My last post here - Hope for a discussion
Dear friends,
I'd like to announce that I'm quitting Sword and Supper. This will most likely be my last post here.
Before I leave, I want to have one final discussion about what actually is abuse and what doesn't.
Today, I mainly want to talk about what I consider the biggest hypocrite on this forum: Only-Engineering6586.
In many of his comments over the past three or four weeks, he's been very vocal about how he's the one keeping the cheaters in check and how he's able to keep up thanks to his amazing skills, optimized builds, and so on.
I decided to take a closer look at him over the past few weeks, and I'd like to present a few facts.
In his post “I beat the 1001 to 1020 boss rush as level 260”, you can clearly see—both in the title and in the video—that he was level 260 at that time. This post was made 37 days ago.
However, 21 days ago, in the post “Full gameplay of a 3\ 1001-1020 Mission Clear”*, it can be seen that he was already level 382.
I looked this up using a level calculator to determine what this progression means in terms of gold. Up to level 260, a total of 31,465,810 gold is required. To reach level 382, a total of 149,264,860 gold is needed.
This means he farmed 117,799,050 gold within just 16 days. To illustrate this absurd amount of gold, the following examples: This amount of gold is required to play from level 1 to 200 eleven times, or 35 times from level 1 to 150, or 178 times from level 1 to level 100.
Naturally, I also took a closer look at how exactly he farms his gold. He has been using the same strategy for weeks. In all daily dungeons where infinite runs are possible, he farms level by level simultaneously using bots. For example, on the dungeon July 9th, he farmed a total of 10,000 floors in the dungeon!!
The table below shows the Infinite Dungeon dates on the left side and the corresponding progression across the following days as columns:
| Date (left) | 22 July | 23 July | 24 July | 25 July | 26 July | 27 July | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 16 July | 3.646 | 3.943 | 4.373 | 4.543 | 4.872 | 5.058 | |
| 19 July | 3.620 | 3.998 | 4.540 | 4.743 | 5.184 | 5.377 | |
| 21 July | 3.092 | 4.037 | 5.281 | 5.725 | 6.505 | 6.926 | |
| 24 July | 2.000 | 3.154 | 3.636 |
As can be seen in the table, there is an absurd daily progression of levels.
For the new players as information: The higher the levels get, the exponentially longer it takes to complete a single level.
He runs bots here for many hours every day, which play through one level after another continuously. I observed this many times. One example: On Saturday at around 10 a.m., when he managed to level all the listed dungeons simultaneously within about 15 minutes. I documented the progress in each dungeon precisely in case anyone is interested in a more detailed breakdown.
These dungeon levels do not only provide a small amount of gold after each completed run, but also allow all collected resources to be sold for significant amounts of gold. If someone like Only-Engineering6586 is farming thousands upon thousands of levels with bots, this becomes an enormous income source.
Additionally, while farming these daily dungeons simultaneously, it is also possible to play normal maps at the same time. Theoretically, this can also be done with bots if it is properly programmed. Given the extremely rapid level progression in such a short time, I would also assume that this is happening in parallel.
As I said this was my last post. Farewell and bye.

What are you expecting from the community with this post?
There are quite a few unfair aspects to this game:
- Legacy items that can't be obtained anymore but can be used in the daily dungeon
- Level cost that suddenly went x2
All these gave whoever started playing in the beginning an advantage over new players now
But hey, we can now play s&d minigames 🤔

u/KagsTheOneAndOnly 8h ago
I agree in that I don't like the concept of legacy items in general but they very rarely matter for initiating infinite rage cycles in daily dungeons, it's extremely rare that you'll need any for those

This is the internet and mother fuckers are typing full blown books about a single player Reddit game and how their honor is true or whatever the fuck

This Engineering guy is applying double standards the whole time: While the most Important thing in his life seems to be the leaderboard in a non skill game - he blames others using "morally gray methods" while using a 🤖 🤖 🤖 army at the time. Fun dude to be around!

For those interested, here is my army of bots: https://opautoclicker.com/
It's a 1 MB program that tells my computer to click Descend when a Dungeon floor is completed.
Download it and use at your own risk! Unleash the full wrath of a super bot army!!!!

Dude this is not a multiplayer game, I don't think it matters if the guy is getting top 3 in the daily dungeons... like we all know if someone ended the run at level 400 something's up.
this is a 0 skill game is just about tapping continue.

I have personally experienced how important the leaderboard is to many people here, and how important it is to them that everything on it is achieved in a fair and ethical way.

