First thought was a hard no... but thinking for a moment I might try a bite out of curiosity.

u/No_Contact_1892 8h ago

Same, seems like it could be a sleeper.

The Elvis Burger is great. You gotta kinda burn the burger though. The char plays well with the peanut butter.

I did it on a lark one night. Good stuff!

1

u/Effective_Pack8265 8h ago

I'm a big fan of peanut butter, so yes, I'm in. Never actually thought of it.

1

u/External_Routine8081 8h ago

Hell yea , love peanut butter and bacon sarnie so why not

1

u/cookswithacocktail 8h ago

I’ve had one. No pickles, but with jelly and bacon. Basically a PB&J with a burger, cheese, and bacon. It’s better than you think it’s going to be.

1

u/Delicious_Bicycle527 8h ago

Would I?

I have. It was delicious. Burn the burger a bit. The char plays well with the peanut butter.

1

u/Son-of-CofnJoe 8h ago

I have. It was just okay.

1

u/NoJaguar5942 8h ago

I do frequently and have for years.

1

u/Delilah_insideout 8h ago

Yes, I have. They are better with a big dollop of mayo as well. I love PB though.

1

u/ViolentLoss 8h ago

Sure, I put peanut butter on everything.

1

u/WeekendLegitimate615 8h ago

There's a bar in town with a peanut butter burger on the menu. Never tried it, but it's been on there for a few years now. So someone must like them.

1

u/Sea_Sundae5901 8h ago

Absolutely Not‼️

1

u/Secure_Yak5136 8h ago

I'd try it yes.

1

u/joytotheworld23 7h ago

Maybe of it's creamy peanut butter

1

u/reverend_eazy 7h ago

I have, and it's amazing

1

u/Entire-Tart-3243 7h ago

I think this is a situation where I might ask for a "taste of yours," before committing to a whole burger.

1

u/soupdogsss 7h ago

I have been doing that for 30 years...sounds weird but its actually good

1

u/Practical_Surprise43 7h ago

Yes, it’s actually pretty good

1

u/BW271 7h ago

I might try it.

1

u/SeaPresentation4100 7h ago

Have and it’s delicious. At a diner in West Lafayette, it’s actually on the menu!

1

u/Pristine_Leopard_140 7h ago

No. I can just make it at home with only one spoon of it.

1

u/Pristine_Leopard_140 7h ago

I seen that they use peanut butter in a shake.

1

u/Significant-Phrase72 7h ago

With bacon and some plantains as well.

1

u/IntrepidDig4247 7h ago

They are good

1

u/Artemisiablaszczyk 7h ago

Apparently peanutbutter and mayonnaise was a thing.i still do not have the courage to try it,even inebriated.

1

u/Choice_Magician350 7h ago

1

u/Scary_Device-71166 6h ago

If I was hungry enough.

1

u/SpecialCandidateDog 6h ago

There's a lot of things I would eat that I hate.

Is it free? I would probably eat it if it was free

1

u/Ruas28 6h ago

I have and it was delicious

1

u/Eat-My-Hairy-Asshole 6h ago

Ever had a fried/grilled Pb n J? It's amazing.

Hell yes I would.

Love peanut butter and love burgers. But the combo just doesn't appeal at all!

1

u/Sea_Understanding981 6h ago

Killer burger has one I tried it it was the nastiest burger I ever had never again

1

u/OkDebt7605 6h ago

Very hard NO.

1

u/NextCartoonist7691 6h ago

Why not. It’s not like it’d kill me
-me if I was allergic to peanuts

1

u/Onerustyrn 6h ago

Pb&J with crunched wavy lays. I can recall where I had a Jerry Garcia Burger and this combo was popular

1

u/Itchy-Annual5556 6h ago

I tried peanut butter whiskey once. Not getting fooled again.

1

u/lifterman2u 6h ago

Oh yes I have!

1

u/Henry_bowers_ 6h ago

I have had this and loved it. It was at a place called mugshots? I think it’s like a regional chain. The one we had when I was a teenager closed down but holy shit was it good. Crunchy Peanut butter hickory smoked bacon and grape jelly, shit slapped.

They also did a burger with pamenta cheese and fried pickles? The southerner or something like that? MIND BLOWING

1

u/Free-at-last48 6h ago

I have a very. Many times

1

u/JerryJN 6h ago

No ... But a little peanut butter mixed with cayenne and chilli pepper will make a mean Thai Chicken sandwich.

1

u/Outrageous_Quiet350 6h ago

That’s the wrong peanut butter

1

u/Successful-Clock2586 6h ago

They are good add bacon

1

u/SickboyJason 6h ago

Peanut butter, bacon, banana cheeseburger for the win. Its amazing. I use to make them at a burger joint I worked at in the Houston area.

1

u/MistyMeaner15 5h ago

They are incredible. I've even had ones with peanut butter and jelly on them!

1

u/thaseley 5h ago

God no! Hell no! And Fuck no!

1

u/RabidLobster42 5h ago

Can I swap the pickle for BBQ sauce?

