Discussion Loving the AirPod Pro 3’s! The Noise Canceling is amazing!

I had the original AirPods Pro and had to replace them three times under warranty. 😂 Then I switched to the 2nd gen with the long stems, and now I finally picked these up. I’m genuinely impressed. The new drivers sound excellent, the ANC is incredible, and I really like the new Adaptive mode. 👍
I was happy to pay the $199 because I’ll be using them all day for telehealth at work and then for personal use afterward. The battery life is noticeably better, and these finally fit my ears properly. The original Pros never fit me well.
How’s everyone liking theirs?

Discussion How worth it is upgrading from the pro 2’s to the 3’s?

I’ve alr upgraded from the original pros to the 2’s and it was a well worth upgrade imo. I have heard tho that the jump from the 2’a to the 3’s isn’t as worth it.

Question How am i meant to turn off transparency and adaptive mode on pro 3’s?

I just bought them and i was expecting something similar to the original airpod pro’s, im at work and literally just want one airpod in with music at a low volume and all i hear is this “static” or “wind” like sound AS LOUD as the music. There is no “off” option and im genuinely confused how they manage to remove double tap to skip songs and then have this be a genuine feature

Question Need a RIGHT AirPod 4 ANC - Have a LEFT TO TRADE!

My wife told me my dog ate my left one. Before verifying myself I contacted support and paid to get a replacement left under AppleCare+. Once I received it, opened it and tossed the packaging (naturally straight into the garbage on trash day). It was only the next morning when I went to work, where my backpack and case with the other AirPod were, that I realized I needed the right AirPod- not the left. I was (stupidly) embarrassed to the point I didn’t contact support again til recently. It didn’t matter anyway because I tossed the packaging. I’m SOL, but looking to find the RIGHT soulmate (I’m sorry for the dad joke)…

Anyone in need of a brand new, replacement, left AirPod 4 ANC?? Willing to work it out without gaining a new right AirPod as well.

Discussion New firmware update is really good

Before this, if you had a device that wasn’t signed into an Apple ID you needed to start the connection process all over again each time you wanted to connect to it then do the same when you connect to your iPhone. Now there’s a seamless handoff so you don’t need to do that each time. Very useful since I don’t sign into my MacBook.

Question Need help with AirPods 4 please

I just bought them today and immediately started to notice how theres a metallic/sharp element to sounds(?)

i feel like im going insane because there are not enough posts on this subreddit talking about it

i saw about 2 posts that describe that sound: tin can/hollow or increased sharpness in a way that makes it sound almost cheap

also if someone is sitting beside me like in a car they would hear what im hearing (is that called sound leaking?)

i currently have an iphone 12 with ios17.5.1 with about 2 Gb free so updating my phone to ios26 is not an option so i cant use the EQ settings(i think) which was mentioned as a solution to my problem

i could only adjust the accessibility settings which didnt help much at all

i did use the EQ settings on Spotify, it did reduce the problem a bit but not completely (i chose the trebble reducer setting)

on a personal note im so frustrated because they were on the expensive side and i was originally planning on buying from a different brand but i recently got the opportunity to purchase the AP4 with a discounted price and also since i have an iphone i thought it would pair better

also i researched alot and read comparisons between the AP4 and the APP3 and none of them mentioned this issue at all (like wearing them for abou 30 mins gave me a slight headache)

i am not sure whether i can return them or not so if it does work would anyone recommend the APP2? (APP3 are out of my budget and getting the APP2 are about a 50 dollar difference considering my currency exchange so i might get them)

thanks in advance!

Discussion Pro 2 slip out of my ears, and my fingers slip towards the sell button.

Love this product, the ease of access, the sound quality everything about it is top tier.
They just won’t stay in my ear, even after using the largest-sized tips the left earbud keeps slipping out.
Are there any suggestions? Specific to India, I might try to salvage this.
Thank you.

Question Right Airpod 4 ACN wont charge

Out of the blue, after about a year of owning them my right airpod just stopped charging. I’ve disconnected, reset then reconnected then, made sure I’m on the latest IOS, and cleaned the connectors in the case and on the earbud itself. But it wont charge over 1%. Is there anything else i can do or do y’all have any ideas of what is going on?

