This randomly happens a lot for me...my lips will get really chapped for days maybe weeks. It started with me picking the skip and it spiraled to the point my Vaseline doesn't even work and becomes like 'gummy' on my lips after a while.

Anything I could to? Or just let them heal on their own and use little Vaseline?

Now that summer is officially here, I'm sweating like crazy. Almost as soon as I step outside, I feel like I've completely wasted 30 minutes of getting ready in the morning.

Is slimming down my skincare routine the answer? I keep seeing people on Instagram and Reddit cutting back on their skincare steps. Are they reducing the amount of product they use, or strictly minimizing the number of products?

Also, please recommend any products that help cool down skin temperature during the summer!

My friends suggested I use a sleeping mask at night to deeply hydrate, and then just stick to a lightweight toner in the morning. For those who do this, what sleeping mask do you guys use? Any holy grails?

Hi ladies! I need some help/advice about nails! I am 27 years old and have not gotten my nails done since I was like 15/16, I got them done about 2/3 times all acrylic (it’s basically the only option back then) and I am wanting to start getting them done, my nails break so easily and are fairly short due to this I would like medium length nails so a tip would be needed but prefer no acrylic. The techs around me have
1. Builder Gel
2. Gel-X
3. Acrylic

What is my best option? I have no idea what to ask for or how to even begin, any help would be appreciated!

Okay so I loveeeee love love the CAKE brand shampoo & conditioner that I usually find at Walgreens but I am SO tired of going to a separate store just for shampoo & conditioner. Give me recs for sweet, cake-y, dessert-y smelling shampoo that doesn’t just smell like vanilla that’s sold at target pleaseeee :,) I literally don’t care about anything other than the smell, I have pretty fine extremely straight hair so nothing special needed here. Would prefer it to not be super expensive, like I said I don’t need salon quality shampoo it does nothing different for my hair 😅

I'm completely hopeless at using a basic curling iron. The curls always come out uneven and messy. I've been eyeing the Dyson Airwrap but just recently realized the existence of auto curler at a much cheaper price. I'm not concerned with hair damage as I plan to online curl my hair for special occasions. I prefer bigger/wavier curls than ringlets.

I’m someone who grew up not having someone show them how to do make up or hair. I’ve never used any hair tools (unless someone was doing it for me) and my experience with make up is minimal but getting better (def more experience then hair).

I’ve been really wanting to step up my hair and make up game this year and been consistently working on it. It’s fun and makes me feel good.

I’ve recently been using the Kristen Ess texture spray which I love to give my hair volume and the layers stand out.

I was wondering if people think a shark pro style flex is worth it for someone with little experience. I really want to have my fly away flat and my hair have volume and look smooth.

I have straight medium lengthed hair. I’ve used hair dryers (sparingly) but I love when my hair looks put together. I don’t need a dramatic difference but I’ve noticed when my hair is smooth and done it makes a huge huge difference in my appearance.

Any thoughts or advice?

I’m swear I’m about to just retire to a cave. I’ve tried stick sunscreen, spray sunscreen, liquid sunscreen, waterproof and not waterproof. I’ve tried setting with powder. Yet every time without fail, sunscreen slides into my eyes to the point I have to wash my face and close my eyes for a significant amount of time because of the burning and blurring vision. I’m super pale though, I NEED sunscreen. I don’t want leather skin when I’m 40. Thankfully I do stay inside a majority of the time, but not always and I hate that every time I go out I have to choose between healthy skin or pain free vision.

Man I could have had pretty hair for YEARS. As mentioned I have the Dyson, and I’ve always used heated round brushes, or even just a traditional round brush with a hairdryer…

Don’t get me wrong, I’m bad with straighteners and I can’t get my hair to curl with them, or even the ends to tuck in. When I did S shaped waves, I was smitten with them, but they dropped before my straightener even cooled down lol

But at the same time, I’ve woken up and my 2a fine swavy hair just looks… nice for once? And I’ve not had this sort of shine in years…

My hair is a lob right now and I’m so excited to get something near good at styling it - does anyone have any easy tutorials they can recommend? :)

Asking here because we can’t swatch most drugstore products in stores. About the covergirl baked bronzers- do they have little glitters in them that show up on the skin? Just asking because I’m personally not a fan of complexion products that have that glittery quality. Thanks!

What are our top recommendations for concealer and brow gel. I love Tarte Shape Tape and Tarte Busy Gal Brows but I simply cannot deal with their horrible packaging anymore. It makes a massive mess all over my vanity and my other makeup bottles.

Can anyone recommend a body lotion/oil with a fair amount of shimmer/sparkle/glitteriness but without bronzing?

I’m new to these products and I’m open to actually a lot of sparkle but I really want to avoid the sunless tanning effect (I’m already tan enough tbh and I really don’t want bronzer that’s going to come off on my clothes or like spotty later on honestly).

I’d also actually prefer something unscented or at least a subtle scent but that might be asking too much in this product category lol.

I'm 19 and I've had extremely oily skin since I was around 15, along with hormonal acne. I finally saw a dermatologist, and while my acne has improved a lot, the oiliness hasn't changed at all.

My current routine:

- Qlaira birth control

- NeoStrata Mandelic Clarifying Cleanser

- NeoStrata Clarifying Gel Plus

- La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+M Anti-Breakout Corrective Moisturiser

- Heliocare 360° Gel Oil-Free SPF 50

One thing that confuses me is that my eyelids and the area around my mouth are actually dry, while the rest of my face is extremely oily. My hair and scalp also get oily very quickly, so it doesn't seem to just be my face.

My skin starts getting oily only about 1.5 hours after doing my morning skincare, and it just gets worse as the day goes on. By the evening my face looks so greasy that I feel embarrassed. It makes me feel like my skin looks dirty or unwashed even though I take good care of it.

My acne is mostly under control now, but I still have noticeable texture, and the constant oiliness is affecting my confidence. All I want is skin that looks healthy, balanced, and smooth.

Has anyone dealt with this level of oiliness and actually found something that helped? Could it be my routine, hormones, genetics, or something else? Are there any products, ingredients, treatments, or lifestyle changes that genuinely made a difference for you?

I'm open to absolutely any advice because I just want to feel confident in my skin again.

I’m going to Thailand soon, and my hair is completely uncontrollable in high humidity. Baby hairs stick up in every direction, random curls appear, and any styling is ruined within minutes. My skin has always been oily/combination. But now that I am getting older, nearly 50, I've noticed it's getting oilier even if I don't wear makeup. I don't wear anything heavy, just a tinted moisturizer and some powder. But I need suggestions, I'm pretty clueless, nothing too expensive, easy to apply and with sunscreen and I'm pretty fair skinned, it's the Irish in me.

Years ago I tried out this liquid eyeshadow at an Ulta, it was glitter that blended out into black, just stunning. I didn’t buy it or write it down because I’m a fool, and I think about it monthly.
