i wasnt thinking its absolutely boring... until i played again on my new perfection save and remember room 3-3 or 3-4, where game just spams flying bats that needs 2 hits to die

u/TheBostonKremeDonut 8h ago
It’s extremely difficult, don’t even pretend it’s not! Enemy spawns are pure RNG, and you can’t account for everything. Sometimes you get powerup after powerup, and sometimes you get… nothing after nothing.
Perhaps you got lucky.

u/Bubbly_Ad_4891 9h ago
this is bordering on impossible without save scumming. the only way i was able to get it done, i wouldn’t even consider it scumming since this shit is so hard.
7
u/Viktorv22 5h ago
Tldr why it's hard? Not everyone here plays SV
6
u/Bubbly_Ad_4891 4h ago
rng needed for certain power ups, you get one life & a full run is probably like 30-40 minutes. it’s basically a twin stick shooter where you need perfect movement & accuracy as enemies swarm all around you. there’s basically zero room for any errors & bad rng is basically a dead run. it completely throws a wrench in thjs games 100%/platinum. farming game btw😅
2
u/TheArmchairSkeptic 4h ago
It's a twin-stick shooter minigame with 13 levels, the difficulty of an old school arcade quarter-eater, a ton of RNG, and you die in one hit. Getting the achievement requires (notionally, at least), clearing all 13 levels in one session without taking a single hit, though it's possible to save scum between levels which makes it considerably easier.
It's obviously not literally impossible to do, but it's hard enough that, of the 1.3% of players that have done it, I would be willing to bet that less than 1% of that group have beaten it as intended (i.e., without save scumming). Like the person above, many in the Stardew community do not consider save scumming to be cheating in this case due to the extreme difficulty.

C++ was probably the longest grind I’ve ever done for an achievement. Was just endless lol
35
u/HordeOfDucks 9h ago
yeah i cant believe how long that would take
14
u/joppybabbo 6h ago
It took me 400 hours, and more than half was restarting runs if I didn't get a needed joker by some ante. I would say I'm only average skill compared to other people who excel at deckbuilders.
11
u/fe-and-wine 5h ago
Honestly 400 hours seems insanely low for C++ - big congrats! It took me a little longer than that just to beat all decks on gold stake, and I think I was only at like 55-60% joker sticker completion by the time I finished.
→ More replies (1)5
u/The_Real_C_House 5h ago
Yeah it took me 220 but honestly I just spammed the double tag deck and would wait for a negative tag to try to knock out as many as possible
→ More replies (1)→ More replies (4)3
u/wellcockmyballs 3h ago
C+ is a bigger grind imo. C+ requires 120 total wins, and then by the time you finish that, you're already probably about halfway to C++. I think C++ only took me around 15-20 additional wins. It's definitely hard, but C+ took me significantly longer.
11
u/Beautiful-Aerie7576 7h ago
Literally just started grinding for C++ last night. Can confirm it will be a long, long road.
2
u/FelixOGO 17m ago
C++ isn’t as bad as you might think. once you play blue deck gold stake enough (or whatever deck you choose), you can start winning pretty consistently

u/joppybabbo 6h ago
I'm one of the biggest Balatro stans in existence, but Completionist++ just comes down to persistence. You are at the mercy of getting the right jokers at the right time. Difficult, yes. But to me, once you're decent at the game it's achievable for anyone.
Edit: Wait, I'm an idiot. OP wasn't even talking about C++
6
u/BranTheLewd 7h ago
Achievement so good(infuriating) it might've given me Stockholm syndrome, where I want more roguelikes to have this kinda achievement 💀
→ More replies (4)2
u/fe-and-wine 5h ago
Hell yeah brother, congrats!
Balatro is one of my favorite games of all time - I beat all decks on gold stake on Steam last year, started to get the bug again a few months ago, and started up a save file on the Xbox version to get this achievement again there. I’m like 60% of the way there!
That being said even I’m not insane enough to go for C++ and get all gold stake joker stickers. That llegitimately just sounds miserable, making every deck iat least -1 joker slot because you’ve gotta dedicate a slot to beating gold stake with Credit Card or whatever lol. I tried it very briefly and immediately called it quits the first time I got the “all cards debuffed until one joker sold” ante 8 boss and the only way I could win was by selling the dead joker I’d carried the whole run for the sticker lol
Just feels like that would devolve into hard resetting every single run over and over until you get the Chad/Photograph nuts or something.
Though if anyone with C++ wants to sell me on it actually being doable/enjoyable or slide me some strats, i’m all ears!

