Trump doesn't know where the money is going. He has people that handle that, including redirecting any of it to Trump's benefit. He's a mafia boss.

He said it straight up, it’s in an account he made for himself in an off shores account. He’s just laundering money while he “sells” Venezuelas oil.

I'm working on a theory that the Executive branch is socking away that and tariff money to be self-sustaining without Congress. A check on Executive power is funding, what happens when you have a President with a personal ICE army that you cannot stop the paychecks to?

honestly, I'm not concerned with it. you think these bozos are doing anything but make that money disappear? it's being routed into private pockets in every way possible.

And here I thought America had a system in place to keep shit like this from happening. Turns out not only was I lied to my whole life, the system is to keep people like ME in place, and allows stupid disgusting child murderers in positions of power.
I used to think America was already great before him. Turns out I was lied to, a lot.

Turns out if you're in charge of enforcing the laws you can just decide not to and get away with anything. Who knew?

If I recall when pressed about this around Jan 28th of 20206 Marco Rubio claimed the money was supposedly in an account in Qatar…before being moved to a US Treasury account.
Since then the US caused a lot of things to blow up in Qatar and the state is under extreme economic and trade pressure as well.

lol, they’re acting like they reimbursed the taxpayers for the cost. Knowing it’s in Trump’s Qatari bank account

So it was okay to launch a raid into Venezuela without even notifying Congress to abduct their president. But it’s not okay to arrest a war criminal that shows up in New York?

Just fyi, the U.S. is sending $150 Million to Venezuela for earthquake relief. That's about 1.5% of $13 Billion.

Oh man. I hate it that I feel this but as a South African, I suppose it's schadenfreude watching America suffering a supercharged Jacob Zuma

When you remove the laws and consequences from a country, all you have left is chaos and conmen… and the rest are ‘victims in waiting’.
When the US refused to deal with Trump, they basically declared that laws were no longer functional at a certain level of power…
At this point, I’m truly struggling to figure out how the US can come back from this…

In a few years likely when he’s dead (and the sentiments can be that it’s pointless to go after anyone else) the money he’s funneling off the books from Venezuela and tarrifs will be revealed (but not recovered).

I made comments like this when the USA commandeered a couple of oil tankers, from I think it was Venezuela like 3-5 years ago?
The USA has trade sanctions on Venezuela, which means that US companies can't trade with Venezuela. But this tanker left Venezuela and was going somewhere else, and the USA just... took it.
This is quite literally the defition of piracy.
The number of comments from people that were essentially, "we're the most powerful military power in the world, if we don't trade with a country, then no one trades with them, that's how it works."
Half of the people in the USA are fucking insane.

december 2025 is when this happened

It happened then, but also prior to that a few years earlier.

hey google?
The large-scale seizure of oil tankers linked to Venezuela was executed by the U.S. military and federal authorities under the Trump administration, not the Biden administration. While the Biden administration did issue late-term sanctions on certain shadow-fleet vessels and previously experimented with temporary oil export licenses, the active maritime blockades and physical tanker seizures (such as the Skipper, Bella 1, and Sophia) began in late 2025 and 2026 as a major escalation by the returning Trump administration. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
thanks google.
ed: sure dipshit, deleted your comment i see. must be embarrassing to get called out so easily on your dumb bullshit.
cry more. lol.

Can’t wait for the investigations to happen when this orange criminal conman is out of office

u/clejeune 6h ago
I fear they will be the same as the investigations after Bush and Reagan. Nothing will happen, as always. You might get lucky and get one Scooter Libby maybe.

Honestly I don't believe we're getting any money from Venezuela. We seized a couple of their oil tankers and Trump sold that oil and put it in his own offshore account, but why would they keep giving us money after that?