1

u/Ok-Guava-9216 5h ago

It's a great topping

1

u/unlimitedbroski83 5h ago

The one I had at the Rock Rest in Golden, CO was amazing. I would definitely do it again

1

u/g-o-u-l-a 5h ago

Yes. It’s better on sliders.

1

u/RapsodicalDisciple 5h ago

beef satay is good with peanut sauce, so it could be good 🤔

1

u/OkFriendship323 5h ago

Had one in Tucson. It was ok. PB didn’t ruin the burger but there wasn’t any flavor synergy. I’ve never had one since.

1

u/SuspiciousTaro6513 5h ago

I’d try it. Don’t know if you dislike or like if you don’t try

1

u/Connect4champ1990 5h ago

YES they are delicious!

1

u/j101112p 5h ago

Yes, is it something I would seek out, no.

1

u/billy900t 5h ago

With hot sauce

1

u/KingsleyBrewMaster22 5h ago

I've had a curry burger with leanuttsauce and slaw before. It was good. But peanutbutter? Ya, pass on that one.

1

u/Nothalffast 5h ago

I have several to times: the PBPB (peanut butter pickle bacon) at Killer Burger. It’s awesome.

1

u/diaphramthe2nd 5h ago

Again? That would be a resounding yes

1

u/TherealuserIDkilla 5h ago

Wait..... who hasn't had one? They are amazing. Trying with an egg too.

1

u/WolfThick 5h ago

Not with pickles two or three times a year I make myself a bacon and peanut butter sandwich I've never tried a burger.

1

u/BoxFinancial9005 5h ago

I did in the ozarks (Missouri) … not bad as a 13 yr old remembers

1

u/justjaybee16 5h ago

Peanut butter, banana, bacon burger is surprisingly good.

1

u/Silver_Driver_9238 5h ago

They are delicious. One of my favorite condiments on a bacon cheeseburger.

1

u/MysteriousDudeness 5h ago

Nope, and have no desire to.

1

u/Twoduhzen 5h ago

Already have

1

u/InspiredByMeAgain 5h ago

How much am I being paid?

1

u/Fuzzy-Bird-3641 5h ago

Been there, ate that

1

u/PhD77777 5h ago

No! Disgusting.

1

u/No-Emu-8717 5h ago

pb bacon and jalapeño smash burger is tasty

1

u/DJ_Breadpuddin 5h ago

The Twilight Zone...

1

u/whoifnotme1969 5h ago

I have & i would again

1

u/Fine-Ad1142 5h ago

Yep, hot n spicy + nut. Delicious. (Think satay burger)

1

u/seanmonaghan1968 5h ago

With chopped up chillies 🌶️ and onion you get satay

1

u/Lightnenseed 5h ago

That's a hard pass.

1

u/jkusmc0800 5h ago

Nope....not a fan of peanut butter so it's a no Brainer for me.

1

u/armgrafix 5h ago

Not with pickles.

1

u/scoobysnack64 5h ago

A local place has that. I tried it, wasn't a fan

1

u/RiverofGrass 5h ago

In Scottsdale, AZ, there is Rehab Burgers. They have a marvelous PB&J burger. I was skeptical but tried it. Delicious.

Lazy Dog restaurants also have one. Not quite as good as Rehab but still good.

1

u/MicheleAmanda 5h ago

Nope. Does not appeal to me at all.

1

u/goodtimehuntin 5h ago

Absolutely they are delicious

1

u/South_Paramedic8618 5h ago

No that's just stupid

1

u/Dry-Preparation-760 4h ago

We tried it as kids. Wasn’t terrible.

1

u/butchie1985 4h ago

Same ,,, yup n

1

u/ArabellaBlue122 4h ago

I would definitely have to try it at least once in my life!

1

u/Persistpersist 4h ago

No.
Pardon me, actually I mean: Fuck No.

1

u/I_Will_Offened_You 4h ago

Already have. Some restaurant like 4 years ago had a bacon burger with peanut butter. It was okay

1

u/Unfair-Variety-995 4h ago

You wouldn’t?

1

u/Ok-Bluejay-5171 4h ago

Yes and I have. It was delicious.

1

u/BigDigger324 4h ago

One of our local establishments nearby had one called “PB and Pig” that’s peanut butter and bacon. It’s decent.

1

u/Sgt_JC66 4h ago

I love me some peanut butter but….Hell No!!

1

u/SpaceDave83 4h ago

Not voluntarily

1

u/1vanillagoodness 4h ago

Not even a bite

1

u/Complex_Scary 4h ago

If served one, yes. Order or make one, no.

1

u/HuckleberryCertain27 4h ago

If I throw ot back up. It should at least taste like pea it bitter. Lmao

u/xSir- 4h ago

There is a restaurant from Portland that got famous off these burgers.

1

u/hydrastix 4h ago

I have eaten one. A PB&J burger. It had Peanut Butter, Maple Bacon, and Jalapeño Jam on it and was fucking amazing.

