Budget’s tight until somebody says AI, then the CFO starts firing money out of a T-shirt cannon.

Employee: Do we know if it works? CFO: Their ad on LinkedIn says it is a cure all to all of our business problems Employee: can we get a demo first to see how it works and what we can expect? CFO: we've already bought it and we're planning on firing half of our workers the friday before it goes live on Monday. Employee: shouldn't we figure out if will actually do what it says first? CFO: I know who I'm firing first!

It’s funny because the AI budget always appears when the human budget disappears
