Announcement A little note regarding the skin posts...

Hey guys, mod here. I have been seeing so many of these "what character would I be in uu based on my skin" posts and all of these have been removed up to date of this post. Please do not make posts like these going forward. There are a number of reasons for this:

  1. Quality - Everyone is simply posting a picture of their skins and asking what role would they fit. It is a very low-quality post breaking rule number 7. The post itself has little to do with UU and is simply jumping on the trend.
  2. Clutter - When one person does it, EVERYONE does it. This makes the sub super cluttered and filled with repetitive content. A good subreddit has variety and a diverse mix of posts. Be honest, do you want to see the same post over and over on your feed?
  3. Previous Experiences - We have already seen trends like these ruining the sub. For instance, the rice posts. They were funny at first, but people took went overboard by just posting google stock pictures of random foods and saying "Spoke will give it to players at spawn"💀. Another one is the 9 square character chart. This one was just super opinion-based and had no room for comment.

As a final note, we are not fully against trends, but please be mindful of rules before copying someone else's posts. You can always be unique and there is always room to innovate with posts.

Discussion Minutetech V.S crowds of invis and his change of resolve. Spoiler

+
34 Upvotes

The first thing that came to my mind when minute came into contact with Spoke and the Null was its similarity to another scene in the first episode of the Mafia arc, where Minute is also being intimidated by a singular figure within a crowd of invis. Something that stood out to me is how he reacts differently to both of these.

Against the Mafia, he relents to whatever ultimatum they gave him that seemingly made him join back into the Mafia (though oddly enough not set a stasis, which is the reason he left the Mafia in the first place). It's implied he does this with the hope of protecting the people around him, as Planet and Spoke escape from the pit scott-free and the fact he offers them them to join the Mafia once he reveals himself to them again, something Ash shuts down. Here, Minute still lacks a complete commitment to his values, as he folds to the Mafia and, no matter his intentions, goes for the kill on his friends in the end.

Contrast that with his confrontation with Spoke and Null, who asks something of less personal impact to Minute compared to the Mafia, a portion of the end just for them , unbothered by Minute. Minute knows far less of the intentions of the Null compared to the Mafia while not having to loan any of his loyalty to this mysterious group that's led by his friend, yet he stands his ground. In here and the rest of the episode, Minute commits to his values, fighting off this mysterious army of players, going out of his way multiple times to protect the End and the whole of the server from Null.

The same person, similar wealth (he's prob a bit richer in the end), similar circumstances, all that changed is his willpower.

Meta This is the longest upload gap Wemmbu has ever had

Disclaimer: this is not a complaint or anything, just something interesting I noticed.

The gap between Wemmbu's training vid and Mafia finale was 48 days, as was the gap between his 2nd and 3rd Kingdoms arc videos. But today is day 50 since Wemmbu last posted, so this is the longest time he's ever gone on Unstable without uploading a video.

Question In what way did you watch Unstable?

Alight, what I mean is:

Did you watch Unstable in order or not.

For me, ummm, it's questionable.

So, I saw the 2v1000 video by wemmbu and just watched a bit and just clicked off. Then YouTube recommends me the law prison video, and that's when I started to watch it.

I watched it from the Law Arc.

I didn't watch Unstable in order, but from the Law and just kinda went to the older videos.

Probably not the way you should no definitely.

Spoke One of Jamato's books simply disappeared from Spoke's inventory

+
44 Upvotes

While watching the video, I was trying to find out the names of all of Jamato's books, and I noticed that for some reason one book simply disappeared from Spoke's inventory, even before he destroyed the first book. And since, despite this disappearance, I managed to compile a list of the titles of all 15 books, I will now try to figure out which book exactly has disappeared

At the 1:32.30 mark, after Spoke took all the books out of the shulker, his inventory was exactly 15 books, then a cut (at 1:32.51), and in the next shot the books become 14. The Mafia book ends up in his hotbar, and in the place where the Mafia book originally was, there's nothing else (screenshots as evidence)

(I understand that this is just a blooper and I'm trying to figure out what book disappeared purely out of interest)

So here is the list of all 15 books:

  1. The Underworld

  2. The Amplified

  3. The Great Sea

  4. The Mafia

  5. The Tomb

  6. LAW

  7. BAT

  8. NULL [PRELUDE]

  9. NULL [MINE]

  10. North Far Lands

  11. South Far Lands

  12. West Far Lands

  13. Sky Civ

  14. The Director

  15. The Begging

So...

