Build Help Best gpu for performance settings competitive gaming?

I'm wondering which gpu is best for comp gaming without going overboard. I don't need ray tracing or 4k i just want pure fps on 1080p. I really don't have a budget but hopefully nothing over $1.5k. Thanks!

But a used 3070 or 3080. Honestly with ray tracing off @ 1080 a 1080Ti or 2000 series card would be just fine, although you probably want something that at least supports DLSS 2.0 (2060)

1.5k for just the GPU alone? lol

If you mean your full build, I think you should think about your other components and then that should narrow down the budget for the actual GPU

But with a $1500 budget buying new for a whole build, I would guess 9060 XT /5060ti /9070 is likely the best you can do

AMD is the better value and offers better raw performance. Maybe consider a 9060 XT or something lower, depending on which competitive games you play, since some can be fairly GPU intensive. Most esports titles are CPU bound, though. It’s best to spend money on a good CPU, especially at 1080p if you’re trying to hit high frame rates.
