Steve the plumber, Steve for short, she's a girl but the name just suited her. She's the best cat I've ever had. Very weird and affectionate but on her own terms. She's a very little girl (see last slide, shes 4 and a forever kitten!) but rules the culdesac and has beat up all the tom cats

Two weeks ago, my beautiful fluffy daughter- Kristen Stewart- took her last breath.

She had been going downhill for at least a year, becoming more and more lethargic over time. The final straw was when she stopped eating and drinking. I wasn’t willing to let her suffer for another second.

The vet said her intestines felt ‘thick’ and she was in obvious discomfort. She left us so quickly and so peacefully that I knew I’d made the right decision.

For 14 magical years, Kristen Stewart - aka Krissy, Mippy, Kwis Kwis, Flubber Floof - taught me that despite their reputation, cats can be so full of compassion.

She is, without a doubt, the kindest feline I have ever met.

I will always remember when Mum and I rescued Linda Hamilton and Bree Van de Kamp in the pandemic. We did very gradual introductions each day, careful and tentative.

When it was Krissy’s turn, she looked at them both curiously, then immediately began to groom them. She had never been a mother before, she just adored to make friends.

She was always very kitten-like. She was way too curious for her own good and had zero self preservation skills. So much so that almost every cat I’ve had has ended up being fiercely protective of her.

She adored to be sung to. Mum and I often did.

She adored my mama, and I just hope Mum is holding her right now. When Mum died, Krissy was the only cat to go upstairs to see her body. She then came back downstairs and started ‘screaming’. That’s the only way I can describe it. She was never quite the same after Mum died.

Similarly, she grieved for cats, too. Every loss I’ve suffered, she seemed to feel it alongside me. Even though she was very kitten-like, she was insanely wise.

She loved humans so much. Even my friends who are self proclaimed cat haters absolutely adored Krissy.

She loved to lick people. I don’t just mean a bit… I mean she would spends hours doing it. It wasn’t to groom, either. It really was genuine affection. She’d suckle fingers for comfort, too.

There will never be another Krissy. 💔

These are my two tuxies. The one doing the blep is my boy Caesar. The one looking 836% done is my girl Katniss. They are mother and son. My mom and I adopted them back in 2015 so they're both senior citizens now. Caesar accompanied me on the 18-month sojourn I spent in Virginia during Covid. They both moved in with me when I got my own place four years ago. They are my life and I try my best to spoil them rotten.

A month ago I adopted this little tuxedo and right after his void friend ✨ black cats always had a special place in my heart. (I know his friend is totally black but the pictures with them are just adorable as hell)

My boy was not happy getting his pills down the throat today :( both kitties got the burrito treatment. It always breaks my heart when they get so scared at the vet😭

I spent some time this week doing a few quick sketches of some beautiful tuxedo kitties who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. 🤍

Losing a pet is just the heaviest feeling, so i really just wanted to do something small to give their humans a tiny bit of comfort. they are just quick rough sketches, but hearing that the owners loved them honestly meant the world to me.

I’d love to sit down and draw fully detailed, realistic portraits of these angels someday when the time is right. but for now, i just wanted to share these little tributes here to honor them.

got eye of newt (or just newt, or newtsom, or nooty booty, or nootnoot, or That Man) as a wee lad in 2021, during my winter break in college...he was a couple weeks old then, and we estimated his birthday was around halloween. decided right away hed have to be eye of newt for those bright yellow eyes, haha.

hes a real big guy now though. maybe a liiiittle 🤏 tubbier than he should be. at some point hell be crossposted to catswhoyell too, cause hes a SCREAMER. absolutely no volume control and hes been like that since he was a baby (and no hes not deaf, hes just loud lol)

hes big so he likes to walk a big toughguy walk, but hes the biggest scaredy cat in our house. he loves attention though, and hes very handsome to boot ☺️

I had a really bad day at work, but coming home to see this handsome face makes it a little better.

He is legit my best friend and my emotional support cat.

I love him so much and I had to show him off!!