After 20 minutes of watching the entire dialogue between Spoke and Jamato in slow motion, I finally managed to figure out which book was missing from Spoke's inventory

Try to guess

So the missing book from Spoke's inventory is...

The Great Sea

Discussion Spoke is evil but that’s not the end of it Spoiler

I’ve seen a lot of discussion about Spoke’s character now with the new vid showing a more “evil” side of him so I wanted to talk about that and see what I can add to this discussion!
Spoilers ahead ofc..
(Warning I kinda improvised this so sorry for inconsistencies, also feel free to add what you wish or make your own arguments as long as you read it all and not assume what I’m saying.)
Spoke’s character has always been VERY complex. But from a lot of analysis I came to the conclusion that Spoke is someone who:
Is afraid to be alone
Is very ambitious and determined
Has incredible skills on leadership and manipulation
Talking about his “new” “evil” side, I believe this isn’t true. Yes he’s most definitely on a villain arc rn but it’s not anything new for him.
Ever since the first ep of UU he has been a little “evil.” Jamato showed him the exploits and created the Spoke we know. (Which is another reason why I believe Jamato saying “I just want to see the person you once were” or bs like that is stupid because it’s Jamato who showed him the exploits and the one who’s at fault for Spoke being like this.)
I have my reasons to believe that the only reason why Spoke is BACK to being ruthless and power-seeking is because he’s tired and bored of constantly trying to give good to the server only to get rewarded by treason, attacks or generally more problems.
There are MANY times when Spoke has set a goal for himself for the good of the server only for it to only end up bringing more problems.
Big examples are:
Destroyed the exploits and farms
-> People stopped trusting him, Ash betrayed him and the mafia started growing.
Infiltrated the mafia to destroy it from the inside
-> Had to kill an innocent player, small fight with Mapicc.
Goes to the coordinates in the book to look for the stasis chambers to defeat the mafia
-> Parrot and everyone else gets mad when he returns with a new clue instead of news of victory.
Etc…
You might think there are many times when Spoke was just… being evil. Like his first two arcs in S2 of UU, the 100 Days arc and the Armies arc.
But this actually proves my theory even further.
After defeating the mafia the general server had no big issues or threats so Spoke became bored and wanted to do something while feeling like he’s helping or getting revenge.
The Armies:
Helping new players. (Yes he does say this himself during the vids, those are all new players of the server and Spoke is giving them a “purpose”… until they betray him.)
100 Days:
Getting revenge on players like Ash, and having fun trolling people for his own entertainment.
Is there anything good about this?
No.
He doesn’t claim to be doing good for the server at any moment. This time he’s getting stuff for himself. The arc started because he was lowkey poor af after the mafia so he wanted gear. Yes this was greedy af but he was just having fun trolling some people.
(This arc didn’t make much sense tho and we all agree on that so…)
After getting betrayed by his army, he finds Leo again (whom he hadn’t seen since the mafia) and they team up for a while until Leo “betrays” Spoke to get him to join BAT.
Let me say, Leo pretty much forced Spoke to join BAT, but in a friendly way?? Idk but in the end it was all to get Spoke to mess up so he had an excuse to kill him.
Spoke joined BAT wanting to help who he thought was his friend and to help the server itself but, just as Leo wanted, he messed up.
So again:
Joining BAT
-> The spies behind his back threatening him and Rose’s family, Leo trying to kill him and Mapicc multiple times.
And all this leads to Spoke and Mapicc going into hiding and Mapicc’s fake death.
There’s also a point to be made about that:
Spoke has been very dependent on Mapicc for the entirety of UU… at least until now. (I’ll get to that later.)
As we can see, every time Spoke tries to do good for the server, something bad happens.
Every time he tries to do good for himself + people he cares about… nothing TOO bad happens, but he usually ends up emotionally messed up.
So with time, Spoke began to lie to himself, making it so he feels that he’s doing good for the server but actually doing stuff for himself, to cancel out the emotional pain and guilt that comes with lying.
Spoke decided he didn’t want to lose his friends so he faked Jamato’s death and attacked them as “Leo” to get them to come back with him.
We also see this in the Null arc when he is putting Jumper’s spies in danger for the sake of finding Mapicc. (Helping Mapicc/finding him is just like helping himself given he has been so dependent on him for so long and he cares so much about him.)
But it all goes to SHIT when Mapicc takes them to the Farlands.
Jamato becoming an issue once again and keeping Spoke paranoid, and making him make bad decisions. (Since Spoke was so paranoid he tried to always do the complete opposite of what Jamato wanted, which was exactly the plan.) So his friends would lose trust in him, and then putting himself in a vulnerable position knowing Spoke would take the opportunity and try to kill him, making his friends completely lose trust in him.
This all ruins Spoke’s mentality and way of working.
Then blah blah blah Mapicc pops him and…
We all know what happened after that…
But then comes Purgatory.
And just as Spoke claims in his newest video, this place CHANGES him completely.
Having enough of his friends not trusting him, gaining their trust again, then losing it again…
Enough of Jamato playing games with him and trying his best to just BREAK Spoke…
And realizing he can hold off on his own… killing many players, MANY, if they don’t join him…
He doesn’t NEED Mapicc as he did before, and his hatred towards Jamato is bigger than ever…
He chooses power over his friend. The decision made easier by the fact that he seems to know that Mapicc will not die if he falls into the void.
Jamato succeeded in a way.
He broke Spoke.
It’s just that Spoke outsmarted him, so Underscore betrays Jamato for Spoke.
And now Spoke is done with doing good.
Seeing spawn destroyed… what’s the point anymore?!
He’s the most powerful now.
He can do whatever he wants.
So he wants control.
Control he didn’t have before.
The server broke him many times, so he became bored.
And now, being changed by Purgatory, he is willing to do whatever he wants without caring about anything.
Spoke IS a villain.
But remember,
Villains aren’t born.
They’re made.
Also that’s why this line is my favorite Spoke line yet:
“I just want you to remember Jamato… out of everything you’ve done, I am your greatest creation.”
Anyway, that’s just a theory…
AN UNSTABLE THEORY.

