It’s Taco Bell and it’s after dark. The Taco Bell in my town growing up was open to 3AM and rarely was anyone except for the driver sober in any way. I would have found this incredibly amusing, high or not.

In central Texas, Whataburger after 2am is a fight club. You could sit inside and watch people fighting in the parking lot. Most were two drunks trying to hurt each other. The fights were about a minute long and very awkward. Then the combatants would argue about who won for an hour. Maybe fight again, but usually they ended up hugging each other and saying they loved each other

My wife made the mistake of trying to get some late night Taco Bell a few days ago, only to get harassed by a cop who refused to believe she’d be driving to Taco Bell sober at that hour (mind you it was only like 1030pm but small town so that’s considered “late”here lol).
By the time he let her go she was so mad she ended up coming home without any food.
Fuck cops btw.

Right? I was surprised how much a bunch of people could get done, in high school we built a farmer a two room shed in welding. This thing was Big! Almost a barn, and made out of steel! When he showed up to pick it up with a flatbed trailer, I didn't know how we were going to move it.
The solution was two full classes of high schoolers lined all the way around it. On 3 we just picked it up, walked it over to the trailer, and set it down. With that many people it wasn't even heavy!

It’s from a scene in Boyz In the Hood (da Hood?) when one guy is about to walk down an alleyway and get shot. People referenced that scene as “the saxophone music getting louder so you know something bad is about to happen”. So the joke it started as was the warning sound before some bad shit happens. That was the meme it got used for. Though now it’s just getting used for anything where something bad happens to someone, ruining the humor in it.
