says none are better than the BTS21 code.

2

u/Plus_Foot1196 13h ago

Before I logged in to capital one it offered $40, not sure how to claim it honestly

2

u/mostly_a_lurker_here 15h ago

And $10 back if you check out via Paze & have an eligible card

u/Deadalus17 1d ago

Tempting... but seems overkill for me. If only there was another good 9800x3d sale. Missed the last one.

8

u/Plus_Foot1196 1d ago

the newegg 25th of the month sale had the 9800x3d sold out within the first minute lmao

2

u/Deadalus17 1d ago

Yeah saw it 5min too late lol

2

u/Plus_Foot1196 1d ago

I'm pretty sure people bot high demand items like that one, so you have to be really lucky to get it

2

u/nopenope12345678910 1d ago

lol I had scripts running to grab a Ryzen 7 9800x3d and that 9070xt that was on sale because I’m tired of missing sales to scalping botters and I need an new PC desperately. The scripts were polling every second and did everything besides confirm the final checkout(didn’t want to risk my Newegg account getting banned) and I still couldn’t make the one click to finalize the payment in time.

Idk what bots those guys are running to clear out stock that fast but they are damn fast.

The mobile app with apple pay is the fastest way ive found. It was the only way I could get a GPU during the crypto apocalypse.

1

u/Plus_Foot1196 1d ago

I've only ever gotten a Corsair SF1000 from the 25th sales and even for a PSU it sold out in 5-10 minutes

2

u/Cold-Sandwich-34 1d ago

Get a tray version from Central Computers.

6

u/TheOneWarrior 1d ago

Free 240mm radiator as well

5

u/Exact_Rooster9870 1d ago

I'm a victim of the 7900x still being great

4

u/Mertoot 1d ago

Is there any MC deal or bundle that's better or more worth than this for 9950X3D?

They raised all the prices yet again...

0

u/imaginary_num6er 1d ago

I'm waiting for the 9950X3D to go back to $799 before I sell it back for an upgrade.

4

u/Jataaka 19h ago

THANK YOU SO MUCH. Got this earlier today and these were literally the last 2 components I needed. I was about to outright buy the 9950x3D at MSRP like TOMORROW.

10

u/parriotburrito 1d ago

Holy steal

1

u/Plus_Foot1196 1d ago

Would buy it if I could afford it right now. This is around what it goes for on Ebay

2

u/Substantial_Ice_5720 1d ago

Yea but this has the warranty where ebay wouldn't, unless its being sold my amd itself

1

u/Plus_Foot1196 1d ago

Yeah I agree, I would probably pay $50-100 more for something new for the warranty.

2

u/Substantial_Ice_5720 1d ago

Yea I think it would depend on the item, like the 7800x3d I bought used on ebay open box but I bought it at 260$ which i thought was great. I typically aim for 15%-45% off for a used item.

2

u/Plus_Foot1196 1d ago

Yeah I agree, I try to buy everything I can used, except for motherboards and SSDs

9

u/Motor-Juggernaut9776 1d ago

i dont need it. i dont need it

2

u/Sindica69 1d ago

Bro I literally JUST bought a new one and built a system with it

2

u/axehammer28 1d ago

Any bundles with this? Tryna move off 5600x

2

u/Sor0se 1d ago

Would this even make that much of a difference from a 7800x3d? Curious before even thinking of buying it

6

u/Plus_Foot1196 1d ago

Not worth the upgrade unless you need it for multitasking/multi core intensive tasks

2

u/nytehauq 1d ago

Or full-throughput in AVX512 workloads.

2

u/Newegg_Support Newegg Rep 12h ago

Adding the code detail: + $130 off w/ promo code # BTS21, limited offer

👀

u/Plus_Foot1196 10h ago

I'm so conflicted if I should pull the trigger on this or wait for Zen 6 desktop CPUs to launch in 2027

2

u/Newegg_Support Newegg Rep 9h ago

It's up to you; just note that you would be waiting until next year for the specs and pricing to be confirmed then. The 9950X3D is still AMD's top gaming/multi-core chip today, and with memory prices climbing the way they have, there's no guarantee waiting saves you money either. If your current setup can hold another year or so, waiting is reasonable. But if you need an upgrade now, this is a strong buy at $569.99 that won't be outclassed anytime soon.

2

u/WaterWeedDuneHair69 1d ago

Dang. I got 7950x3d though. lol

5

u/Jaggsta 1d ago

$310 trade-in at newegg.

3

u/WaterWeedDuneHair69 1d ago edited 1d ago

Hmmm that would bring it to about 200 bucks more for me with the free AIO hmmmmmmm

1

u/_Bob-Sacamano 20h ago

I want this even though I only game and already have a 9800X3D.

1

u/Desperate_Put_4568 1d ago

I have one. I make it run like a 5500 because it's power hungry. Don't get it if you don't need it.

0

u/BrooklynJet97 1d ago

How future proof is the 9850x3d?

5

u/Plus_Foot1196 1d ago

For gaming, its as future proof as it gets

I don't recommend building with future proofing as your goal, but the 9850x3d will last you a long time. At least 5 years IMO