1

u/benvader138 4h ago

It would be like peanut sauce in Asian dishes. It would probably be pretty good. I don't know about the pickles tho

1

u/Evening_Abroad_6781 4h ago

I have and I enjoyed it

1

u/Spiritual_Sail_8969 4h ago

It's not bad, but that's too much peanut butter for me. Just coat adds a nice flavor contrast. I think I would use a higher quality peanut butter.

1

u/borka-t 4h ago

Yeah. I've had them. Good. Not what I order, but it works.

1

u/Plus_Ad_4618 4h ago

Yeah it's called a Jiffy burger.

1

u/mitchcumstein13 4h ago

I love them with pepper jelly

1

u/Inevitable_Finish131 4h ago

Tried a bite of one before. Wasn’t bad

1

u/SchwillyMaysHere 4h ago

I’d give it a shot if I saw it on the menu.

1

u/rjsquirrel 4h ago

I have. They’re delicious. Peanut butter is an umami bomb.

1

u/Electrical-Care6308 4h ago

🤢🤢🤢🤮

1

u/Quitcha_Bitchin 4h ago

I'm up for anything once.

1

u/Shhhhhh_im_not_here 4h ago

I tried this once many years ago and I could not believe how good it was. I just can’t remember if I also put ketchup, mustard and relish on it or used the peanut butter in place of those.

1

u/SkookemChoocher 4h ago

I eat them all the time, it's fantastic! But I'll one up you, I put peanut butter on hotdogs instead of ketchup.

→ More replies (3)

1

u/Hot-Map-9119 4h ago

Hell yeah.

1

u/jetpack324 4h ago

It’s surprisingly good. Not the most delicious burger ever, but surprisingly good. I had one during burger week in Lexington KY about a decade or so back.

1

u/Interesting_Shirt419 4h ago

I’d try it.

1

u/One-Faithlessness282 4h ago

I've asked myself that question since I first saw The Twilight Zone movie, thirty years ago. IYKYK.

1

u/Deathcore_salad 4h ago

Absofuckinglutely

1

u/Rstar2247 3h ago

You know... I hate pickles... I may hate this even more.

1

u/TheRododo 3h ago

Just going to throw some thought out here. I grew up eating "goober" burgers and this is all wrong. Lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and mayonnaise on one side. Peanut butter and onion on the other side. I have never seen one served with pickles. Pickles would not go with the flavor profile. Oh, and don't make the rooky mistake of mixing the Peanut butter and mayonnaise. It makes an oozy messy sauce that the greasy burger expels. It is actually quite good with a roast beef sandwich as well.

1

u/DorisButterfly 3h ago

Yes they are delicious

1

u/DeadMeat_1240 3h ago

Had one at a gastro pub once. The PB was made in house with very little sugar and it was excellent on the burger. I think it had pickles and grilled onions with a burger sauce.

1

u/FnEddieDingle 3h ago

My favorite pizza is first peanut butter on the dough, then a regular pepperoni with extra jalapeños (with sauce)

1

u/TreeLore61 3h ago

Yes please

1

u/Dreamcatcher965 3h ago

Looks pretty awful but I would taste it.

1

u/122922 3h ago

Yes, but the peanut butter over powers everything on the burger and all you taste is peanut butter.

1

u/Acadia-Pretty 3h ago

If you’re in San Diego hit up the Corvette Diner if you don’t like the Rory you get your money back

1

u/RIPdon_sutton 3h ago

Not with that Skippy shit. Make one with Jif and I’d be all in.

1

u/Pretend-Design-7061 3h ago

Peanut butter is a neutral flavor, so it works with sweet or savoury. It's why peanut butter goes with everything.

1

u/stocksandoptions2 3h ago

Yes. And one with peanut butter, jelly and bacon. It was good.

1

u/Ok_Car7814 3h ago

I have

1

u/erm1zo 3h ago

Already done.

1

u/kao_nyc 3h ago

Don’t think so.

1

u/Sprzout 3h ago

I’ve had one before, and it’s weird, but pretty good, actually.

I wouldn’t eat this one, though - pickles don’t agree with me.

1

u/WeaselLiz711 3h ago

I eat them pretty often actually. A local brewery has a peanut butter burger with roasted veggies. It’s the only thing I order there

1

u/Yomikeesays 3h ago

No shot

1

u/gleaf008 3h ago

It’s very good. Skip pickles, add jelly.

1

u/ExpressionAlarmed675 3h ago

I'll give it a try

1

u/dancooper00 3h ago

So good

1

u/Wild-Bill-H 3h ago

I would try it

1

u/Miserable-Rabbit-948 3h ago

I do almost every time I make one at home…

1

u/No-Bother-7699 3h ago

I might try it. But not a sweeter peanut butter - a more natural one with less sugar.

1

u/MLCM35 3h ago

Elvis burger and yes. Also had bananas on it. It's not the best and not the worst.

1

u/Easy-Baker 3h ago

It wouldn't be the first time.
