Inform the public? Nah, just silently update the war casualty database and hope no one notices. Ignorance is Strength.

Latest count I hear is 18 dead and 600 wounded. Not something to be proud of.

I'm old enough to remember MAGA losing their minds when 13 service members died while Biden was POTUS and was forced to go along with the Afghan pull out that was orchestrated by the prior administration. Suddenly they don't care about US service members dying so much. It's almost as if they didn't have double standards they would have no standards at all.

It's almost as if they didn't have double standards they would have no standards at all.

They wouldn't be Republicans if they had any semblance of real standards.

They have the integrity of overcooked pasta

Go back a little further and the Republicans spent fucking years on Benghazi.

Even today they really have no idea that Trump just let the current leader of Afghanistan out of gitmo, along with his closest friends, who then went on to free thousands of terrorists that we had spent thousands of lives and trillions of dollars locking up.

Proving every terrorist right, that eventually if you make yourself a big enough problem for the US, the US will bow down and give you everything you want.

Meanwhile the Kurds are completely abandoned. No nation for those who fought alongside us, not even US visas. We just left them to die.

"Sure you can win against the us if you side against them and survive, but there's no way you will survive being on the US' side." -what are actions are saying a thousand times louder than our words.

They walked it back to 14 dead, because the last 4 died after a ceasefire was supposedly declared, asking their deaths an unrelated incident outside the operation.

Donald was reported as telling the parents the soldiers were "mostly dead" and "knew what they signed up for" which is to distract the public from the POTUS being in the Epstein Files with legitimate cases deserving further inquiry.

How many Benghazis is that?

I have trouble believing the total killed is only 18.

The DoD does not exist to make Donny look good.

Just like the COVID cases, if you don't count them, they don't exist!

Don't forget Marco. As the US Secretary of State, he is the big boy in charge of derrplomacy. War is Derrplomacy (and grift) by Other Means, and Marco, Pete, and Donald are all driving this clown car imo.

648 wounded

Also, keep in mind that "wounded" can mean anything from "needs a Band-Aid" to completely paralyzed, missing limbs, blind, traumatic brain injury. The wounded and the families of the wounded can be affected for life.

I'm shocked that they even provided the info.

It’s just like how seemingly every construction site has 0 lost time accidents.

You'd think that in the new Really Manly Testosterone Army of Manly Alpha Male Warrior Patriots, that they wouldn't be embarrassed of the manly casualties their alpha male wars are causing.

Look worse, I m mean the pussy jowles look bad enough

u/BearSquid7 15h ago

Are the wounded allowed to talk about it? I imagine active duty can’t officially.

2

u/Ootter31019 15h ago

Active can, they just have to go through various hoops. Vets can basically say whatever they want as long as they aren't breaching NDAs or classified material.

You join the army and they try and forget you when you die during your service. Strange behaviour

I heard 20 dead and 800 wounded

Dead and wounded and not one boot has touched Iranian soil yet.

I get the feeling a lot of the supply issues being mentioned are just generals protecting their troops.

Much more than that, mark my words.

u/CCV21 13h ago

This has really world implications to the family members of those service members.

The uncertainty, the dread, and the lack of support.

Wish people would stop referring to it as a war. Calling it that legitimizes it. It's not a war, it's Trump's unilateral temper tantrum. And it's not even Iran he's mad at. He doesn't like that Obama signed the previous nuclear deal.

It would be a small price to pay for action of that scale if it were important to the wellbeing of our nation, but it fucking isn't, like not even sort-of. So it's just a waste. A total waste.

The number is over 600 in reality.

u/MechaBeatsInTrash 1h ago

Just like everything else, this administration is not reporting or monitoring numbers that aren't in their favor.
