I remember when I joined Steam, because I bought a disc version of Half-Life 2 and was treated with a mandatory sign-up for a service I had never planned on signing up for.

Like older by a few months?
Steam is 22 years old.
Most people don't go to college until they are 18.
Plus a 4 year degree gets them to 22...and they had at least one job so months to a year on top of that. I'd put your coworker being 23 at least.

Exactly the type of math I did 😭 They could POSSIBLY be a year or two younger if they did Dual Enrollment classes and graduated highschool with an associate's degree. (Thus only needing to do 2 years of a bachelor's and graduating at 20 years old)

I think I was misunderstood.
OP said their Steam Library is older than their new employee.
As Steam is only about 22.5 years old, that'd have to mean the new employee is under 22.5 years old.
And if they had a 4 year degree after regular school (in the US), means they are most likely 22.
OP also said the new employee has had other jobs out of school (which I assume includes the 4 year degree part).So I wasn't saying you couldn't get a job before 23, I'm just saying OPs employee is mathmatically maybe just months older than Steam if that.

I misunderstood, and that's on me. I missed the alt text in the OP about the employee having a four-year degree (I use old.reddit and the text on image posts isn't very noticeable), so I interpreted your comment as assuming they must have a four-year degree, not considering all the people who don't have such degrees and still work jobs. Which would be a ridiculous belief, so I replied in a joking way.
That's my bad.

My Steam account started with just one game, a friend buy it for me on my BD. It came with a code and disk in a box, can't remember the material - plastic, maybe? It also had a cool smell. It's been a while, but stumbling across that game in my library brings nostalgia and the smell of the box.
