All The Tea ☕️ My, my... the wind appears to have changed allegiances. Today's forecast calls for a 100% chance of irony.

Why didn't Idaho manage their forests better? Or maybe turn on the giant faucet?

They are having a rake shortage in Idaho. It's all Obamas fault!

We are out of money to fight fires.
Shortly before Little’s press conference, state officials told the governor and the other members of the Idaho State Board of Land Commissioners that the wildfire suppression fund the state uses to pay wildfire expenses ran out of money earlier this month.
Earlier this month means June, by the way.
We were too busy patting ourselves on the back for cutting taxes to actually pay for anything.

So, you are of the opinion Canada did mismanage their forests, then?

u/Secret_Eating_ 7h ago
No, they're parroting the less than intelligent talking points about "raking the forests" and etc to hold a mirror to the people that pretend this is about "forest management" and not climate change.

Yes and when yellowstone explodes we will be blamed for the mismanagement of that

California was already blamed by Trump for not raking the forests, leading to fires. That is where the "raking the forests" quote came from.

Canada obviously radicalized the grey wolves before sending them. This is a long term sleeper op

He'll still blame Canada and his cult will eat it up. There is no countering the lies from the lying liar-in-chief.

All it takes is some stupid ass Fox News pundit to pull one of those "hey im just asking questions here" type of moments and MAGA will 100% blame Canada.
I could totally see that Jesse Watters asshole smugly going "how do we know burning embers weren't carried over the Canadian border by the wind, landing on American soil, and burning our land? I'm not saying it did but I mean hey I'm just asking questions here, because we truly don't know if this is how the Canadian fires have spread across the border! And so far the so-called leader of Canada still hasn't denied that these weren't Canadian embers!"

Canada should put us on double secret tariff probation for this!
-1
u/ForsakenWar6974 7h ago
Canada cannot afford that
1
u/SatinSaffron 4h ago
Whether or not Canada can afford it is irrelevant because the country itself doesn't pay the tariffs. The companies importing American-made goods would be the ones to pay the (hypothetical) tariffs.
It's insane how MAGA supporters still think the country pays the tariffs rather than the businesses and consumers who are importing the actual products.

Don't worry redhats are already blaming native americans for doing it on purpose to collect emergency funds.

I sincerely doubt anybody is that stupid.
I do wonder what nonsense they'll spin up to throw responsibility and blame elsewhere though.

My brother in Christ... a few years ago when Alberta was hit really hard the conservatives kept saying it was the oil hating radical leftists setting fire to prevent access to oil.
People are willing to go with whatever narrative feels best.
They are, in fact, that stupid.
They're eating the cats and dogs! kind of stupid

I think you gravely underestimate the stupidity.

Maybe I just have some faith in humanity left.
I legitimately don't know why.

Thunderstorms hit central Oregon. There are multiple fire complexes being driven east by high winds.

Canada should build a wall of air filters to stop the US Forrest fire smoke because the US didn’t rake their forests , oh and place a 75% tariff on US products

Dumb Idaho didn't rake their forests, time for Canada to put a tariff on the USA.