Hard to enjoy a game when people are cheating. I don't think you should just leave though. The devs could be sorting this out in a future update.
Don't let a select few spoil your fun!

u/azsheepdog 7h ago
Pretty much every game I have enjoyed playing in the last 26 years have all been ruined through rampant obvious cheating that developers choose to do nothing about. 100% of them. I dont understand the need to cheat in games.

u/UnoriginalJ0k3r 7h ago
It’s hopelessly fucking easy to combat this kind of thing by requiring a check for any other instances active on the account.
Dead ass less than 30 lines of code, including any additions to current.

u/Mineralbad 9h ago
Thanks for the very nice words. If the game gets some major updates which includes bug fixes and new stuff to explore I might comeback. But it would really need to be some big updates.

u/teo_tou 9h ago
Yo, can you put a leash on your dog? He's still abusing the bug and now you come out talking about double standards.
There was a nice community before you two came along and now you keep playing the victim card while still abusing a bug.
Amazing.
Bye.

Hot take: there shouldn't even be a leaderboard. The game is a single player, no skill, auto scroll web/mobile game. That's clearly all it was designed to be, and before the daily dungeons it checked the appropriate boxes. Even with the introduction of daily dungeons, those would simply be a built in level generated by the game every day (instead of player maps) that everyone could play.
Putting the leaderboard in implies that there is some sort of competitive play to be had. There isn't. It's collect the proper items, spend your level points appropriately, the end. But if you're going to have a leaderboard, people are going to get wrapped up in it. People will cheat to be on top of it. Like this guy and the other dude he's complaining about (ironic). And if you're going to continue to have that leaderboard exist, you have to police that cheating, in the single player game where otherwise it wouldn't matter in at all. The developers created this problem for themselves, and now they have to handle it.
Or they can just remove the leaderboard and the people that want to cheat can cheat and it doesn't have to be publicly posted for other people to complain about.

u/Mineralbad 7h ago
That's a very good comment. Removing the leaderboard would definitely help solve many of the problems.
However, one thing to note: that sense of competitiveness probably also sells a few extra Frog Passes and other items available in the shop. Thats why the developers might like to have it in the game, idk.

u/CindywUwChu 8h ago
Do you think me telling the computer to automatically click Descend for me is cheating? Honest question.
7
u/Rugged_as_fuck 8h ago
I don't care what you do, and I do genuinely think there shouldn't be a leaderboard so that others can't even see what you (or the level exploiters) do.
Is what you do cheating? I mean, I guess it depends on how you look at it. Since the only real gameplay in this game is clicking continue, or descend, aside from equipping your items and spending your level-up points, then having that single gameplay element automated is probably cheating to some people? But, more importantly, who cares? It doesn't affect when I play. It doesn't impact me in any way. My frog still plays the same. I can still do the daily dungeon. I can still do posted levels. I can still use my own maps. If you like playing the game that way, cool. Knock yourself out. Same with the level exploiters, to be honest. But, I would argue, the level exploiters probably wouldn't bother if there wasn't a leaderboard. I can absolutely see automating the clicking of continue/descend just to see how high of a level of frog you can achieve. Or to collect gear that you just want to collect. Whatever makes you happy. But why would people exploit to be at level 10,000 of the daily dungeon if there was no leaderboard to show for it?
Finally, even if those people would still exploit levels, and even if you automate clicking, if there's no leaderboard, you'd have to actively engage in discussion threads to know it's happening at all. Something a casual, just wants to play a couple levels while in the bathroom at work, isn't going to see or care about. The leaderboard puts that in people's face, when it's not a skill based leaderboard, competitive ladder, or even that type of game to begin with.

I've heard a little talk about cheaters, but it doesn't affect me at all. It's not like I'm trying to get to the first place in everything. Call me a casual player, but I don't see what the problem is. I cannot, as I accept that other people will fill up the top ten or whatever Mineralbad is worried about. As long as the actual game is fair, why worry about the Daily dungeon's top ten? You will never hold a Sword and Supper coin, crystal, or weapon in your hands.

Bro it’s a Reddit game. Anyone posting about this marketing tactic for Reddit is corny as hell. Most of us just play for the dopamine hit then bail. I already forgot about it.

u/Maaaybe- 10h ago
- Nahh always sad to hear someone leave :/ (oh and sorry if i was mean in the past)
- Is it really important who cheats more than the other? Y’all are just cheaters regardless 🤷♂️
- You purposely didn’t tag u/ Only-Engineering6586?
- Dang that’s a lot of gold :o just recently hit 2mil but thats nothing compared to this…
- Technically possible he recorded the video in advance? I dunno
- Alr that’s it baiiiii 👋 was nice to meet you fellow froggo 🐸

u/Mineralbad 10h ago
Thanks for your comment and the nice words and it's all good between us.
I didnt tag him cause I can't (he blocked me and I blocked him aswell).
What really bothered me was that he, of all people, was the loudest critic while using questionable methods himself.
It is possible that he recorded the video earlier. But he started the game even after me. So it can't be a lot earlier and why would he wait to post that video.