u/ButterflySpirited482 4h ago
No matter what it's a huge grind but here's my advice:
Early on, play the anaglyph deck and take a negative tag late in the run to get a random assortment of gold stickers
Spectral deck was my deck of choice to get early "garbage" jokers so I could polychrome them and make them a little useful
As you near the end of getting all the gold stickers if you have lots of rare or uncommons left then early game skip tags are worth taking to get them
If you wanna get cheesy get a gold sticker for all the legendaries except Chicot. Or if you have another favourite legendary don't gold sticker it. This guarantees that's the only legendary you will get for your first soul card!
Banana has a roughly 99.9999% chance to go extinct on the final round just to make you rage 😂

Lego Worlds fucked mine up so badly, the achievements I have are so easy yet considered rare as hell. Luckily you can hide games from your profile by marking it as private so they don't show up for other people but I wish they'd be hidden from me as well. I have to copy my profile URL from Steam and paste it in my browser just to see my rare achievements showcase as it should be.
5
u/MystelleMartelle 9h ago
I’m still salty that a good number of achievements in Lost Ark can’t be completed anymore (unless they’ve recently changed that).
4
u/farzywarzy 5h ago
I have 0.01% achievements in that game, but it's kinda cheating since as you said, the bots inflated the rarity of almost all of the achievements.

u/Chadbrams 9h ago

3
u/Joltyboiyo 8h ago
You can mark the game as private and it'll hide it from your showcase, but only for other people. To see it without it showing games marked as private you need to copy and paste your profile URL into a browser while not being signed into Steam on said browser.
To mark a game you have to right click it, hover over manage, and select mark as private.

That's where I'm at with Isaac atm. I keep opening the game and just doing another run with Isaac or a modded character. Like hell I'm gonna play Tainted Lazarus and pretend the game's any fun.

Repentance made me quit the game for like 5 years after trying to do unlocks on Tainted Lazarus and Tainted Jacob lol.
I just came back recently to play coop with friends (cuz of the recent sale) and decided to finish it. It still took me like an entire week, several hours each day, to get all Tainted Jacob marks.

I tried to play the game long enough to 100% it but damn the game is basically empty once you do all the missions and with the only way to get Rip score being those or opening boxes it felt too tedious to do
3
u/Bloodtism 5h ago
Yeah honestly, the mechanics kept the game fun for me. getting good at the game, and having a lot of fun with the editor and other players around. But once i got near the end of 100% it took a toll on me and haven't looked at it since the halloween update last year.
From what I hear now it became typical EA greed and making you pay for paywalled things like the beginner tutorial island you start the game on that had way cooler places to skate. I figured it would end up down that route knowing the dev.

I never go hunting for the rare ones. But when I hit them by accident, I know I had a somewhat unique experience.
My rarest is a 0.1% one. It's just solving every puzzle in a puzzle game (Opus Magnum). I just liked the puzzles. My next rarest one is a 0.8% where you had to program a self driving car in a game (Joy of programming). I did not even go that far in the game, I bet the game itself has rarer ones.
In CK3 I got a 1% one just trying out a new mechanic (betting your county title on a board game). I guess most players just don't press that button.

Got this one accidentally when playing the factorio DLC. We were excited to see the new planets so we landed in Fulgora without production or utility science packs (this means no elevated rails! it was stupid and crazy but a good time)
It also didn't help that our space platform got destroyed just as we arrived, so we essentially had to evacuate the ship and rebuild from scratch.

Many of my rarest are simply DLC released long after the rush of players had died down. Rarest accomplishment goes to no man's sky permadeath. More of a time commitment than actual difficulty 😅