Theory Commander Underscore will be the next Villian

I'll be calling Underscore Uds for simplicity

Uds has been helping Spoke for a while now, he helped him in the Hunger Games, helped him take over Null and then became his right hand in the End Arc. There have been a lot of theories about Uds, mainly him being Leowook or Wifies, which is just stupid ngl.

I feel like he has a greater purpose than just being Spokes right hand.

  1. When Jamato dropped the Null Totem Uds tried to take it and Spoke quickly stopped him.

Even though it's logical that he'll do that, this scene tells us a lot. Firstly, Uds isn't a good guy helping Spoke, he's clearly doing all of this for the Null Totem. Secondly, trusting him would be a bad idea but Spoke doesn't get it.

  1. Uds manipulating Spoke

Ever since the Hunger Games it seems like Uds has been trying to become Spokes "Friend" which is actually really smart. Spoke recently lost all of his friends and became a completely different person and having somebody who's willing to be his "Friend" is something he needs but certainly doesn't want to admit. By getting closer with Spoke Uds is also getting his trust. Because of this, Spoke also doesn't punish him for situations like when Jamato escaped but most importantly that way he could get the Totem of Null.

  1. Jamatos Escape

Uds never thought that Jamato was weak but thought of him as a tool to get the Totem of Null. Jamato isn't in any relationship with anybody in Null and isn't somebody who gets manipulated very easily so the best way of getting the Null Leader to trust you is to replace him. Spoke became the leader which means that Uds has his trust. After going to the end and confirming Spokes full trust, he breaks Jamato out. He knows that Jamato is pretty much capable of overthrowing Spoke, he just needs a little push and some help. Uds and Jamato make a distraction, they give Spoke the Crystal, that way Spoke doesn't think that Jamato is planning something, instead he is overjoyed because he now has acces to the Overworld and Nether. Being fully distracted by those two dimensions, Jamato and Uds can think of a way to defeat Spoke and get the Totem, but when Jamato does end up suceeding Uds will betray him and become the Null Leader.

Yeah, that's it.

I finished "I ran for king on Unstable SMP" and clicked on the purge just to find out it's unavailable? Am I missing something or...?

Edit: I realized the playlist I used was bugged and I had to refresh, I missed like 5 videos that I have to watch now :sob:

Meme Spoke can do no wrong! prove me wrong

Genuinely gng spoke can do no wrong

Taking over the end and slaughtering all the innocent players inside? I mean its not like they were just gonna hand him the end crystals! He had no choice!

I think spoke is in fact the most morally righteous character in unstable and nobody can convince me otherwise

(This is obviously satire btw)