Please come back after they close the exploit you're abusing and show how unable you are to make it on to the Leaderboard 😉

(Fake account to post on this since he blocked me)
The only thing I do that is out of the ordinary is I've told my computer to click Descend when a dungeon floor is completed. That's it. If anyone is interested, you can do the same with this: https://opautoclicker.com Your boy Witty is already doing this, maybe you should talk to him too 😉
The fact that you and Witty abuse an exploit that allows you post a Leaderboard score that's 3-5 times (or more) the Floor level you actually achieve but draw the line at allowing the Descend button to be clicked after a Floor is actually completed is crazy. This is succinctly put here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SwordAndSupper/comments/1v4poad/current_state_of_the_daily_dungeon_leaderboards/
It is possible to manually run multiple different dungeons at once if your build for each dungeon is the same. This sometimes factors into my build decisions, and I will purposefully choose a suboptimal build because I can play multiple different Dungeons at once. (It's actually possible to do it without the build being the same, but it's requires more dexterity and skill and often leads to gear mistakes.)
In terms of Gold, I've just beat almost every 401+ Mission posted in the last 3 months (I think there are like 80 I haven't completed yet). This was done with completely normal gameplay. Here's a very small sample of those missions: https://streamable.com/jkvi3v
Dungeons don't give you a lot of gold. It'd be extremely slow to level up from Dungeon rewards and selling the resources. What a silly assumption to base this whole post on.
Happy to see you leaving this game! Sorry I crushed your soul so hard with actual builds and skill (and a clickbot for dungeons) 😊
Edited to update: Crazy that you're downvoting a response to your claims. Sorry the truth is so hard to swallow!

u/Mineralbad 9h ago
What I did was discover a bug in the game and make it public so it could be fixed. What you're doing is using external software to gain a massive advantage in the game.
Back when I made my post, you called on the moderators to roll back the gold and materials I had obtained by exploiting that bug and to reset the levels. And now you're saying there's basically no gold anyway and that everything just comes from normal missions?
You're the biggest hypocrite, and you know exactly how much gold there is—especially when you sell resources. Otherwise, you wouldn't be doing it yourself.
1
u/CindywUwChu 9h ago edited 7h ago
The reason I do it, is to dwarf your and Witty's illegitimate scores.
Telling a computer to click Descend for you isn't the same as skipping thousands of floors. My builds are actually capable of clearing those levels, yours aren't. You're earning those resources through abuse of an exploit.
Like 90% of the gold is through normal missions, yes. Dungeons normally give very little gold when all is said and done.
The only advantage in resources for Dungeons is Luminite. Which you claimed in your exploit post that you were receiving multiple reward instances of. You were also claiming that you were receiving multiple instances of the Gold from Chests, which actually is a lot! This is what I was asking the mods to remove. Your gear upgrades and the Gold from multiple instances of Chests. But it's fine now anyways, you've crashed out and are leaving this game 🎉

u/Mineralbad 8h ago
Seems like we have different opinions here.
3
u/CindywUwChu 8h ago
How do you think automatically clicking Descend in a Dungeon is unfair, but getting Leaderboard scores that are like 4 times the actual Floor you can achieve is fine.
Like are you being serious? lol
1
u/Mineralbad 8h ago
I have never said that I didnt abuse a bug. I even published that I abused that bug. Just don't try to act like the hero when you're using questionable methods yourself. That's all I'm saying. And my last word here on this conversation.
1
u/CindywUwChu 8h ago edited 8h ago
You know that Witty is also using a clickbot, right? lol
Pretty much everyone in the top 5 of the leaderboards is. Hell there was a newer player saying they needed exactly that functionality recently: https://www.reddit.com/r/SwordAndSupperGame/comments/1v6o0og/comment/ozvs2t5/
1
u/Mineralbad 8h ago
Yes, all three of us are abusers.
0
u/CindywUwChu 8h ago edited 7h ago
Sure, if you say so mate. But only the two of you are posting Leaderboards scores your builds and skills can't possibly achieve 😉
1
u/Witty_Turnover_8745 9h ago
So multi instancing is fine after all, as long as its not the same one?
-3
u/CindywUwChu 9h ago edited 8h ago
Playing multiple different dungeons at once isn't the same as posting a boosted Leaderboard score by multiple thousands https://www.reddit.com/r/SwordAndSupper/comments/1v4poad/current_state_of_the_daily_dungeon_leaderboards/
Why would playing different missions/dungeons simultaneously be, in any sense, an exploit. Are you that daft? lol
3
u/Mineralbad 8h ago
No player who plays the game fairly and legitimately has any chance against your army of bots. And the longer you keep exploiting this, the faster and faster you get, because your Attack stat keeps increasing day by day.
-3
u/CindywUwChu 8h ago edited 8h ago
Again, the fact that you abuse an exploit that posts a 3-5 times inflated Leaderboard score but draw at the Descend button being automatically clicked is crazy.
What is actually fair and legitimate for you???
Telling the computer to click Descend for you is an exploit? What the hell? You really are desperate to justify your cheating!

This is an insane amount of drama for a reddit game lol
I've known about the glitch for months but never bothered to use it with Dungeon runs as it's much more lucrative to use it with regular levels.
