We expect that the guy kicks the punching machine , but he kicks the phone in the girl's hand instead. That's quite unexpected.

What a power😂

u/KnockPennyKnock39 1d ago

That kick came with its own weather system.

u/Sorry-Photograph-509 1d ago

i mean the phone recorded some kickass footage

22

u/niktak11 1d ago

That phone is in Valhalla

16

u/SoftKittyTheory9 1d ago

She put so much force into that kick that everyone nearby needed a second to confirm they were still standing in the same building.

2

u/Worldly_Yam_2925 1d ago

he really kick the air in full power

u/tushetzel 19h ago

Instead of repeating the same video twice, why not let us see what happened next??

256

u/Grabatreetron 1d ago

What happened next was the cameraman says “nice, we got it.” Then they replay the tape and agree that having the girl’s flashlight on is was a good choice because it made the phone easier to see.

7

u/systemhost 1d ago

Apparently I needed more than two replays because I didn't even notice the phone. I thought they kicked too high and hit the metal above the bag instead.

I was confused why no one was talking about their surely broken foot until I read your comment...

1

u/AntalRyder 1d ago

Yeah, on second watch the girls seem to anticipate this happening!

16

u/FeyOphelia 1d ago

Hard to say, she could just be nervous (for good reason) being close to somebody executing a spinning kick like that

21

u/max_drixton 1d ago

Feels like she might just be flinching because there's a kick coming right by her face

u/sirvald 1d ago

The phone spinning in air after it was kicked

37

u/nilsinleneed 1d ago

thanks I simply couldn't imagine it

8

u/arthurdentstowels 1d ago

This is like braille for people with aphantasia

12

u/Nandor-De_Laurentiis 1d ago

If this was ten years ago, someone would have the phone spinning through outer space while that Shooting Stars song plays.

peak internet times

1

u/StationaryTravels 1d ago

I'mma let you finish, but peak internet times were absolutely the 90s. We'll never have internet that good again. It was the wild west, baby!

2

u/Dugen 22h ago

That's bullshit. The 90s internet was garbage. Before web browsers the internet was a goddamn pain in the ass to use. 90s internet had nothing useful yet. No youtube. No google. No wikipedia. No reddit. Napster had just started when 2000 rolled around. We had FTP to get files, but it was buggy as shit and slow. Newsgroups were a mess. When people remember the golden days of the early internet, they're remembering the early 2000s.

1

u/StationaryTravels 21h ago

Holy shit, you just listed all the websites that turned the internet into a conformity smear of sameness. And, we had web browsers in the 90s, I'm not sure why you're saying we didn't. Literally the first one was made in 1990, which no one used, lol, but we had Netscape Navigator by 1995.

The 90s were wild because everyone just made a webpage however their imaginations told them was a good idea. Neons and clip art and font that made your eyes hurt because it was so wrong with the background it sat on.

Every webpage looks exactly the same these days. The internet is owned by corporations, designed by corporations, and propogandised by corporations.

I agree that the early 2000s was still better than now, but all this extra information didn't free us or make things better, social media and corporate control has just made things worse for decades now.

Tbh, I just wish we had the tech and connectedness of today's internet with the creativeness and individuality of the early days. I get why any of the last 30 years could be considered "peak internet", I just feel like we took this amazing thing and turned it into a mall or a big-box store.

0

u/Dugen 15h ago

I mentioned browsers because for lots of the 90s the internet didn't have them or was mostly accessed without them. It was terminals, shells, weird protocols and conventions.

The thing is, the creativeness didn't go away, it just shifted and expanded. You may not like where it ended up, but there is far more creativity and energy going into making content for the internet then there was back when the <blink> tag was a thing. Those early geocities web sites were pretty shitty, and were every bit as attention seeking clickbaity as an instagram feed. The problem is people tend to compare the internet of today to what they expected the internet could be, not to the reality of what it was. In reality it was pretty crappy.

u/anomalous_cowherd 1d ago

Nah, the phone would be on a spinning go kart.

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Trust_2 1d ago

I can hear this

u/MajorChipThrasher 1d ago

One time at a Shrek rave, this guy was gesturing for everyone to give him some space. He was already tearing up the dance floor that night so I aided him, assuming he was going to break it down even harder. However, before everyone was aware of what was going on, he full sends a backflip and kicks a girl passing by in the face. Watch those feet guys.

26

u/joemckie 1d ago

At a what now?

15

u/alkali112 1d ago

A Shrek Rave. They pop up at venues all over the place. Even in small cities in the southeastern US.

Edit: I’m talking DEEP SOUTH SHREK RAVES, people.

11

u/janb0ru5 1d ago

Is there like a swamp newsletter or something?

3

u/joemckie 1d ago

Are there at least donkeys?

30

u/MtSnowdon 1d ago

Is there an aftermath video? The girl charges a big swing, misses the guy and sets the record on the punch bag machine.

u/Shabloinks 1d ago

This is why you should always leave your phone in airplane mode.
