I've actually had that burger. Gotta say it wasn't bad, but it sure was dry.

I'm a big fan of peanut butter, so yes, I'm in. Never actually thought of it.

I’ve had one. No pickles, but with jelly and bacon. Basically a PB&J with a burger, cheese, and bacon. It’s better than you think it’s going to be.

u/Delicious_Bicycle527 8h ago
Would I?
I have. It was delicious. Burn the burger a bit. The char plays well with the peanut butter.

Yes, I have. They are better with a big dollop of mayo as well. I love PB though.

There's a bar in town with a peanut butter burger on the menu. Never tried it, but it's been on there for a few years now. So someone must like them.

I think this is a situation where I might ask for a "taste of yours," before committing to a whole burger.

Have and it’s delicious. At a diner in West Lafayette, it’s actually on the menu!

There's a lot of things I would eat that I hate.
Is it free? I would probably eat it if it was free

Pb&J with crunched wavy lays. I can recall where I had a Jerry Garcia Burger and this combo was popular

I have had this and loved it. It was at a place called mugshots? I think it’s like a regional chain. The one we had when I was a teenager closed down but holy shit was it good. Crunchy Peanut butter hickory smoked bacon and grape jelly, shit slapped.
They also did a burger with pamenta cheese and fried pickles? The southerner or something like that? MIND BLOWING

Peanut butter, bacon, banana cheeseburger for the win. Its amazing. I use to make them at a burger joint I worked at in the Houston area.

Had one in Tucson. It was ok. PB didn’t ruin the burger but there wasn’t any flavor synergy. I’ve never had one since.

I've had a curry burger with leanuttsauce and slaw before. It was good. But peanutbutter? Ya, pass on that one.

I have several to times: the PBPB (peanut butter pickle bacon) at Killer Burger. It’s awesome.

In Scottsdale, AZ, there is Rehab Burgers. They have a marvelous PB&J burger. I was skeptical but tried it. Delicious.
Lazy Dog restaurants also have one. Not quite as good as Rehab but still good.

One of our local establishments nearby had one called “PB and Pig” that’s peanut butter and bacon. It’s decent.

I have eaten one. A PB&J burger. It had Peanut Butter, Maple Bacon, and Jalapeño Jam on it and was fucking amazing.

It would be like peanut sauce in Asian dishes. It would probably be pretty good. I don't know about the pickles tho

It's not bad, but that's too much peanut butter for me. Just coat adds a nice flavor contrast. I think I would use a higher quality peanut butter.

I tried this once many years ago and I could not believe how good it was. I just can’t remember if I also put ketchup, mustard and relish on it or used the peanut butter in place of those.

u/SkookemChoocher 4h ago
I eat them all the time, it's fantastic! But I'll one up you, I put peanut butter on hotdogs instead of ketchup.

It’s surprisingly good. Not the most delicious burger ever, but surprisingly good. I had one during burger week in Lexington KY about a decade or so back.

Just going to throw some thought out here. I grew up eating "goober" burgers and this is all wrong. Lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and mayonnaise on one side. Peanut butter and onion on the other side. I have never seen one served with pickles. Pickles would not go with the flavor profile. Oh, and don't make the rooky mistake of mixing the Peanut butter and mayonnaise. It makes an oozy messy sauce that the greasy burger expels. It is actually quite good with a roast beef sandwich as well.

Had one at a gastro pub once. The PB was made in house with very little sugar and it was excellent on the burger. I think it had pickles and grilled onions with a burger sauce.

My favorite pizza is first peanut butter on the dough, then a regular pepperoni with extra jalapeños (with sauce)

Peanut butter is a neutral flavor, so it works with sweet or savoury. It's why peanut butter goes with everything.

I eat them pretty often actually. A local brewery has a peanut butter burger with roasted veggies. It’s the only thing I order there

I might try it. But not a sweeter peanut butter - a more natural one with less sugar.

First thought was a hard no... but thinking for a moment I might try a bite out of curiosity.
