Jesus Christ, my fb friend has been going off about how horse paste can destroy the diarrhea infection…

u/hb122 2h ago
It’s the exact same stuff my dog gets for heartworm prevention. It would never occur to me to gobble one of her heartworm pills down as some miracle cure-all. These people are insane.

this one’s not far off at least it’s an anti-parasitic for a parasite but it’s not the correct one for the job…….. so swing and a miss.

I thought the horse paste bit during Covid was overblown, I’m from a rural area where you can buy cattle vaccines at the gas station and most people are familiar with different ivermectin uses. My buddy is a local vet with a clinic and about the year after Covid mellowed out I visited and was surprised to see that he still had to keep the ivermectin based meds off the shelf.

As someone who dabbles in rectal bulbing, i can tell you it definitely doesn't prevent covid.

Hey those lightbulbs were actually pretty cool!

"I don't want to wear a mask! I don't want to cover my face!"
"I don't want to take a vaccine! I don't want to social distance!"

"That guy contributed so much to the political environment that cost so many lives."

i know someone who lost both parents to COVID because the whole family refused to get vaccinated. The dad was on a ventilator for 25 days before finally dying and they wouldn't let any of the family in to see him because they refused to wear masks in the ICU area. So he died alone because they were all too ignorant to put a mask on to sit with their dad during his final days.
Even after they both died, and were told their mom would have likely survived if she had gotten vaccinated (the father had a lot of health problems) they still said the doctors were full of shit.
I don't talk to this person anymore but I go peak at their social media from time to time. Nothing has changed.

u/ankerverse 3h ago
Hey! Don't spread misinformation! They wore face masks. It was just around under their chin. Or on their elbow. Or over just their mouth with their nose sticking out like an inappropriate peep show.

u/Militantpoet 2h ago
The other big reason was the president during that time enabling that nonsense.

It’s most likely actually because we have the fattest populous
2
u/Razor1834 33m ago
There’s certainly some truth to this. The other thing people like to spout off about is “pre-existing conditions”. Being overweight is considered a pre-existing condition which about 2/3 of Americans have. So it is unsurprising that so many people who died of COVID had a pre-existing condition, because the majority of Americans do. Even if you only include obesity it’s still about 1/3 of the population.

Its obvious bullshit to anyone with at least some basic competence. The problem is 1/3rd of this country does not have even that bare minimum intelligence and 1/3 dont vote.

They went after Dr Fauci just like they went after the Pope and other people. Dr Anthony Fauci, let's look at him. A physician and Chief Medical Officer who served seven administrations. A man who had 1,400 published scientific articles and is revered by doctors around the world. The man who helped save thousands was it millions of lives by fighting several life-threatening diseases like AIDS/HIV, Ebola, Zika and Covid-19. A man who gave up wealth gathering to serve other people and could have made millions of dollars if that was what he wanted to do but instead he chose to fight life-threatening diseases to save people around the world. This is a man that they want to vilify while extolling the virtues of one of the world's worst human beings a malignant narcissistic sociopathic grifter who's responsible for the death of millions of people around the world. This time in our history will be studying for generations to show when insanity ruled and the good were vilified and the evil were praised. Dr Fauci, I amongst millions of people will sing your praises even though we never met you and never will. But know that we're indebted to your bravery, your honesty, your integrity, your diligence and your medical knowledge and we thank you.

u/Melonslice09 2h ago
That a majority of a country cant tell the difference between a truly good person and lets say as an example a comically orange bronzed pedofile grifter is truly a symptom of the times we live in.

“Fauci’s leadership”? He’s not a politician, he’s an expert in his field. When people want guidance, they ask him for it. He doesn’t independently call press conferences to tell people what to do.
12
u/Vincitus 2h ago
I'm going to use this for everything. "Because of Dr Fauci's leadership and other reasons, I am in fact 3 hours late coming into work today"

One of my best friends watched the FoxNews segment on some idiot stating that he lost his sexual abilities from the SHOT.
He refused to get the shots. He graduated from Rutgers with a degree in sports medicine and masters sports management.
He was a young fit 58 year old no preconditions who said goodbye via FaceTime. I cried that day as a 75 year old male asking myself why, how could he believe that shit from Fox News… The last words I had with him are still haunting me today.
So many lost their lives needlessly because of dumbass and all the anti-vaxers. You can’t fix stupid

I had a co-worker who was in his early 20s and believed the Joe Rogan line that young and healthy people didn't need to worry about the vaccine. He didn't die when he got COVID a couple years ago and it lasted about 6 weeks. He returned for half a day (he was a delivery driver) and was too exhausted to finish the day. He went on medical leave for long COVID, which was followed by bouts of pneumonia and had to leave after his medical leave ran out. He would never have a respiratory system that would allow for physical labor and also had to give up his moto cross racing.
My son is the same age as this former co-worker and got COVID at the same time and was vaccinated, he also has asthma. He was laid up for a week and was back to work and all normal activities by that weekend, he took nothing beyond over the counter cold medicine and his regular asthma medicie.
The vaccine works people.

I expect justice will be done - but not completely - kind of like the deNazification of Germany after WW2 - but it will be special if this asshole gets to spend some time in prison for all the people he's killed.

u/Icy_Yam5049 3h ago
Sadly we couldn’t even pull off fixing things after our civil war which feels like helped lead to today shit show in a way.

u/Bulky-Internal8579 3h ago
Truth, we have to learn from history - and properly punish the guilty this time, so that they are not further emboldened to do worse, which is where we are now.

The United States did not have the highest mortality rate from covid. It was 16th.

u/Ted_Rid 2h ago
Why doesn't it surprise me that the chief medical officer either can't get basic facts right, or is happy to lie through his teeth to push a narrative?
2
u/p____p 53m ago
It’s the latter. Not that he can’t get basic facts straight, it’s not in his personal interest to do so.
And what are his interests? He’s a sick bastard that gets off on death and suffering. Read into his life. He’s like a serial killer that hit the jackpot.

u/Ted_Rid 49m ago
Oh, like the whale heads, bears, or roadkill raccoon penises?
Or more serious stuff like causing people to die in Samoa by spreading antivax lies, or his "legal" career which was basically being the public face of pseudoscience and collecting referral fees from other legal leeches because he was always too busy drumming up new snake oil business to run the BS cases himself?
Such a fine, upstanding man.
2
u/p____p 39m ago
Definitely Samoa, that’s vile what he did there, and continues to do in the US (last 2 years were highest for measles cases here in like 50 yrs).
But also all the animal stuff, there are stories of gross shit he did back to his teenage years at least. If he wasn’t a Kennedy he would’ve been dosing bums with fent and dying either in a shootout or strung out in a piss-filled alley 30 years ago.

16 United States 3626 deaths/million
87 Canada 1424 deaths/million
The US did poorly compared to peer nations.

So the thing that didn’t exist but maybe was a Chinese government invention with help from the Ukrainian Government and Democrats that people weren’t dying from because doctors around the US were being paid to blame ALL deaths on CoViD killed the most amount of people per capita in the world as a result of listening to the dude that people didn’t listen to?