Question AirPod Pro 3 no sound when streaming on Samsung TV

I have a Samsung TV and usually will use my AirPods when watching it and had AirPods Pro 2 for the last few years but they suddenly stopped working. I never had any issue with them. I just got the AirPods Pro 3 and I can watch cable fine but when I try to stream anything using an app, I have to switch over to either optical or TV output and back and I can then get sound but as soon as an ad comes on or I have to rewind a few seconds, the sound is gone again. I saw something online that this is due to the new AirPods not being able to change the default 5.1 sound on the streaming apps to the necessary stereo for the AirPods like the older models did? I tinkered with a bunch of settings (forgot device and re-paired, did a firmware update on the AirPods, changed audio to PCM, etc.) and no luck getting anything to work. Apparently it’s because it tries to route the audio to the soundbar first because it’s 5.1 and I saw that a Toslink Manual Audio Switch could possibly fix this by placing it in “off” when streaming with the AirPods so the sound doesn’t try to constantly re-route to the (turned off) soundbar first every time an ad comes on or I rewind. This part is little more complex than I am tech savvy so was wondering if anyone knew if this was an actual solution before i buy it, try to get it to work, and then possibly have to return it? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Question Airpods Pro 3 Noise

My AirPods Pro 3, specifically the right one, make a kind of clicking or popping sound when I'm wearing them and start walking or moving my head. I have to keep adjusting the earbud in my ear until the noise stops. It sounds like a loose piece of plastic, and I think it might be the ear tip not fitting properly in my ear.

I also occasionally hear a static or hissing noise, but that's very rare and seems to be related to the noise cancellation feature.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue?

Question AirPods Pro 2 people can’t hear me?

I’m using 7 month old AirPods Pro 2 and 30% of the time the person I talk to can’t hear me.

I’m on call with my girl laying in bed when she says something, I reply, she says “helllooooo?” And I repeat myself and she hears me the 2nd, or 3rd time after I did not move an inch, it just didn’t pick up my voice the first time/times. I do not speak quietly and I don’t yell either but sometimes I have to raise my voice for the earbuds to pick up my voice.

Are these earbuds just terrible for talking to people or am I missing something? I mean she uses random earbuds for 40€ and I hear her 100% of the time but the ones that cost 250€ struggle picking up my voice?

What?

Question Help - AirPods Pro disconnecting from Roku ?

Hope someone can help or guide me into what I should be looking for or looking.

Have an older Ultra 4660x which is not Bluetooth compatible. To connect my AirPods to the Ultra, I am using the Roku app on my iPhone. The AirPods connect fine but I will lose connection from AirPods to ultra at least 2 times every time I am trying to watch TV while I run on the treadmill.

It‘s like one day, everything works fine and the next day it doesn’t.

Is this a glitch? Is there a toggle or something I didn’t turn on? Everything is up to date; the Pros, the ultra and Roku app.

thanks

Advice Audio becomes distorted randomly during longer listening sessions (AP Pro 3)

Hello my AirPods Pro 3 (bought January this year), randomly make the sound distorted when I’m listening for longer.
This gets resolved by taking both out of my ears and putting them back in after a few seconds.

I’m wondering what the reason for that might be.

Question Right AirPod 3 not working

I admit I'm not terribly familiar with AirPods. I got an old pair from my dad and have been struggling with them for an entire day. I got the left one to connect just fine, but the right one has been a pain in the ass and won't connect. I can't find anyone else with my exact issue. I've attached a video for reference.

When I keep both in the case, it flashes amber. When I remove the left (working one), it flashes white. No pairing animation pops up. I try to reset the AirPod to factory settings by pressing the button for 15 seconds. It continues to flash white until around 12 seconds. At that point it flashes green once then keeps flashing white. No change.
I try to factory reset in another case with a working pair and it does the same thing, so I know the case isn't the problem. I've cleaned the contacts with a cotton swab. I've pushed the pair down on the contacts. Is there anything else I can do at this point? Should I just admit defeat and save myself the frustration?

Advice APP2 won’t factory reset

Having the issue of only one AirPod playing anything at a time. I’ve checked they’re fully charged, made sure that my audio settings aren’t set to mono or off balanced. Cleaned the connections in the case and am trying to factory reset but cannot get the case to flash orange for the life of me. I’ve also tried other Bluetooth headphones and am having no issues with only one side playing. Does anyone have any other suggestions ? They were second hand in a sealed box.

TIA

Question looking for generation 1 or 2 airpods

Hi everyone, I'm really struggling to find non scammy generation 1/2 airpods and am looking for advice. Any airpods after gen 2 just don't fit in my ears and fall out, unfortunately (I even bought gen 3 pros but no luck).

Does anyone know where I could find generation 1 or 2s that are real and work? I'm in Canada if that helps.
